A typical day
A typical day includes plenty of fun and stimulation to keep your pup happy and active! During walks, I make sure they get time to sniff and explore letting them enjoy all the exciting new scents outside. Indoors, I love playing interactive games like fetch or tug to keep them engaged and entertained. I visit the dog park at least twice a week with my own pup, and your dog is welcome to join us for some fresh air, exercise, and socialization with other friendly pups. Pet care experience
🐶 I love long walks in the park… especially with dogs. I specialize in caring for small dogs (30 lbs and under) in a calm, loving home environment. I live in an apartment and have a small dog of my own, so I focus on hosting pups who are comfortable in a cozy space and enjoy the company of other small dogs. 🐶 My dog Zeke is a 10-year-old, 15-pound Australian Terrier mix with a sweet personality and plenty of energy. He’s up to date on all vaccinations and flea/tick prevention, and I ask the same for any pups staying with us so everyone stays safe and healthy. 🐶 Because I work remotely, I’m home most of the day and able to give dogs lots of attention. A typical stay includes multiple walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of cuddles. I also send photo updates so you can relax knowing your pup is happy and in good hands. 🐶 My goal is to create a calm, safe, and fun environment where your dog feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I’ve spent years caring for small dogs and understand their personalities, quirks, and routines. 🐶 Since I live in an apartment with a small dog, I usually care for dogs 30 pounds or under who are at least 3 years old, friendly with small dogs, and up to date on vaccinations and flea/tick prevention. 🐶 If I’m caring for your dog in your home, I follow their routine closely so they stay comfortable and stress-free. I’d love to meet you and your pup. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Reviews

Anika took good care of Duncan and we were happy with her communication and care until the day we picked our dog up. We came home a day early because our cat (with another sitter) had a medical issue. We messaged Anika at 1:30pm about picking Duncan up that day, and acknowledge it was a day-of request and appreciate her flexibility. Our concern lies primarily in how long he was left in his crate. Anika fed Duncan a very early dinner at 3pm and then left for an evening event and did not return until 11:45pm. We mentioned on his profile and at the meet & greet that we adopted Duncan recently and had been working on leaving him for longer periods to prevent separation anxiety. We had gone "up to 6 hours on rare occasions". We were surprised to hear he was left for much longer, and would have expected to learn of this commitment at the meet and greet. When this was raised with Anika, she stated that we did not agree to "constant care" and we had said he could be left for "several hours" during the day. Anika originally wanted to schedule pickup for the following day, but we are appreciative that she worked with us to arrange a pick up at midnight when she returned, since we were concerned about our availability the next day. She later explained that it was raining and she had not felt comfortable meeting at night in the parking lot during a storm, but we did not learn of this until later and would have been happy to meet at the door had we known that she felt unsafe. We had not even needed an umbrella at the time of pickup, so it did not cross our minds as a concern, especially since she would have had to let the dogs out anyway. The next day I noticed our dog had eaten part of a pee pad in his crate, so we took him to the ER. I will NOT make the assumption that this happened during Anika's care, but this is new behavior that I assume is influenced by anxiety from being left too long. We do believe Duncan was cared for, and we appreciated and felt safe with Anika's care and communication throughout Duncan's stay, but we will not book with her again.

Anika was wonderful with my toy poodle, Disney! She cared for him for nearly a week and made sure he had such a fun, comfortable stay. I loved that he was able to tag along with her to the market and spend time with her sweet dog, so he had a little buddy to play and relax with. She also sent the cutest updates—photos of them lounging outside and napping together on the couch—which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear Disney felt right at home with her. I would absolutely book with Anika again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, attentive dog sitter! 🐾

Anika was great and took great care of my dog! She watched him for 3 days when I had to leave town on short notice. She did a great job, provided plenty of pics and updates, and he was very happy staying with her. I recommend Anika to other pet owners!

Very communicative and Alex was happy and healthy.
