“I had a good first experience with my Chelsey. She was very patient and present with Chima, especially since it was their first time meeting. My kitten can be a bit shy at first, but she took her time, stayed in the room with her, and gave her a lot of attention, which really helped Chima start to open up. You can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does, which made me feel more at ease.”

“Stephanie is a godsend. It's so hard to find a sitter who is professional, reliable, and kind - and that becomes even harder when you have a whole herd of animals to take care of (2 dogs and 4 cats)! Stephanie has surpassed our expectations every time she cares for our animals. She takes her job seriously and also clearly loves animals. We feel really lucky to have found her!”

“This was my first time using Rover for a sitter (versus a boarding-like facility), and I have to say that Susan was wonderful. With never using a sitter before, I was a little nervous about leaving my boys with just anyone, but Susan proved to be great with them! She sent me numerous updates with pictures of my pups and updates of my home (she stayed at my house) while I was away. I would definitely recommend her and will definitely be using her services again. Thanks so much, Susan, for everything!”
“Lauren was great. She was so sweet with Greta and sent pictures every day. She even made sure Greta had her bed nearby at night so they could be together. I highly recommend her”

“We would absolutely recommend Shannon. She won over our anxious pup over the course of her stay, and we felt comfortable being away knowing she was minding our home and our pup.”
“Another excellent sit by Lauren. Kept in touch as there was potential tornado alert that weekend! She made sure Rosie was safe and stayed with her. House clean and tidy on return she definitely makes leaving your pet and your home less stressful”
“Amanda was awesome. We have two dogs with opposite personalities and one who can be reactive. Amanda gave clear and consistent updates throughout the visit and sent great photos as well. She was able to bond with our reactive dog and keep an eye on our skiddish one. We have already rebooked her for the next trip.”

“Ashton was great. She took the time to visit me and my pet before the scheduled booking, taking great notes and ensuring my pet would be familiar with her. Will be using her again.”

“Valarie was a fantastic sitter in our home. Great communication before her stay and during to make sure we were on the same page and that our pup’s routine stayed the same. Valarie helped with training and some behavioral items we are working out, and she did a great job and used prior experiences to do so. Very respectful of our home and we came home to a very tired pup. We will happily rely on Valarie in the future when we are on vacation.”

“Ethel was absolutely incredible taking care of our pups (for the first time) while we were gone for 8 days for our wedding! She sent lots of pictures and videos, followed our instructions to a T! Will definitely be booking in the future.”

“Cindy did an awesome job caring for our elderly pup Faith! Sent photos and kept us updated so that we could relax knowing she was well taken care of. Would highly recommend!”

“Paige did a great job taking care of our Golden. She was super responsive and communicated often, with updates and photos. We felt very comfortable leaving our dog and our home in her care.”

“Omg Zoey was such a breath of fresh air and relief to my emergency situation of needing someone to take care of my animals last minute! Super professional prompt and attentive to my pets needs. I had a wonderful vacation know my fur babies were in her care! I will definitely be booking again!!! Thank you Zoey!”

“Hannah was a fantastic sitter. She took great care of our pets, kept everything clean, and made the whole process easy with consistent updates. We came home to happy pets and a spotless space, which is exactly what you hope for. We’ll definitely be booking with her again.”

“Khadijah was absolutely phenomenal! Leaving you pet with someone new can rattle the nerves but I felt so comfortable with Khadijah watching my pup. She provided great updates and wonderful pictures. She also responded at any point I messaged her promptly. I’d highly recommend Khadijah for your pet services.”

“Eve was kind enough to agree to a last minute booking when our originally scheduled sitter cancelled at the last minute. She took great care of our dear pup and sent lots of photos.”
“As Alia was a perfect overnight dog sitter. Our pups loved her and felt safe with her care. She went above and beyond with feeding, playtime, and keeping them happy while we were away for a two week trip. Even when a medical emergency arose, she acted quickly and was able to get our dog care without hesitation. I would recommend her to anyone. She’s one of the best sitters we’ve had!”
The median cost per night for house sitting in Mableton is $50
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mableton
Chelsey was absolutely incredible! We were away on an international trip for over 10 days and she was the most perfect house & pet sitter for our sweet, old senior pup. I tend to have anxiety when we travel and Chelsey made sure to send me updates and multiple photos every day to help ease my mind that all was well back home. She showed such love and care for our pup Donut, and our home! She even went above and beyond when, due to flight delays and issues on our return trip home, we needed to have a friend stay unexpectedly for an additional night by washing our guest room linens and towels to make sure our friend had what they needed when she left. We will 100% be booking with Chelsey again and I can't recommend her enough for anyone who needs pet-sitting support! <3

Angela did an amazing job watching my dog Milo and made me feel so comfortable while I was away. She sent regular updates and photos, kept me in the loop the whole time, and clearly cared so much about him. I even came home to an extra clean apartment, which was incredibly thoughtful. Could not recommend her more highly and I will definitely be booking with Angela again!

Linque did such an amazing job with Rodney. She was very responsive and respectful to us and our home. She did things we didn’t even expect! She was very interactive with him and kept him busy along with taking him on many walks. She is nice and funny as well which is always a good plus. She went above and beyond for him, we appreciated everything she did and more. We cannot wait to book with her again😁❤️

Caroline was exceptional. She communicated to ensure she understood all details of our trip and our dog’s needs. They were well cared for. We never had a concern. It was so nice not having to worry while we were away. If we ever need dog care again, she would be our choice.

This is the second time Stephanie house sat for our Spaniel and we will definitely use her again! Our spaniel is a little older now and has some long term side effects from a spine surgery so he needs a little extra attention and we didn’t think he would do great in a boarding environment again. Stephanie arrived on time, took great care of our buddy, sent regular photos and updates, as well as left the house in great shape. Most importantly for us, we did not worry about our pup’s care during her stay! We highly recommend Stephanie for caring for your pups.
This was our second time using Raniyah. She is so kind, gentle, and patient with our scaredy-cat dog and provides lots of playtime for the kitties. She sends tons of photos and interacts freely if she needs anything — which I appreciate. I’m so happy to have found her and hope to use her again soon. Highly recommended! 😊

Heather gave excellent service. I was so nervous about boarding my dogs. They have been with no one else but me since they were babies. They are 11 years old. She make sure that she sent me pictures dessert show that my babies were okay and having a good time. I did a weekend test with her because I'm going out of town for a week and I needed someone to take care of my babies. As long as I have dogs and I need somebody to take care of them I will contact her immediately. If I could go higher than a five star she would get it. Heather thank you so much for taking care of my babies.

Chelsea was wonderful. She was attentive, spending lots of quality time with our dogs and going above and beyond to help our younger one expend his energy. She was communicative, sent many pictures, and was a truly great house guest and sitter. Overall, Chelsea is a caring, cheerful and delightful human. We will certainly book again!

Absolutely LOVE Taylor!! Will definitely book again! Her fur babies Hank and Ralph were so sweet and playful with Arlo! They went for walks and made sure Arlo had all the cuddles, love, and treats. So thankful!!! I even booked last minute after my other sitter cancelled last minute and Taylor was so sweet and flexible. It was amazing!!

We were grateful that Breanna was available on short notice and provided caring daytime attention for our pets and took care of our home. Everything was in good shape when we returned. However, she didn’t stay overnight as expected for a house-sitting booking. While our pets were fine, I’d recommend confirming expectations around overnight stays if that’s important for your booking. We’d still consider her for drop-in visits in the future.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Mableton on Rover is $45.51 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mableton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mableton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mableton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
