“Words can't truly express how I feel about Anais. I found her at the very last minute after a bad fit with another sitter. She opened her home up to my Baxter and treated him just like he was one of her own. She gave me constant updates and pictures galore. Baxter had an amazing time at her home and was able to interact with other dogs easily. Anais is such a special person and has a God given talent for taking care of Fur Babies. I will definitely be using her again. She is a permanent fixture in our family. ?❤”

“Trinise took care of our Bravo and communicated with us with so much ease. Thank u and we really appreciate u Ms Trinise. We'll definitely recommend her and will be a repeat client ?.”

“We’ve now used Luis and Sarah for pet sitting for the second time, and once again they were absolutely wonderful. They took such great care of our dog and treated him like he was their own. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was comfortable, and happy while we were away. They’re reliable, attentive, and clearly genuinely care about the pets they watch. We wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, loving pet sitters.”

“Katie was awesome! She sent great photos and updates and it looked like Paisley was getting lots of love and attention! We also appreciated her communication and flexibility. We would definitely book again!”

About: My senior dog passed away after we shared 18 wonderful years together. I know how much your family members mean to you. I will ensure my time with them will be fun and show care and love as if they were my own. I'm retired and have plenty of time on my hands. One reason for pursuing this opportunity is to get more involved and out of the house. I currently have only my little Percy - he's strictly an indoor cat with his routine - early am feedings and lots of sleep during the day. I love to walk and enjoy having a pal to share the time outside. I do miss my dog, our daily walks are where I hold very fond memories. She loved to bring sticks home and place them in the yard. I have always enjoyed my experience with pet sitters that I've hired. Each person understood how important it is to follow instructions and established routines. I would ensure I have complete understanding of each request and treat your pet as if they were mine.
“Mark was great! I was so worried about leaving my rambunctious husky puppy while I was out of town. We usually board with her veterinarian but that wasn’t an option this time. The updates Mark sent made us feel so comfortable while away from her. Will definitely be repeat customers!”

“This is the second time that Patti has watched my baby. She is so good to her and I am so appreciative of how she keeps me updated along the way!”

“They were so awesome at first I was a little nervous because it’s my first time hiring a dog sitter but they help me feel at ease and they sent pictures and cawfee seemed happy the whole time I am extremely satisfied and will definitely be hiring them again in the future.”

“My experience with David was exceptional. My pup was instantly at home when dropping him off to David. David provided pictures and daily updates but overall was just a very pleasant host. Highly recommend.”

About: Lifelong dog lover with experience training four dogs and working at a dog park. Reliable, attentive care with plenty of play, love, and exercise. Thanks. I work from home 100% of the time. On the weekends I work at a dog park and can take dogs there for exercise. I am very flexible. Safe, loving environment with constant supervision. Experienced dog owner and dog park employee dedicated to building trust and keeping pets happy and safe. Thank you.
“Ericka is quite wonderful - she watched our frenchie Cosmo while my wife and were out of town for a long weekend. Her place is perfect for dogs and she has an awesome fenced-in back yard. She sent great updates every day with hilarious pictures and videos. She took excellent care of our little gremlin and was very mindful of his outdoor time in the heat, which we really appreciated. We highly recommend Ericka to watch anyone’s pet, and we hope she can watch Cosmo again in the future if she’ll have him (even though he’s worthless when it comes to helping out with the yard work, ha!).”

“Monica was amazing! She gave so many updates throughout Kylo’s stay and made sure he was eating well which doesn’t always happen during his stays. She played with Kylo a ton and made sure he was always comfortable. Kylo came home happy and tired from all the playtime he had. We’ll definitely be using her again to watch our fur baby.”

“Kevin was great! He was kind, professional, and always quick to reply to any messages, which gave me great peace of mind. What really stood out was how much he seemed to genuinely enjoy spending time with my cat. It never seemed like just a job to him. He let her explore his apartment, climb on his counters and even mentioned leaving his bedroom door open at night so she could choose to sleep wherever she was most comfortable. The video he sent of her making biscuits on his lap really showed how content and relaxed she was in his care. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again!”

Sarah was great! She took wonderful care of our dogs while we were away, and it was so nice knowing they were in good hands. She was easy to communicate with, dependable, and made the whole experience stress-free. We came home to happy pups! We really appreciate her and would definitely have her watch our dogs again!

Dana is hands-down one of the best dog sitters we’ve ever worked with! It is so comforting to leave town knowing our dog is in such caring, attentive, and gentle hands. Dana kept us updated throughout the stay and went above and beyond to make sure our pup felt safe, comfortable, and well-loved. We will continue to book with Dana in the future

Stormee did an amazing job watching my dog Titan this weekend! She took such great care of him and kept me updated throughout the weekend with plenty of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear Titan was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I really appreciated how responsible, communicative, and attentive Stormee was. I would definitely trust her with Titan again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Candler-McAfee home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Candler-McAfee.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Candler-McAfee sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
