“Mackenzie helped us out when we needed her most - she is super responsive and did a great job watching and walking our little Rowan. He's been a very happy pup since getting a break at lunchtime! Thanks Mackenzie!”

“I had a great experience with Alex! Prompt response times, accommodating, and great pictures! I can tell my senior pup enjoyed their time together too. Would definitely rebook!”

“Stacie was amazing! She went above and beyond caring for our cat. She was incredibly communicative, always responsive, and I could tell she and Santi had so much fun together. She was very caring and attentive to every detail of his care, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We highly recommend her! 😊”

“She took such good care of my pups and at a last minute request. My senior dog who doesn't like everyone absolutely loved her. I would definitely recommend!!”

“I cannot recommend highly enough. Andrea took such wonderful care of my cats!! She brought cat treats that helped with digestion and coat, brought toys, and even left the place cleaner than I had left it- to name just a few things. Andrea loves animals and is very intentional and caring about her work. I trust her and feel it is my good luck that I came across her profile. Again, cannot recommend highly enough.”

“Julia is always great to our pup and this time she also had to handle a finicky doorknob that broke on her. She let me know right away she had an issue and problem solved getting it back together to lock the door. Highly recommend!”

“Meredith was very kind and asked thoughtful questions to get to know my cats during our initial meet and greet. She also communicated very well and responded quickly to my messages. Though I only booked two days of services, Meredith was able to pet one of my cats from the very first day! She also provided pictures, videos, and thorough updates on the cats. I definitely felt at ease leaving my cats with her and won't hesitate to use her again.”

“I would definitely recommend Shanese to any pet owners who need care for their dog! I went away out of the country and got updates all throughout the trip which was comforting. She also bonded with my pet which is awesome because my dog is nervous and a bit stand-offish with new people and a pretty good judge of character when somethin isnt right! Lol So the fact that she warmed up to Shanese says a lot as well. I also came home to a full bowl of food and a big bag of treats she bought for her. Thank you for taking care of my Princess! ❤”

“Vivian was amazing! Never once had to request any additional information or worry that my dog, Fynn, was unhappy. Super accountable and knows what she is doing.”

“Sergio did such a great job checking in on Holly this weekend! She’s an anxious cat, but she warmed up to him quickly. He kept me updated and made sure she was well cared for. I’d definitely book him again!”

“Desiree was so helpful in watching our dogs! We haven’t had anyone dog sit at home before and she made us feel completely comfortable and constantly updated us on how the dogs were doing and sent pictures!”

“We had an amazing experience! Our cat, Juniper, was so well cared for while we were away, and it made our vacation so much more enjoyable knowing he was in such good hands. We received lots of photos and updates, and it was clear he was happy and comfortable the entire time. It was such a relief coming home to a happy, relaxed cat. We've already recommended her to our friends and will absolutely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!”

“Emma took great care of my dog during a couple drop in visits! It was a huge relief knowing she was taken care of while I was gone for the day. I received updates and photos from her visits.”

“Morgan was such a great cat sitter! My shy girl Mia even came out for her. She was communicative and made sure to give the best care to my babies. Would definitely rebook!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and temperaments and currently raise both a senior dog and a puppy, so I understand the different needs each stage requires. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, medication (if needed), walks, crate training, and providing a calm, loving environment. I treat every pet like my own and prioritize safety, communication, and reliability. I have a flexible schedule and prioritize pet care daily since I have dogs of my own. I’m available for weekday mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends for walks or drop-ins. I can also provide boarding whenever it is needed. I provide a structured, safe, and attentive environment. My home has a fully fenced yard and two well-socialized dogs. I supervise all playtime, separate pets when necessary, and follow feeding, medication, and exercise routines carefully. Cleanliness, security, and communication are extremely important to me, and I provide regular updates with photos for peace of mind.
“Nicest person ever, went out of her way twice to meet the cats and get the keys beforehand, sent SO many photos playing with my cats and cuddling with them, followed my instructions perfectly, left my cats some treats, and I can go on. Couldn’t recommend Ena more!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Atlanta
Natali took care of our three cats while we were out of state and she was fantastic! One requires insulin injections, one requires an inhaler for asthma, and the other is just an old creeky cat. Three kitties who I would consider a lot of work and she left us such detailed and caring notes. Thank you!

Delfina was great! She sent pictures everyday, was very responsive, met before her official start day to meet my cats, see where everything was that they needed, learn the routine, and learn how to enter my apartment. She was wonderful and I would definitely book her again.

We get very excited to see the pictures Cindy sends us! She captures their personalities. We have a blind cat, a deaf cat with health problems and she does a great job of caring for them. She goes above and beyond. She takes the time to wash their water bowls every time. We couldn’t do it without her!!! Thank you Cindy for loving our fur babies so much!
10/10. Exceptional service!! THANK YOU Melissa. Every aspect has been top-drawer. From communication and pre-meet, to daily photos and videos, to care of our cats. House was left very clean, and the cats were looking very healthy and happy on our return. We would use Melissa again, and will be highly recommending to neighbors. Thanks again, Melissa!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Atlanta. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
