“She was absolutely amazing with my cat! I was away for a full week and felt completely at ease knowing she was taking care of her. She communicated every single day and sent lots of updates and pictures, which meant so much to me. It was clear my cat was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will book her again!”

“Eduardo was great with Ronnie. He really loves animals and went above and beyond to take care of him. He’s also very accommodating with the logistics of drop off and pick up.”

“Was willing to take my last minute booking. Easy pick up and drop off. Great communication. Sent pictures of the dogs playing and having a great time. Buzz has been napping on the couch since we got home yesterday, he had a lot of fun.”

“Diandra is very honest and very kind dog sitter. My dog stayed one night at her place, and she sent me some fun photos of my dog. I’ll definitely give her a message when I need help. Thank you, Diandra!”

“Charles is amazing! Incredibly kind, caring, and attentive to our two older bassets. We had given our dogs baths the day they were scheduled to be dropped off with Charles. One of them (Pepper) ingested some of the shampoo, and it really upset her stomach. We informed Charles of the situation and asked if it was okay if we kept her overnight to monitor and drop them off the next morning. Not only was he understanding and accommodating, he even offered some very helpful advice on symptoms to watch out for, and good ways to reintroduce food into Pepper’s diet. This kindness brought my wife and I to tears in a very stressful moment. During Wiebe and Pepper’s stay with Charles, he was excellent about sending pics and updates every day. He even followed up about Pepper’s tummy troubles, reassuring us that she was doing great and having no problems holding food down. Leaving your dogs in a new place for the first time can be scary. You never really know if they’re going to be looked after with the same care that they receive at home. With Charles, those worries melted away within the first minutes of our meet and greet. His home is a doggie paradise where you can rest assured that your beloved pets are in incredibly good hands.”

About: The Care Takers That is primarily me. I love pets. I have a dog of my own. I became a sitter because I know how important it is to have a safe and affordable place for our furry family members to stay. I also really enjoy training dogs. I usually spend 15 min per day trying new tricks with my pups and any guest pups in the house. My partner lives with me as well. He also loves dogs. He is a vigilant food and water bowl filler upper. He's also a loyal behind-the-ears-doggy-scratcher. The Companions Lola and Quinn are my roommates. Lola is an American Cocker Spaniel who is 9 years old. Quinn is our cat that is calm and friendly. They are both friendly with small and large dogs. The Home Is located off Ridge Road in Smyrna. The house has hardwood throughout and tile in the kitchen/sunroom. Pets are allowed in all areas of the home as long as they've been house trained. We have a large crate for dogs who have been crate trained and are comfortable staying in one while we are away. Dogs are allowed on the couch as long as owners allow this type of behavior in their own home (we don't want to break any obedience training that has been established). The Outside I live in a single-family home with a large back yard. It is 75% fenced with a natural tree line and small creek on the far end. Keeping pets contained to this area is manageable but pets can be kept on leash if they’re known to be runners! There are plenty of shaded areas. There is a large and small patio that the dogs have access to. On warm days I fill up the doggy pool. For the most part, the backyard is free-range. My pets play fetch with balls, sticks, and frisbees. They are very friendly and are not protective or territorial of their food or toys. I work from home most days and am available for walks, playtime, naps, and pet specific care throughout the day. We are up and moving round early and keep a pretty steady schedule. I have a large yard fenced on three sides with a creek bordering the final side where dogs can run and have fun in a safe environment (if mom and dad approve).
“Katie is such an amazing sitter. She takes great care of my dog while I’m away for work. She sends updates and pictures, and always makes time for lots of walks and play time. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Cindy was great! Chloe was right at home and found a new playmate in their sweet senior dog. Plenty of photos to keep us updated and at ease. Lots of play time outside! We will definitely book again and highly recommend!”

“Debbie and Joni took great care of Jackson! I felt comfortable leaving him in their care and will be using them again in the future when I am out of town. Thank you, Debbie and Joni!”
“Andy has become my go to sitter when Zeus needs overnight care. Andy communicates well and keeps me updated with regular pictures and comments. Zeus enjoys his time with Andy. Thanks Andy!”

“Ashli was so wonderful! Our dog thoroughly enjoyed her stay and she was very well taken care of! Ashli’s backyard is amazing, which is super important to us - very safe fence for all dogs, even small ones (ours is 10 pounds). We got great daily updates that made our day while we were away. We will be using her again! Definitely recommend. 5 stars!”

“Another fantastic stay for our golden-doodle Lucy! Stephanie and her family treat Lucy like their own and it makes leaving her so easy. So many pictures and updates! Lucy is a terrible eater and Stephanie goes above and beyond to make sure she is eating well. She really is the best!!”

“Estefania was WONDERFUL with our dogs. She spoiled them rotten with lots of outside time and walks. They came home exhausted and happy. She was also very patient with our dogs. Our husky, Amos was showing signs of food aggression and she worked with him. Our Australian Shepherd Oslo is shy, timid, and can be leash reactive. She gave him space and time to warm up to her. Now she’s his favorite human. My husband and I have never left our dogs for longer than a day or two, so leaving our dogs with anyone makes us very nervous. Estefania gave us peace of mind while we were out of the country. I cannot thank Estefania enough and will definitely rebook with her every time we go out of town!!”

“Ryan was great and attentive taking care of our Shih Tzu, Baobao. We received daily update and photos of Baobao hanging out with Ryan, his family, and Aurora, their own dog. Baobao looked comfortable and transitioned easily to Ryan's home setting. He returned to our home very happy as well. We highly recommend Ryan to other pet owners.”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care Anika provided for Bentley ! From the moment I booked with her, she was communicative and professional. She took excellent care of my fur baby and kept me updated throughout the stay with plenty of pictures, which was so reassuring. It was clear that she really cares about the pets she looks after, and I could tell my dog was comfortable and happy with her. I would absolutely recommend Anika to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter. Thank you so much, Anika! I’ll definitely be booking again in the future!”

Christine was fantastic! She was communicative sending pictures and status updates of my pup throughout his stay. He got lots of long walks, which Christine timed perfectly so neither of them would be too hot. He loved so happy I wasn’t sure he would want to come home lol. I felt less guilty leaving him because I knew he was well taken care of. Will definitely be rebooking in the future.

The service was fenomenal!! My boy was happy, they took really good care of him. They keep me posted with the activities and also send me pictures and reports of him. Really profesional and loving people. Highly recommended. Thanks so much for taking care of Pablo!!!!

Randall was amazing with our 6 year old dog! He can't be kenneled, so having a place where he can be the only dog in a safe, comfortable place is critical for our family. The updates Randall sent made us feel like we could relax, knowing he was so taken care of. We will definitely be using Randall again!

Chaela is an absolutely wonderful dog sitter, and I couldn't recommend her more highly. From our very first meeting, it was clear that Chaela genuinely loves animals and takes her responsibilities seriously. She took excellent care of my two dogs, Max and Pongo, treating them with so much warmth and patience. She kept me updated with photos and messages throughout their stay, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. Both Max and Pongo came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well loved. Chaela is reliable, attentive, and truly has a gift for connecting with dogs. I will absolutely be booking with her again, and I recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter. Thank you, Chaela, for taking such wonderful care of my boys! Laure D.
Norma and Luke have watched our dog Osito twice now, once for 10 days and once for 4 days, and both times have been great. They are so kind and patient with our senior dog. They make sure he is comfortable and feels loved while we are away. They’re very communicative, sending updates and pictures multiple times a day. I recommend them as dog sitters without hesitation.

Kelli and her family were absolutely wonderful. She sent daily photos, kept me updated throughout Stormy's stay, and made sure all of Stormy's needs were met. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome and demonstrated a genuine expertise in caring for dogs. Any anxiety I had about leaving my baby quickly disappeared after seeing how attentive, accommodating, and compassionate she was. I felt confident that Stormy was in excellent hands. I highly recommend Kelli's services and will definitely be booking with her again in the future.

We are so grateful for Astrid. So has taken incredible care of our best boi Winston. He is really needy, and just needs to cuddled and loved a lot. Like a whole lot. We were a little nervous about leaving him with someone, and were referred to Astrid by a close friend. She exceeded all expectations! She kept us updated on how he was doing while we were away. It was so nice and refreshing, as we were worried that he wouldn’t be engaged or played with. This was not the case with Astrid. We will 100% be using her services again, and I can’t recommend her enough. THANK YOU ASTRID!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
