He was incredibly attentive, followed every instruction perfectly, and made sure Kobalt felt loved and comfortable the entire time. About: Professional in-home care with veterinary experience — walks, drop-ins, and house sitting only. I specialize in reliable, stress-free dog walks and enjoy providing pups with safe, attentive exercise Hi! I’m Sharon — a dog mom, animal hospital professional, and future veterinarian. I specialize in in-home pet care, including house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, so your pet can stay comfortable in their own familiar environment. I know how important consistency and routine are for pets, especially when their humans are away. Whether your dog needs structured walks, medication administration, enrichment playtime, or calm companionship, I provide attentive, personalized care tailored to their needs. I currently work as a veterinary assistant, which means I’m experienced with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs. I’m comfortable administering medications, monitoring for signs of stress or illness, and following detailed care instructions. My schedule is flexible, and I work from home part of the week, allowing me to provide reliable check-ins, timely walks, and overnight care when house sitting. I prioritize clear communication and will always keep you updated with photos and notes so you can enjoy peace of mind while you’re away. For safety, I’m familiar with nearby emergency veterinary clinics and will act quickly and responsibly should any concerns arise. Your pet’s wellbeing is always my top priority.
“Amanda was absolutely amazing. She never took care of guinea pigs before but at the meet&greet she knew immediately which questions she had to ask in order to take the best care of our pigs Horst&Hazel! I was really excited and am so happy to have found her. The pictures she sent everyday were awesome. We definitely will book her again! Thanks Amanda!!”

About: I am trying to go in college for vet tech so it’s hands-on experience I truly value! I focus on calm, safe handling and pay close attention to each pet’s health, behavior, and comfort. Your pet will be treated with patience, respect, and genuine care!! :) Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I make sure to plan my schedule around feeding times, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions so pets receive consistent attention and care. I am off on Mondays, which gives me extra flexibility for longer visits or additional needs. I can also request days off with a two week advance notice, allowing me to adjust my availability when needed. I’m dependable, organized, and committed to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. My dogs are outside dogs, but they are very much part of my daily routine. I make time every day for walks, playtime, and individual attention to ensure they’re getting the care, exercise, and affection they need.
About: Since I was a teenager I have been taking care of dogs from friends and family. I will take care of your dog like if it was mine 🥰. I enjoy taking dogs for a walk. I'm currently working from home and I have breaks through the day where I can play or take your dog for a walk. I live close to nice parks. I don't have any pets at home so your dog will be my special guest 😊 I make sure they have plenty food and water and check on him/her if they need to go outside to handle some business 😉
About: I have always loved animals and over the course of my life, I have owned cats, dogs, fish, mice, Guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, and even a frog! OK, the fish and bird belonged to my grandmother, but I lived with her when I was a child, so that made me a silent partner (LOL). I love dogs and my pets were usually strays. Years ago, I got into the habit of dog sitting overnight for friends and co-workers and really enjoyed doing that. Now that I have time available to satisfy my desire to have a pet around (I do not currently own any pets), I look forward to providing a safe, happy, and loving environment for yours. So here I am, looking forward to meeting and taking care of new furry friends. I am semi-retired. Instead of boarding weekly, I prefer a weekend schedule so I can fully enjoy my furry guests. At the earliest, I accept drop-offs on Fridays. The latest for weekend pick-ups is preferably Monday mornings. For safety and security, my guests are always leashed when going outside for potty breaks and walks. For a little more freedom, I take them to a dog park that has a fenced area for small dogs, and a fenced area for large dogs. Inside my home, furry guests are allowed only on the main floor. The upstairs is gated to prevent falls.
“Kourtney- was amazing and did a great job with a last minute drop in.. She was a life saver to us! I would most definitely book again with her. Thank you, Toni and Blu”
“Kaitlyn went above and beyond taking care of Robbie. I felt comfortable knowing that she was taking care of him. I cannot recommend her enough and we will definitely use her in the future.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
