About: Animal care has always been second hand nature to me. I have had dogs as little as a snow white Maltese Puddle and a brown and black yorkie to something as big a red nose Pitbull and a German Sheperd Pharaoh Hound mix. I have 4 years of on the job animal care experience from when I was employed with Cobb County Police Department (Animal Control Unit) and an abundance of personal experience. Currently I work as a Security Enforcement Agent and have been thinking about animal care again. I hope to be able to be able to assist you and your animal soon. Currently I work fulltime as a Security Enforcement Agent and would like to get into animal care again without leaving my current job fully. I am technically a contractor so adjusting and or changes to my schedules are normal for me and won't be hard to do. The way I care for my dog is probably not gonna be the same for you. But my dog sleeps with me, is allowed on the couch and usually gets multiple walks on my off days and longer walks on work days. I let her free feed, one scoop in the morning that she is free to snack on throughout the day. If its finished before 5/6pm she gets a half scoop. I also give her daily vitamins, dental bones and treats. Lots of love and spoiling. But when it comes to in the clients home there rules for the pet(s) are my rules for the pet(s)

About: Hello and welcome! I'm Heather, but I go by Xel (pronounced •zel•) and it's nice to meet you! I have owned more dogs and cats (as well as a ferret, lizard, fish, and a spider and have handled various others) than I can count through the years (I'm almost 40 and we've had a LOT!). Everything from domestic shorthair to Bengal-mix and Schnauzers to German Shepherds. I have house-sat for both friends and family for many years (short and extended!) and I have administered medicine in pill form, as well as inhaler (would be willing to learn injections if necessary). Our oldest cats have lived 18 years, and I currently own four cats (all rescues, aged 2 to 16). Our oldest dogs have lived 15+ I believe, but it's been a long time since owning one (my parents are disabled). I have done a bit of training with dogs and cats alike, but I am not a professional. I'm HIGHLY flexible, so if you would like to know more, feel free to reach out! If you've made it this far, have a lovely day! ♡ I'm available at a moments' notice the majority of the time! This includes overnights, emergencies, and short/extended stays. As long as there is clear communication, I'll do my best to aid in any situation, even if it's within the hour! ♡ For our own cats, our oldest, Max, has to be fed separately from the others, as he needs a higher calorie diet than the others. All of the cats are treated with flea medication and I clean multiple litter boxes several times a week. For friends and family, I have had feeding schedules for both dogs and cats, ranging from custom mixed and weighed portions to simply making sure the auto-feeders/fountains are kept clean and filled. My best friend's dog gets playtime and outside time (he has a runner and a ton of toys to play fetch with). My Aunt's cat would need constant watch, as he needed an inhaler if he walked too far or his anxiety flared. I'm also open to doing light chores, so feel free to reach out with any and all questions! “I can’t begin to tell you how pleased I am with Megan! She took care of my super shy cat for 3+ days and he felt right at home with her! Where he would typically hide under beds, he was letting her give him belly rubs and eating/sleeping well. I usually feel anxious and guilty all the time on our short vacations, worrying about him feeling stressed. This time was different ; the videos she sent told me he was doing great! “My 14-year-old dog, Kobe, has Cushing’s disease and needs medication twice a day, along with a little extra care and attention. Maximo seemed very comfortable administering Kobe’s medication and caring for him during my six days away. He kept in touch throughout the stay and was always available to answer my questions, which gave me peace of mind. It’s clear that Maximo takes his responsibilities seriously, and I’m grateful for the care he gave Kobe. I plan to ask him to keep Kobe again in October!”

“Estefania was WONDERFUL with our dogs. She spoiled them rotten with lots of outside time and walks. They came home exhausted and happy. She was also very patient with our dogs. Our husky, Amos was showing signs of food aggression and she worked with him. Our Australian Shepherd Oslo is shy, timid, and can be leash reactive. She gave him space and time to warm up to her. Now she’s his favorite human. My husband and I have never left our dogs for longer than a day or two, so leaving our dogs with anyone makes us very nervous. Estefania gave us peace of mind while we were out of the country. I cannot thank Estefania enough and will definitely rebook with her every time we go out of town!!”
“I had never used Rover until this time. A friend suggested it to me and when I looked into it, I was overwhelmed with the amount of people that do this. I read reviews, and Amanda seemed to stand out to me. I contacted her and we did a meet and greet. I knew that my fur baby would be well taken care of. While we were on our trip, Amanda sent me numerous pictures and videos and it was obvious that my dog was having a great time. Amanda treated her like her own, which gave me tremendous relief while being on vacation. I can not express enough gratitude for her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter, although she is much more than that!
