“Stephanie was so great with our two very diverse personalities within Walker and Rhea. Managing a senior dog on top of a high energy dog is a lot but Stephanie did it so well. Her communication was great, pictures were awesome, and the biggest compliment is how our dogs acted towards her…and they adore her! Thank you Stephanie!”
“Amanda was great! She was able to house sit for our senior dog and cat while we were away for a week on vacation. Our dog takes a long time to trust new strangers and her experience really showed as she was so patient and understanding of his needs. She was excellent with her communication and sent frequent updates with photos of our fur babies throughout the week. It was very comforting to see how they were doing. She went above and beyond to attend to their needs. We’re so grateful for her help!”

“Chelsey was wonderful! She was communicative and took great care of our cats. One of our cats often gets stressed out when we are out of town, but when we returned home he showed no signs of distress! Both cats were very happy when we returned home. Also, our home was immaculate. Thank you Chelsey!!!!”

“Cindy did an awesome job caring for our elderly pup Faith! Sent photos and kept us updated so that we could relax knowing she was well taken care of. Would highly recommend!”

“Eve was kind enough to agree to a last minute booking when our originally scheduled sitter cancelled at the last minute. She took great care of our dear pup and sent lots of photos.”
“Linque was so good with our two dogs, and kept us up to date with lots of pictures and updates. I can’t imagine us having picked a better pet sitter for our first experience with Rover. You definitely won’t go wrong picking Linque for your pet sitting needs.”

“Nmantendi was THE BEST!! We were gone 3 nights and got updates and photos many times throughout the day. We came home to a spotless and organized home and happy dog. Unfortunately, our puppy got sick on the last day, but she was there to love and care for him until we got home. She will be our go to person to watch our dog and home. Thank you, Nmantendi!!!”

“Lauren was absolutely amazing!! I had to find a sitter last minute, and I loved her bio the moment I read it. She responded quickly to my request and made sure to nail out the details for my dog’s stay. I could tell she’s experienced and loves animals, and so could my dog! She sent regular updates and pictures, and when I saw my dog frolicking in her backyard and snuggled up later on in the evening like he forgot I had dropped him off was all I needed to set my mind at ease haha! Lauren is a fantastic sitter and I will absolutely be booking her again. Thank you so much!!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a child, whether it was family dogs, or for dog sitting jobs. People have relied on me to walk, feed and take care of their fur babies when needed. I am available on the weekend as well as weekdays to do dog walking. My schedule is pretty flexible throughout the week for dog walks. I have a pretty big yard for your dog to be able to run around freely. I also have extra toys, and treats available if needed to provide a great experience for your fur baby.

“5 stars! Hannah is our go-to sitter and always takes great care of our pets and home. Excellent communication, regular updates, and everything was in great shape when we got back. We never worry when Hannah is staying with Dakota and Watson. Highly recommend!”

“Shelby is an excellent house and pet sitter. She is loving and caring with our dogs. The dogs really enjoyed their time with her. She took care of our home and it was a pleasure to not worry while we travelled. We highly recommend her.”

“Our dogs loved Jayne! Our crew of 3 has only lived together since June, and didn’t do as well with a different sitter over Labor Day. We booked Jayne and had a great first impression at the Meet and Greet. She was very thorough, knowledgable, and friendly. Our 13-year-old mini Aussie has been struggling with food recently and has gone on a few hunger strikes. She refused to eat under the care of our last sitter at all, and protested her food for a day or so after we returned. With Jayne, she ate on the first day with only a little bit of reluctance. Jayne sent us loads of pictures and updates, including ones about the medication our mini Aussie needed. She spent a lot of time warming up to our dogs. Our chihuahua mix loved her and spent a lot of time cuddling. Our pointer mix also had a great time playing with some toys she brought. We will definitely be booking Jayne again.”

About: I used to be a dog mom to a mini poodle, unfortunately he passed away at 17 years 🥹. I have experience managing reactive dogs. My fur baby was a rescue. I love my time with dogs because they are just pure joy! I work from home 4 days out of the week (7am-4pm). I typically commute to work on Wednesdays. My job is pretty relaxed and allows me to tend to any additional needs. I’m pretty flexible overall just need notice ahead of time. I am very trustworthy and customer service oriented. I like to ensure I know everything about the household I’m going to and any details about the fur baby that I should be aware of. My goal is to keep the fur baby safe and the owner happy.
“Jackie was great with our cat and our home while we were away. She was able to recognize signs of stress and adjust the care she provided to make sure our cat was happy and comfortable (he is typically on the skittish/nervous side as it is, so we wanted to make sure he was in good hands while out of town). She also sent us photos and updates while we were away. She was very kind and respectful. We will definitely use her again in the future!”
“Valarie was amazing - from great and clear communication to every single expectation being exceeded, she was fabulous. She took wonderful care of our home (it was like we never left) and our dogs were clearly loved and well taken care of. Highly recommend and we will definitely be using Valarie again for future stays!”

“Naho was amazing! She went above and beyond for my pup even got her some toys. Although it was mother’s day we came to an agreement that worked for both of us and I’m glad I picked Naho as my sitter. Very detailed as many photos and check ins were sent throughout the visit and also was extremely punctual and kind. Definitely will be booking again and again 😁”

“This was our second time using Raniyah. She is so kind, gentle, and patient with our scaredy-cat dog and provides lots of playtime for the kitties. She sends tons of photos and interacts freely if she needs anything — which I appreciate. I’m so happy to have found her and hope to use her again soon. Highly recommended! 😊”

Angela did an amazing job watching my dog Milo and made me feel so comfortable while I was away. She sent regular updates and photos, kept me in the loop the whole time, and clearly cared so much about him. I even came home to an extra clean apartment, which was incredibly thoughtful. Could not recommend her more highly and I will definitely be booking with Angela again!

This was a repeat housesitting stay with Jessica, and once again she was absolutely wonderful. We will happily book with her anytime she's available. We have two cats and a dog, and all three love her. One of our cats is extremely shy and typically takes a very long time to warm up to new people. During Jessica's first stay, she was incredibly patient and respectful, allowing our cat to set the pace for interactions rather than forcing attention. Because of that, our cat clearly remembered her and trusted her. Within minutes of Jessica arriving for this stay, she came right up to greet her and even allowed Jessica to pet her again, which is something she rarely does with people outside our family. Jessica communicates well, follows instructions carefully, and genuinely cares about the animals in her care. She sends regular updates and lots of wonderful photos, which always help put our minds at ease while we're away. Seeing our fur babies happy, comfortable, and well cared for means so much to us. One thing that really stood out to us was what happened when she wasn't available for a previous booking. Rather than simply declining, she introduced us to her sister, Natalie, who is also a Rover sitter. Because we'd had a bad experience with another sitter in the past, Jessica went out of her way to personally come to the meet and greet with Natalie to help everyone feel comfortable and make the transition smooth. She wasn't being paid for that time and wasn't even the one caring for our pets during that booking, but she still took the extra step because she genuinely wanted us and our pets to feel at ease. That meant a lot to us. Jessica is reliable, thoughtful, trustworthy, and professional. She also takes excellent care of our home. When we return, everything is clean, organized, and exactly as we left it. You'd hardly know anyone had been staying there. Most importantly, our pets are happy, relaxed, and stress-free when we get home. We couldn't ask for more and highly recommend Jessica to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.

Linque did such an amazing job with Rodney. She was very responsive and respectful to us and our home. She did things we didn’t even expect! She was very interactive with him and kept him busy along with taking him on many walks. She is nice and funny as well which is always a good plus. She went above and beyond for him, we appreciated everything she did and more. We cannot wait to book with her again😁❤️

This was our second time using Raniyah. She is so kind, gentle, and patient with our scaredy-cat dog and provides lots of playtime for the kitties. She sends tons of photos and interacts freely if she needs anything — which I appreciate. I’m so happy to have found her and hope to use her again soon. Highly recommended! 😊

Heather gave excellent service. I was so nervous about boarding my dogs. They have been with no one else but me since they were babies. They are 11 years old. She make sure that she sent me pictures dessert show that my babies were okay and having a good time. I did a weekend test with her because I'm going out of town for a week and I needed someone to take care of my babies. As long as I have dogs and I need somebody to take care of them I will contact her immediately. If I could go higher than a five star she would get it. Heather thank you so much for taking care of my babies.

Natalie did an awesome job of taking care of our little Elvas for 5 days. She met or exceeded our every expectation. Natalie communicated with us regularly to let us know how it was going, sending lots of pictures to show Elvas was being well cared for. We’ll definitely use her services again.

FAQs for House Sitting - Austell
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Austell on Rover is $66.6 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 4,355 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Austell. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Austell walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Austell maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Austell choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Austell. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
