“Tamera was great!! I love her willingness to be flexible during unexpected scheduling changes. She’s very great at communicating and sending cute pictures. Would love to have her care for my fur baby any time.”

“Cindy was awesome, we were anxious leaving our elderly pup with someone new and she made the process so easy start to finish. She sent wonderful photos multiple times a day to let us know Faith was doing well and we felt at ease on our trip knowing our pup was getting good care!”

“Amanda was absolutely amazing. She never took care of guinea pigs before but at the meet&greet she knew immediately which questions she had to ask in order to take the best care of our pigs Horst&Hazel! I was really excited and am so happy to have found her. The pictures she sent everyday were awesome. We definitely will book her again! Thanks Amanda!!”

“Miranda was great. She was very responsive and even came by for a meet and great before her job to meet the pups. She was on time and everything went well. Will definitely use her again!”

“Shelby was so amazing. Her communication was great and she took amazing care of our 3 dogs, including 1 elderly pup with a lot of needs. She made us feel completely at ease leaving the dogs. We will definitely use her in the future!”

“My wife and I practically consider Linque a part of the family! She's watched our 2 cats and 2 dogs, 7 times now, and 3 of those times were two-or three-week spans. Our pets love her and so do we. She watered our plants, put out our garbage and took care of our babies perfectly. We trust her with our 4 fur babies even more than our own family. She has gone over and above our expectations every time and we can not say enough wonderful things about her. She gave us twice daily reports with photos and videos and makes us feel comfortable enough to enjoy our trips. We even had a water main break this last time and she was the first to notify us, and the sheriff's office. You will not find a better petsitter anywhere.”

About: I’m very athletic and love nature and the scenic routes in life so I don’t mind going on long walks or even jogs with your pet I am currently a post grad young adult looking for part time walking jobs to fill my spare time. I am currently available on weekdays in the morning or afternoon, and on weekends. I am living at home with my parents currently so I am not able to care for pets in my own home, but for out of home care, I pet sit for my brother frequently and I am good with abiding by all rules previously set within the home and with the pet.
“couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Chrishtian! He took amazing care of my dog son, Kobalt, while I was away on vacation. He was incredibly attentive, followed every instruction perfectly, and made sure Kobalt felt loved and comfortable the entire time. It was clear that Kobalt truly enjoyed his care and affection which gave me so much peace of mind while traveling. I’m extremely grateful for his dedication and will definitely be booking with him again! Highly recommend!”

I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, playtime, cuddles, and keeping pets on their normal routines. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and needs, so I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is in caring and trustworthy hands! I have a flexible schedule and can make time for your pet’s needs. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting, and I’m happy to work with your pet’s regular routine. I’m also happy to accommodate reasonable scheduling requests with advance notice. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications when appropriate, walking routines, and any special needs. I keep a clean, calm environment and make sure pets are supervised and secure. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

“Susan did some drop-in visits with our 3 boys and they took to her quite quickly. She's attentive and professional. We're looking forward to her staying with them for longer stays.”
About: Hello! My name is Jackie. I have been surrounded by animals all my life. I am 25 years old. I got into more experience with handling animals around 15 years of age. I’ve fostered four litters of kittens while finding them new homes. I have experience with bottle feeding. I have looked after friends and family’s dogs as well. I’ve taken dogs for walks, bathed them and other necessary things they needed such as medications. I would like to provide you with the comfort of knowing that your pet is in good, loving care! Pet care fits well into my routine because I currently attend school only twice a week. This allows me to have a flexible schedule for walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting. I’m able to plan my days around the pets I’m caring for to make sure they receive consistent attention, exercise, and care throughout the day. Even on school days, I make sure to schedule visits and check-ins so pets stay on their normal routine. My goal is to keep pets comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible. I provide walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of attention while making sure they feel safe and relaxed in their own environment. I currently care for pets in the client’s home through drop-ins, walks, or house sitting and do not bring pets into my own home. I always send updates and photos so owners know their pets are doing well.
“Kourtney- was amazing and did a great job with a last minute drop in.. She was a life saver to us! I would most definitely book again with her. Thank you, Toni and Blu”

“Keziah took care of my kitty just like she was hers. She fed her, gave her meds and loved on her twice a day. She sent pictures to let me see my sweet girl. I will be requesting that she returns for my next trip. There was an issue with gnats in my litter genie, she emptied the bag, cleaned out the bugs and even emptied the garbage! She treated my pet and home that she would her own home. Thank you Keziah”

About: I bring a calm, patient, and nurturing approach to pet care, which comes naturally from my background working with children. I understand how important it is to create a safe, loving, and structured environment—whether I’m caring for an energetic puppy or a senior dog who needs extra attention. What sets me apart is my attentiveness and reliability. I pay close attention to each pet’s unique needs, routines, and personality. I’m comfortable with basic training reinforcement for younger pets, including potty training and following commands, and I’m equally gentle and patient with senior pets who may need slower walks, medication reminders, or extra comfort. I treat every pet like family and make sure they feel secure, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. Communication is also important to me, so I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos for peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I have a flexible schedule and am available for consistent care, especially during afternoons and evenings, including walks, feeding, playtime, and attentive care. I provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for every pet. In a client’s home, I follow their routines closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I focus on keeping pets happy, relaxed, and cared for while providing updates to their owners.
About: I have always loved animals and over the course of my life, I have owned cats, dogs, fish, mice, Guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, and even a frog! OK, the fish and bird belonged to my grandmother, but I lived with her when I was a child, so that made me a silent partner (LOL). I love dogs and my pets were usually strays. Years ago, I got into the habit of dog sitting overnight for friends and co-workers and really enjoyed doing that. Now that I have time available to satisfy my desire to have a pet around (I do not currently own any pets), I look forward to providing a safe, happy, and loving environment for yours. So here I am, looking forward to meeting and taking care of new furry friends. I am semi-retired. Instead of boarding weekly, I prefer a weekend schedule so I can fully enjoy my furry guests. At the earliest, I accept drop-offs on Fridays. The latest for weekend pick-ups is preferably Monday mornings. For safety and security, my guests are always leashed when going outside for potty breaks and walks. For a little more freedom, I take them to a dog park that has a fenced area for small dogs, and a fenced area for large dogs. Inside my home, furry guests are allowed only on the main floor. The upstairs is gated to prevent falls.
“Kaitlyn went above and beyond taking care of Robbie. I felt comfortable knowing that she was taking care of him. I cannot recommend her enough and we will definitely use her in the future.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
