I had the pleasure of doing a meet & greet with Whitney before I went on my work trip. I decided to do drop-ins and I have to say, Whitney exceeded my expectations and was very personable and professional. I missed my puppy all week and haven’t left him for more than 3 days, but I knew he was in good hands for each drop-in. I’d definitely recommend Whitney, hands down.

About: Most dogs don’t struggle being away from home— they struggle with the environment they’re placed in. That’s why I run a structured, calm setting focused on safety, routine, and proper introductions. Dogs aren’t thrown together or left to figure things out on their own. I’ve worked with a wide range of breeds, temperaments, and energy levels—including dogs that are anxious, high-energy, or need a slower adjustment. I pay close attention to body language, group dynamics, and individual behavior so each dog gets what they actually need—whether that’s structured play, calm supervision, or space to decompress. The goal is simple: your dog leaves balanced, not overwhelmed. Pet care isn’t something I “fit into my day”—it is my day. Dogs here follow a structured routine with: • scheduled potty breaks • supervised play • rest periods • consistent feeding times I’m home frequently throughout the day, actively monitoring behavior and group dynamics—not just “checking in.” This allows me to keep the environment calm, controlled, and safe for every dog in my care. Most issues in pet care don’t come from the dog— they come from the wrong environment. Too much stimulation. Too many dogs. Not enough structure. That’s what I avoid. Dogs in my care are always supervised, introduced carefully, and placed into balanced groups based on temperament—not just size. I maintain a calm, structured routine with: • supervised play (not chaos) • indoor rest periods to prevent overstimulation • clear boundaries so dogs feel secure I also have a fenced yard for safe outdoor time, and I can crate dogs when needed for meals, breaks, or overnight rest. I pay close attention to body language and behavior throughout the day so the environment stays calm, controlled, and safe. This is a great fit if: • Your dog does well in a structured, calm environment • You value safety, supervision, and intentional care • Your dog doesn’t need constant high-energy stimulation • You want clear communication and consistency This may NOT be the best fit if: • Your dog has a history of aggression toward people or dogs • Your dog requires constant, high-intensity activity • Your dog has severe separation anxiety requiring specialized care • You’re looking for a high-volume, kennel-style setup My goal isn’t to take as many dogs as possible— it’s to create the right environment for the dogs I do take. That’s why I’m selective with bookings. When it’s a good fit, it works extremely well.

We had another wonderful sitter visit from Linque! She's truly our trusted Rover sitter. We always feel at ease knowing she’ll take such great care of our adorable cats while we're away. This visit, she needed to give medications, and she handled it perfectly. Our girls have really warmed up to her, and when a small issue came up, she went above and beyond to sort everything out with a cheerful attitude. I wholeheartedly recommend her and have even told our neighbors about her. Thanks so much for being AMAZING, Linque!

Shanese is such a joy. She immediately scheduled a meet and greet to make sure she and my pup mesh. And boy did they mesh! They couldn’t get enough of each other and that let me know she has a kind and genuine spirit. She sent TONS of pics of Axel’s visit, and a message as well. She said he cried and cried watching her leave! LOL I HIGHLY recommend her for your baby. She’s been doing this a long time and loves on every pupper so much, she’s a gem.

I had to request Julia only a couple of days before my trip and was happy that she was flexible to have a meet and greet with our cat the next day. Julia was great with him. This was our first time leaving him but she made sure I felt comfortable. She sent great updates on how he was doing and also sent really great pictures (two of them are my fav pics of him now). I am more at ease now if we will go on another trip because I know if we leave our cat with her, he will be in great hands.

Shannon was able to jump in on short notice when my long standing pet sitter gave notice. Shannon took excellent care of my two cats and they enjoyed playing with her throughout the booking. She kept me posted and left the house in good order for my return. I'd recommend Shannon to other cat owners who are seeking a pet sitter.

About: What sets me apart is the genuine care and attention I give every dog. I've been a dog owner for the past three years, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I also have experience caring for my friends' dogs while they're out of town, giving me the opportunity to work with different personalities, routines, and needs. I treat every dog like they're my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pup enjoys long walks, playtime, or relaxing with lots of attention, I'm happy to follow their routine and provide the care they deserve. My current availability is Monday - Friday: 11am - 7pm EST. Weekends: 9am - 9pm EST. My summer availability is wide open while I work another gig job and food delivery. In August, when I begin teaching, my availability will be weekday evenings and open availability on weekends. When caring for pets in a client's home, I treat both their pet and their home with the same respect and care I would expect for my own. My goal is to make every dog feel happy, secure, and well cared for until their family returns. I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow each owner's instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk times, playtime, potty breaks, and any special preferences or care needs.

Communication was excellent from start to finish, and she sent plenty of photos and updates, which we really appreciated. About: Dogs and animals have been a part of my life since I was little, and I’d love to take care of yours! My experience includes raising and fostering dogs and volunteering at my hometown dog shelter for over 6 years. Thanks to my experience, I’m comfortable handling dogs of any size or breed and take pride in ensuring each pet is safe, happy, and well taken care of. I’m incredibly active and would love to take your pet on a walk or run, or play fetch (all with the Georgia heat allowing, of course!). Since moving to Georgia, I’m currently looking for my next full-time role and am available all day most days to care for your pet. I always ensure your pet is secured to the leash before going out, and I like to take treats, doggie bags, and, if your dog isn’t dog-friendly, a dog deterrent (for unexpected off-leash dogs), with me on each walk. Depending on your dog’s needs, I can tailor walks to get the most out of each visit!

Rachel was so great for a super last minute holiday trip out of town. She communicated with me so well before during & after visits with my goldendoodle (and even stood in the pouring rain to take him out). Lots of pictures & updates too which is always nice when you’re away from your pets ? I will definitely be booking with Rachel in the future!!

Abbigail did an absolutely amazing job taking care of our kittens, Perry and Poppy! She was attentive, reliable, and clearly has a natural way with animals—the kitties loved her. We felt completely at ease knowing they were in such great hands. As it was holiday season, Abbigail even gave us sweet treats as a gift. Abbigail is the best. I’ll definitely be asking Abbigail to cat-sit again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Adamsville. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
