“Raniyah did a great job dropping in with the kitties. She was punctual and communicated well. There was a big winter storm that blew in during my trip, and she helped with a couple extra little things at the house to make sure the animals were taken care of and the pipes didn’t freeze. Looking forward to hiring her again!”
“Linque was very patient and allowed my cat the time to get to know her. She did not force the relationship but responded to his requests, conversations and comments (he thinks he’s a person with rights). I am very pleased with her abilities to dispense his daily medication, provided his needs for mandatory brushing and treats. Overall I will recommend her services to friends and family.”

“Mindy was just amazing. I was very nervous since I had never left my dog with anyone in the past and we didn’t want them on a kennel, specially since we have 3 dogs. After the meet & greet I felt so much better. She was super responsive with messages and also sending me pics of the pups and that made me extremely more calm that they were in good hands and taken care of.”

“Miranda was great! Our shy kitty boys immediately warmed up to her and are very happy. She cleaned our litter boxes and made sure they ate their prescription food.”

“Amanda has been a mainstay for me as a cat owner. My travel schedule can be erratic, and she has remained flexible and cheerful. I can clearly see that she has a deep affection for my kitty cat—which helps me during the long absences. She is an essential resource, and highly recommended. MMurphy”

“We had a great experience with Shelby and are so glad to have come across her on Rover! Shelby was kind, responsible, punctual and communicated well in meeting and setting up our appointment in advance. Above all she was friendly, caring and calm with our beloved Cavachon. She made stops to feed and walk her while we had a long day trip. It was such peace of mind to know our dog was in good hands! We hope to have her again soon.”

About: I have raised and cared for dogs for over twenty years, specializing in hypoallergenic dogs, and currently have two shih tzus. I work from home full time with flexibility to accommodate your pets needs. I can administer meds, including injections if needed. My neighborhood is great for walks. My fenced yard is great for potty and play, and my fenced carport and deck allow for more controlled outside play. I understand your routines are important for you and your pet and will maintain any established patterns, commands and food/sleep schedule for your pet. Dogs of all ages easily feel at home in my home. I look forward to providing excellent care for your pup(s) while you are away. I work from home full-time with flexibility in my schedule throughout the day which makes it easy to take care of any needs and play frequently. I walk in the neighborhood and enjoy cuddles inside and playing outside. Safety and comfort are of utmost importance. The interior of my home is very clean and free of any items that would tempt a curious pup to be destructive. My fenced back yard gets sun and shade, and the gated carport and deck are great for enjoying the outside even if it is raining. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and have access to the house, but your rules are my rules and I will adjust accordingly.
“couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Chrishtian! He took amazing care of my dog son, Kobalt, while I was away on vacation. He was incredibly attentive, followed every instruction perfectly, and made sure Kobalt felt loved and comfortable the entire time. It was clear that Kobalt truly enjoyed his care and affection which gave me so much peace of mind while traveling. I’m extremely grateful for his dedication and will definitely be booking with him again! Highly recommend!”

“Susan is amazing! She goes above and beyond to care for our guy Cosmo. He had some potty issues and she cleaned up too. We can tell she loves him and he loves her. She will definitely be our only choice in the future.”

Your pet will be treated with patience, respect, and genuine care!! :) Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I make sure to plan my schedule around feeding times, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions so pets receive consistent attention and care. I am off on Mondays, which gives me extra flexibility for longer visits or additional needs. I can also request days off with a two week advance notice, allowing me to adjust my availability when needed. I’m dependable, organized, and committed to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. My dogs are outside dogs, but they are very much part of my daily routine. I make time every day for walks, playtime, and individual attention to ensure they’re getting the care, exercise, and affection they need.
About: I bring a calm, patient, and nurturing approach to pet care, which comes naturally from my background working with children. I understand how important it is to create a safe, loving, and structured environment—whether I’m caring for an energetic puppy or a senior dog who needs extra attention. What sets me apart is my attentiveness and reliability. I pay close attention to each pet’s unique needs, routines, and personality. I’m comfortable with basic training reinforcement for younger pets, including potty training and following commands, and I’m equally gentle and patient with senior pets who may need slower walks, medication reminders, or extra comfort. I treat every pet like family and make sure they feel secure, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. Communication is also important to me, so I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos for peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I focus on keeping pets happy, relaxed, and cared for while providing updates to their owners.
“Kourtney- was amazing and did a great job with a last minute drop in.. She was a life saver to us! I would most definitely book again with her. Thank you, Toni and Blu”
About: I have always loved animals and over the course of my life, I have owned cats, dogs, fish, mice, Guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, and even a frog! OK, the fish and bird belonged to my grandmother, but I lived with her when I was a child, so that made me a silent partner (LOL). I love dogs and my pets were usually strays. Years ago, I got into the habit of dog sitting overnight for friends and co-workers and really enjoyed doing that. Now that I have time available to satisfy my desire to have a pet around (I do not currently own any pets), I look forward to providing a safe, happy, and loving environment for yours. So here I am, looking forward to meeting and taking care of new furry friends. I am semi-retired. Instead of boarding weekly, I prefer a weekend schedule so I can fully enjoy my furry guests. At the earliest, I accept drop-offs on Fridays. The latest for weekend pick-ups is preferably Monday mornings. For safety and security, my guests are always leashed when going outside for potty breaks and walks. For a little more freedom, I take them to a dog park that has a fenced area for small dogs, and a fenced area for large dogs. Inside my home, furry guests are allowed only on the main floor. The upstairs is gated to prevent falls.
“Kaitlyn went above and beyond taking care of Robbie. I felt comfortable knowing that she was taking care of him. I cannot recommend her enough and we will definitely use her in the future.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
