“Christine goes above and beyond to make sure my cats are fed, watered, happy and healthy! She sends the best pictures and has great communication with us. We highly recommend her pet sitting services.”

“Makayla was wonderful! As I unpacked my car in Clayton, GA at my sister's B&B, I found the cat food I had bought for the cat while I was gone! At the same moment, I got a message from Makayla asking where I kept the cat food! I was able to Zelle her some $$ and she was kind enough to pick up some cat food for my girl! Above & beyond the norm!!! I'm sad that my house is a too far from hers or I'd be using her exclusively!”

“Cecil was great! Our three cats are trouble makers but Cecil made it so that we didn’t have to worry about them while my husband and I were on our honeymoon! Will definitely be booking with Cecil in the future (:”

“Finding someone my dogs are comfortable with can be extremely stressful. My fur kids took right to Solange and that was very comforting. She is professional and nice to work with. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again to watch my doggies.”

“Jax is great. She is reliable and we feel at ease when she takes care of our 2 sweet doggies. She is very responsive, understands what our dogs’ needs are, and always sends pictures to check in. We are so grateful to have found her both for our overnight care and our daily drop ins when needed.”

About: I love animals and I treat them all as If they were mine. I've always been the pet sitter when friends and fam go out of town. I also have 5 cats of my own 3 inside 2 outside. My schedule is very open and available to take care of your pets. I am also available for the weekends and available for overnight stays as well. I spend time with the pets giving them love and attention. Taking them out for walks if needed and also just following whatever instructions the pet owner gives to ensure Everything the pet needs is taken care of.
“Brittany is the best cat sitter I’ve ever had! My cat is hard to please and he LOVED her. She provides PLENTY of pictures which is exactly what a fur momma wants when away. I could not recommend Brittany more!!!”

“Danelle has been fabulous. We are first time rover users and will be doing it again after our experience! So attentive and wonderful to our girls :)”

“Re-writing this review because the previous one got cut short. Rachel has been great with my shy and jittery Chihuahuhua. She has been very patient and has worked to gain his trust. She’s also very easy to communicate with, flexible and proactive to schedule walks.”

“First time using Rover so I was nervous but Kamron put me right at ease. He was friendly and listened well to my instructions. My cats warmed up to him right away and one of my cats doesn’t like strangers. His daily notes and photos were great and each day I was away I felt at ease knowing they were in good hands I would highly recommend Kamron.”

“Audrey is great to my dog Luna. She always gives me updates and is super trustworthy and reliable. She is the first person I text when I need a sitter”

About: I am a wildlife biologist for the Georgia DNR working for the Urban Wildlife Program. I have years of experience dog-sitting, primarily for large- and medium-sized dogs in the Chicago area. My work schedule is very flexible, allowing me to take my time to care for your critters! A large part of my job is responding to wildlife emergencies using years of experience and best-judgment decision making, which makes for a great pet-sitter. I am a wildlife biologist that works from home in Decatur. My workload is quite low so it is easy to fit pet care into my schedule throughout the week. My flexible schedule affords me ample time to provide proper attention to animals. I have a calm demeanor with strong attention to detail when it comes to care instruction. My experience as a wildlife biologist has trained me how to monitor animals for emergencies and how to be calm in the face of the unknown or unexpected. I am used to following strict research protocol, so following along for the care of your animal will be a breeze.
“Kinsey was wonderful with my two dogs during her drop-in visit. One of my dogs is very shy and apprehensive around new people, but Kinsey was incredibly patient and took extra time to help her feel comfortable and safe. I really appreciated how attentive and understanding she was. I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in her care, and I will definitely be booking with Kinsey again.”

“Hayley was able to accommodate our very last minute booking, and she even managed to squeeze in a meet and greet with the pups beforehand. Our shy girl warmed up Hayley right away, and our high-energy girl definitely found someone to match her energy. Even though it was a short trip, Hayley took lots of photos and wrote up detailed reports. Hayley took great care of our pets while we were away and we would definitely book with her again!”

About: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the past 9 years, I've cared for dogs of every size, age, and personality: puppies, seniors, high-energy large breeds, and anxious pups who need patience and consistency. I'm a dog mom to a 10-year-old Lab-mix and an active foster, so rescue organizations have trusted me to care for dogs in transition who need extra structure and love. I also regularly walk and exercise dogs for friends, which means I'm used to earning trust quickly with new pups and their people. My own dog, Nala, struggles with severe separation anxiety and high mental stimulation needs. Caring for her has sharpened my observation of dogs. I pick up on the small things: a slight limp, a head shake, a change in breathing. I document what I notice and share it with owners so they stay informed. I follow every dog's lead and adjust to what they need that day. I'm available most days and times and happy to work around your routine. Pet care is my focus, and I show up consistently. Just let me know what works best for you! Between fostering, walking friends' dogs, and raising Nala, I've built real hands-on experience with dogs across a wide range of needs and temperaments. My home has a yard for outside time (unfenced), and I stay fully present during every visit and walk. I communicate with owners however they prefer: photos, texts, or a full recap after each visit.
About: I’ve had a love and passion for not only animals, but helping people since I was a kid. So, why not combine both passions into one? Hi! I’m Megan, and I want to help you with all of your furry (and possibly non-furry) needs. I offer services such as medication management, training in simple commands, senior care and more. I have pretty open availability, so whenever you need care for your pet, I am just a message away! I work part-time early in the mornings, so I have plenty of time for your animals! I am available every day, from walks, to staying over night, I’m your person! I do not do boarding, however, I’m more than glad to sit for your furry friend whenever you may need! I can crate your animals over night, and make sure they’re out first thing in the morning. I can slip their medication in some treats, so they can’t get out of taking them, and help your older animals with some mobility!
“Kayla is incredible! She leaves the most detailed notes and photos out of anyone I’ve ever used with Rover. She is extremely responsive to messages and truly cares about my dog’s wellbeing. I am completely at ease traveling knowing Kayla’s watching my babies!”

“Trang is amazing! She’s been doing recurring in-home visits for my pup for the past few weeks and I have nothing but great things to say. I can tell she loves my pup just as much as I do. Trang is very flexible and accommodating for visits, and I know my pup gets so happy when she stops by. 100% recommend.”

About: I’ve had dogs and taken care of them since I was very young. I love all animals. And I can not wait to meet some new furry friends. I’m currently unemployed so I have plenty of time to care for your animals. I’m available to take the fur babies on walks whenever you need. I have a very friendly dog that is completely house trained. I can crate your animal, walk them, pay with them. Anything you need for them to be comfortable I can do.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Gresham Park
I had a wonderful experience with Kinsey H! I needed a last-minute check-in for my cats and she responded almost immediately and was able to start the visit within 30 minutes. She fed my cats, refreshed their water, cleaned up their litter area, and spent time playing with them. She was also very communicative and honest. Most importantly, she gave me tremendous peace of mind while I was away. My cats were well cared for, and I could tell she genuinely took the time to make sure they were comfortable. I will absolutely be booking with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter.

Ashleigh was truly the best with our cat Chet. He’s usually so slow to warm up to anyone and he warmed up to her so fast! He was his spunky self around her and she went above and beyond to take care of him. From turning on bird TV during the visits and always making sure he had his favorite treats or toy out. She even just made sure the house was clean while we’re away. Couldnt recommend more! Will absolutely be using her again and again!

Managing drop-in visits our large number of animals is no small task, but Jax handles everything with incredible organization and care. Every pet was well looked after, and we received consistent updates that gave us total peace of mind. Highly recommend for anyone with multiple pets who needs dependable, compassionate care!

Mirabella was truly AMAZING! She watched my two cats for two weeks and I couldn’t have asked for a better caretaker. From day one, she was incredibly kind, reliable, and attentive, and she went above and beyond in every way. She provided consistent updates, photos, and detailed messages that made me feel completely at ease while I was away. It was clear she genuinely cared about my cats and treated them like her own — making sure they were comfortable, happy, and well taken care of the entire time. I came home to two very content cats and everything in perfect condition. I would 100% recommend Mirabella to anyone looking for a trustworthy, thoughtful, and responsible sitter. I will absolutely be booking with her again!

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
