“Jax is great. She is reliable and we feel at ease when she takes care of our 2 sweet doggies. She is very responsive, understands what our dogs’ needs are, and always sends pictures to check in. We are so grateful to have found her both for our overnight care and our daily drop ins when needed.”

“Julianna has been an amazing pet sitter for my dog Tommy and kitten Oreo. She is an exceptional communicator and has a very keen eye for details. I know I can travel stress free if Julianna is taking care of my loved ones. Recently, Julianna noticed Oreo wasn’t being as playful as usual, I took him to the Vet and he was very constipated. I’m beginning to think Tommy and Oreo prefer Julianna over me!”

“Solange was great- very helpful and very responsive. It was super easy to work with her, and I loved the level of care she provided my pets. I would absolutely hire Solange again to look after my pets while I'm away.”

About: ***PLEASE BE METRO/BUS ACCESSIBILE AS I DON’T OWN A CAR!*** Currently only available for drop-in visits and walks. I am a kind, warm, and thoughtful academic who recently graduated with his PhD in December 2018. I am available for dog walking or dropping in to play with your pet to show him/her/them some attention and love. I am attentive to detail and respect my client's wishes. I don't own a car so I use public transit to get around the DMV area. I am a mature, responsible adult who just loves dogs and playing with them! I grew up and have lived with dogs most of my life, from lapdogs to Golden Retrievers. I did some dog walking and dog sitting in high school. I'm currently available any time most days as long as I have at least 24-hour notice. I will come on the days and times you want as long as those are clearly communicated. I will play with your pets in the areas you tell me are appropriate to play with them. If you say any areas are off-limits, I will respect that. I make sure to keep your dogs away from any person or thing they might have a negative reaction to while walking.
“Carla is a dream come true!! She is always coming through for our cat Simon and giving us the sweetest updates and pictures. Thank you so much for putting our minds at ease while we are away ❤️”

“Mirabella did a wonderful job checking in on our cats on short notice. She kept the dishes full, cleaned the boxes, and provided photos of the ones she managed to spot. Will book again!”

“Alexandria was awesome! She is knowledgeable, compassionate and professional. She goes above and beyond expectations and is very accommodating. No question…would use her again 1000x over! She is way more than she charges💕”

“Kayla is so great with my pup! She always sends thorough walk reports & cute pics from their walks together. My work schedule is crazy & she’s gone above & beyond with being flexible with last minute changes.”

“First time using Rover so I was nervous but Kamron put me right at ease. He was friendly and listened well to my instructions. My cats warmed up to him right away and one of my cats doesn’t like strangers. His daily notes and photos were great and each day I was away I felt at ease knowing they were in good hands I would highly recommend Kamron.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better experience my first time using Rover! Debra is very responsive and reliable! Not only was she an amazing sitter for my kitten, but she very kind and wonderful person. She is extremely knowledgeable and truly has a way with animals. She is the best!”

“Cecil was great! Our three cats are trouble makers but Cecil made it so that we didn’t have to worry about them while my husband and I were on our honeymoon! Will definitely be booking with Cecil in the future (:”

About: I’ve had dogs and taken care of them since I was very young. I love all animals. And I can not wait to meet some new furry friends. I’m currently unemployed so I have plenty of time to care for your animals. I’m available to take the fur babies on walks whenever you need. I have a very friendly dog that is completely house trained. I can crate your animal, walk them, pay with them. Anything you need for them to be comfortable I can do.
“Stacie took care of our two cats with drop-in visits while we were gone for a week. I fully expected one of our cats to never be seen, but Stacie was able to interact with her every day and even got some pets and play in. This speaks to how well Stacie is with animals. She knew exactly how to handle a shy cat. And her curious sister! She even brought her own toys to play with the cats and quickly clued into the playful one’s interests. When we arrived home, our cats were very happy and didn’t seem a bit frazzled—which has happened upon our return from a week away with other sitters. I am so happy to have found Stacie and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to others. She will most definitely be our first choice for future pet sitting needs.”

“Stacy did a great job dropping in to check on our pups! She followed all of our instructions perfectly and we came home to two tired dogs, which tells me that they had a lot of fun!”

I am available every day, from walks, to staying over night, I’m your person! I do not do boarding, however, I’m more than glad to sit for your furry friend whenever you may need! I can crate your animals over night, and make sure they’re out first thing in the morning. I can slip their medication in some treats, so they can’t get out of taking them, and help your older animals with some mobility!
“Anna was amazing! The kittens loved her and she was so helpful. She even brough some packages in while I was away. She always communicated ahead of time if plans changed. Anna left sweet updates about the kittens every day and took lots of pictures. I appreciate the time she spent with my kittens and am certain they would love to see her again :)”

“Hayley was able to accommodate our very last minute booking, and she even managed to squeeze in a meet and greet with the pups beforehand. Our shy girl warmed up Hayley right away, and our high-energy girl definitely found someone to match her energy. Even though it was a short trip, Hayley took lots of photos and wrote up detailed reports. Hayley took great care of our pets while we were away and we would definitely book with her again!”

“Andre was very detailed and thorough, and he took care of our cats very well. He communicated excellently, sending detailed updates and quality pictures. His updates made us not worry about the cats, because we knew they were well cared for.”

“Ashleigh was truly the best with our cat Chet. He’s usually so slow to warm up to anyone and he warmed up to her so fast! He was his spunky self around her and she went above and beyond to take care of him. From turning on bird TV during the visits and always making sure he had his favorite treats or toy out. She even just made sure the house was clean while we’re away. Couldnt recommend more! Will absolutely be using her again and again!”

Managing drop-in visits our large number of animals is no small task, but Jax handles everything with incredible organization and care. Every pet was well looked after, and we received consistent updates that gave us total peace of mind. Highly recommend for anyone with multiple pets who needs dependable, compassionate care!

Amazing cat sitter who will go above and beyond. I have an immunocompromised cat who requires daily oral medication and Lynn has been a gem with her. She has also helped me out so much with random issues like my automatic litter box shutting off after she visited, and she came back to help reset it. Truly truly appreciate her. She also gives me great updates about my babies. Have booked with her several times and will continue to do so.

Allison dropped in on our 2 cats while we were gone for 2 weeks on our honeymoon and we had no issues at all and felt very comfortable to leave it all to her. She was very attentive to our cats and very responsive to any messages we needed to send. We would very much recommend her to anyone needing a cat drop in visit and look forward to booking with her again!

Mirabella was truly AMAZING! She watched my two cats for two weeks and I couldn’t have asked for a better caretaker. From day one, she was incredibly kind, reliable, and attentive, and she went above and beyond in every way. She provided consistent updates, photos, and detailed messages that made me feel completely at ease while I was away. It was clear she genuinely cared about my cats and treated them like her own — making sure they were comfortable, happy, and well taken care of the entire time. I came home to two very content cats and everything in perfect condition. I would 100% recommend Mirabella to anyone looking for a trustworthy, thoughtful, and responsible sitter. I will absolutely be booking with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
