“Yatnira was great with Bogie! We were away for over a week, which was the longest we’ve been away from Bogie but she gave me peace of mind with pictures/videos almost on a daily basis. She was quick to respond whenever I contacted her. It was our first time leaving our dog with her and we’ll definitely trust her with Bogie again. Highly recommend!”

“Kelli was incredible. I felt she really loved on Jonquil. I had some travel difficulties at the start and she was gracious and flexible. She kept me up to date and sent pics. Jonquil loves Lucas, and misses him already. I think jonquil felt safe and loved on.”

“Ryan went above and beyond to make sure our dog felt comfortable and cared for during her first Rover stay. Daily text, video, and photo updates were appreciated. We never had to worry about how she was doing and it seemed like she had a wonderful time! 5 star stay!”

“Anita is the absolute best! Archie he stayed with her twice already and she’s so responsible and communicative — super flexible and very friendly. I can’t wait to have her watch Archie again.”

“Kim was great with Maddie! She kept me updated with pictures throughout her stay, and communication was excellent the whole time. It was clear Maddie was well cared for, and I felt completely at ease while she was with Kim. I highly recommend her!”

“We are very thankful to Norma and Luke for taking care of our little fur baby over the weekend. They made sure we are actively in the know of what was going on. We really appreciate all the messages and updates as that always helped us to be at peace while traveling.”

“Was willing to take my last minute booking. Easy pick up and drop off. Great communication. Sent pictures of the dogs playing and having a great time. Buzz has been napping on the couch since we got home yesterday, he had a lot of fun.”

About: The Care Takers That is primarily me. I love pets. I have a dog of my own. I became a sitter because I know how important it is to have a safe and affordable place for our furry family members to stay. I also really enjoy training dogs. I usually spend 15 min per day trying new tricks with my pups and any guest pups in the house. My partner lives with me as well. He also loves dogs. He is a vigilant food and water bowl filler upper. He's also a loyal behind-the-ears-doggy-scratcher. The Companions Lola and Quinn are my roommates. Lola is an American Cocker Spaniel who is 9 years old. Quinn is our cat that is calm and friendly. They are both friendly with small and large dogs. The Home Is located off Ridge Road in Smyrna. The house has hardwood throughout and tile in the kitchen/sunroom. Pets are allowed in all areas of the home as long as they've been house trained. We have a large crate for dogs who have been crate trained and are comfortable staying in one while we are away. Dogs are allowed on the couch as long as owners allow this type of behavior in their own home (we don't want to break any obedience training that has been established). The Outside I live in a single-family home with a large back yard. It is 75% fenced with a natural tree line and small creek on the far end. Keeping pets contained to this area is manageable but pets can be kept on leash if they’re known to be runners! There are plenty of shaded areas. There is a large and small patio that the dogs have access to. On warm days I fill up the doggy pool. For the most part, the backyard is free-range. My pets play fetch with balls, sticks, and frisbees. They are very friendly and are not protective or territorial of their food or toys. I work from home most days and am available for walks, playtime, naps, and pet specific care throughout the day. We are up and moving round early and keep a pretty steady schedule. I have a large yard fenced on three sides with a creek bordering the final side where dogs can run and have fun in a safe environment (if mom and dad approve).
“Edward was phenomenal! I was out of town and coordinating pet care coverage and he was fully engaged in organizing pick up and drop off by my friends. He made a stressful situation so much easier. I appreciate Edward immensely! He will take good care of your pets.”

“This was my first time leaving my dog for such a long time, so I was definitely very nervous - especially since my dog is a nervous rescue dog with a lot of quirks. Luckily, Michelle made Hamilton feel right at home and texted me updates every morning about what he was up to and how he was doing! She also included some photos and videos, so I felt comfortable with him staying with her family. I will definitely rebook with her family again when I go out of town. :)”

“Eduardo was great with Ronnie. He really loves animals and went above and beyond to take care of him. He’s also very accommodating with the logistics of drop off and pick up.”

“They were incredible and super sweet! Astro was treated like one of their own. I received frequent updates and knew Astro was in good hands with their family. I will definitely be re-booking!😊”

“Serwaa is an amazing sitter! Our pup was well cared for, safe, and clearly loved while we were away. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional care for their furry friend, except when she is taking care of mine. 😉🐶”

“Steffini provided a safe and comfortable space for my pup. She was thoughtful with the questions she had for me. She gave me the perfect amount of communication/updates while boarding. Would highly recommend for your boarding needs.”

“I am so grateful for Shawn and Wandie! Not only did they take great care of Valentino while we were away, they sent several pictures while we were away. That made us feel like he was home away from home. Highly recommend!”

Mariangely was an amazing sitter! She checked in with my boys often sending pictures of them both inside and on the walks, also including any health that seemed concerning to her! I definitely recommend going to her if you want somewhere safe for your pets to stay of you are going out of town! I will definitely book with her again!

Christine was fantastic! She was communicative sending pictures and status updates of my pup throughout his stay. He got lots of long walks, which Christine timed perfectly so neither of them would be too hot. He loved so happy I wasn’t sure he would want to come home lol. I felt less guilty leaving him because I knew he was well taken care of. Will definitely be rebooking in the future.

Randall was amazing with our 6 year old dog! He can't be kenneled, so having a place where he can be the only dog in a safe, comfortable place is critical for our family. The updates Randall sent made us feel like we could relax, knowing he was so taken care of. We will definitely be using Randall again!

Had never used Rover before but we were going on a long trip and didn't want our pup Ollie to be in boarding for that long. Jordan was so amazing. She did a quick trial run with Ollie to make sure he was comfortable. She did pick-up/drop-off which was super conveniently, and kept us continuously updated with pictures throughout our trip. Ollie looked so happy and right at home staying with Jordan. Jordan was super caring and a great communicator. Would highly recommend, especially if new to Rover.

Anika was AMAZING! She took such great care of Gipsy and made me feel at ease the whole time I was away. She sent me pictures and updates every day, which I really appreciated. She was so kind, flexible, and easy to talk to. It honestly felt like I was talking to a friend! Gipsy absolutely LOVED her. I think she was having so much fun she barely even missed me! It was obvious she was well cared for, happy, and loved while she was there. I would 100% recommend Anika to anyone looking for a sitter. I'll definitely be booking with her again!

Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
