“Parker seems to have enjoyed his stay. Ok the meet and greet, he loved their home, their pup Charlie, the lovely yard and most importantly Christine & Miller. He peered out the window when we were leaving because he didn’t want to go. Parker spent most of his time with Miller and Charlie, and they all seemed comfy. Miller got many cuddles from Parker, which is awesome to see, and I picked Parker up, he was happy but not relieved. You never want your pup to run out like, “oh God you’re here! Take me home now.” If I stayed and chatted, he probably would have relaxed and played with Charlie more. It was comforting to know my guy (a senior) was safe and happy during his visit.”
“I had a challenging time finding someone willing to agree to a 10-day stay with relatively short notice. Surprisingly, he didn’t hesitate. I have a Great Dane, and he’s familiar with them. He scheduled a call to learn more about her and arrange a meet-and-greet. During the meet-and-greet, I had the opportunity to assess her setup and determine who she would be with in advance, rather than feeling pressured to make a decision. He’s incredibly responsive, transparent, and creates a welcoming and exploratory atmosphere. He also provides plenty of playmates for our dog. All of our boarding experiences have been positive. The amount of joy I witnessed from the videos shared and the professionalism of his service surpass all previous experiences. About: I’ve been a dog mom most of my life. I have one small terrier that I rescued 4 years ago. My last Jack Russell lived with me for 19 glorious years. I also am a stepparent to a little maltise. I have house-sat for both friends and family for many years (short and extended!) and I have administered medicine in pill form, as well as inhaler (would be willing to learn injections if necessary). Our oldest cats have lived 18 years, and I currently own four cats (all rescues, aged 2 to 16). Our oldest dogs have lived 15+ I believe, but it's been a long time since owning one (my parents are disabled). I have done a bit of training with dogs and cats alike, but I am not a professional. This includes overnights, emergencies, and short/extended stays. All of the cats are treated with flea medication and I clean multiple litter boxes several times a week. For friends and family, I have had feeding schedules for both dogs and cats, ranging from custom mixed and weighed portions to simply making sure the auto-feeders/fountains are kept clean and filled. My best friend's dog gets playtime and outside time (he has a runner and a ton of toys to play fetch with). He scheduled a call to learn more about her and arrange a meet-and-greet. During the meet-and-greet, I had the opportunity to assess her setup and determine who she would be with in advance, rather than feeling pressured to make a decision. He’s incredibly responsive, transparent, and creates a welcoming and exploratory atmosphere. He also provides plenty of playmates for our dog. All of our boarding experiences have been positive. “Elisabeth and Forrest are amazing! From the moment I brought Pixie over for a meet-and-greet, I could feel the positive energy in their home and knew they would be a great fit for her. One of the biggest signs was Pixie’s behavior during our visit—rather than running to the nearest hiding spot, she came out of her carrier, explored the house, and plopped down on the floor as if she were already at home. During Pixie’s stay, she unexpectedly developed conjunctivitis and needed an emergency vet visit. Elisabeth and Forrest handled the situation quickly, professionally, and with genuine care. They kept me informed every step of the way, which gave me tremendous peace of mind while I was away. By the time I picked Pixie up, her eye was almost completely healed. This was my first time using Rover and my first time leaving Pixie with a sitter, so I was naturally a little nervous. Despite the unexpected health issue, I truly believe Pixie enjoyed her stay and was well cared for. I highly recommend Elisabeth and Forrest and would absolutely trust them with Pixie again.”
