“I have no doubt Barbara goes above and beyond taking care of my dog and home. I have great piece of mind leaving my pets in her care, and for an anxious clingy dog, she is very content and comfortable in Barbara’s care.”

“Cindy was a great sitter for Tippy! He is a very anxious dog. She was patient with him and waited until he came to her. She worked with him to get him to eat while I was gone. I highly recommend Cindy! She worked with me when I had to leave a day early. She came in and took care of things.”

“Ana was great! She took the time to keep me updated with pictures of my dog, Gemma, throughout her stay. She also made sure to respect my space. The house was spotless when I returned home from my trip. I will definitely book Ana again in the future!”

“This was my first time using Rover for a sitter (versus a boarding-like facility), and I have to say that Susan was wonderful. With never using a sitter before, I was a little nervous about leaving my boys with just anyone, but Susan proved to be great with them! She sent me numerous updates with pictures of my pups and updates of my home (she stayed at my house) while I was away. I would definitely recommend her and will definitely be using her services again. Thanks so much, Susan, for everything!”
“Lauren is a wonderful communicator and even helped my friends coordinate daytrips with Scruffy during my two-week trip. When Scruffy ran into some anxiety issues from the prolonged time away from me, she proactively sourced some meds to alleviate his stress. The house and my plants were well cared for, I heartily recommend Lauren!”

“Just got back to a lovely clean home and happy dog! First time we have used Rover and Lauren was very good with communication and photos everything went very smoothly and I would definitely book Laren to sit my dog again”
“Carolina stayed with Maggie for a week while we were in Portugal. Besides being very sweet and accommodating, she went above and beyond just watching Maggie. She got the mail, watered the flowers outside, checked the skimmer baskets in the pool for us, dealt with contractors who were working on the pool and yard, dealt with Comcast because the contractors cut the internet line and washed and changed the sheets. The house was left exactly as it was when we left. Best of all Maggie, who doesn't like strangers to touch her, warmed up to Carolina like we have never seen before. We received pictures and videos of Maggie playing with her toys with Carolina and letting her give her belly rubs like she does only with family! Carolina was our second sitter because we were gone for 2 weeks and couldn't find anyone available for the whole time, so she met with the first sitter who went over everything with her before she left. We would definitely book Carolina again and now we feel more comfortable leaving Maggie, when before it was very much a challenge and other options hadn't gone well (drop ins, staying at other people's houses). Most of all Maggie would love to see her again! She's a dog whisperer!”

“I 100% recommend Alex! This was my very first time using a dog sitter, and I was pretty anxious since I’d never been apart from my two fur babies before. From the start, Alex put me at ease—he even came over for a meet and greet before I booked, which showed me how caring and professional he is. I booked him on the spot. While I was away, Alex did an amazing job keeping me updated every single day with messages, pictures, and videos of what the dogs were up to. Seeing how happy, loved, and spoiled they were made it so much easier for me to relax and truly enjoy my trip. On top of being wonderful with my pups, Alex was also a respectful and tidy house guest, which I greatly appreciated. He went above and beyond in every way, and I came home to happy dogs and a clean home. If you’re looking for someone reliable, kind, and genuinely great with animals, Alex is absolutely the sitter you want. He treated my fur babies like family. I will 100% be booking him again!”

“Jasmine was incredible! Kept me well informed about what was going on with Baxter. Spent lots of time outside with him. I could tell he had a great time with Jasmine! Will definitely use Jasmine again in the future to house & dog sit.”

“Ethel was great with our little dog, Louie. We were passing through town on vacation and she came and sat with Louie so we could go to a Braves baseball game. I highly recommend Ethel and would certainly use her again next time we’re in the NW Atlanta area. Thanks Ethel!”

“Addison did a great job with our three dogs! She stayed at our house and took care of them for 6 nights. She made sure our older dog took his meds and took our younger dogs for walks daily to provide them with the exercise they're used to. She also left the house in good shape.”

About: With over 20 years of hands on experience, with my own animals and sitting for the neighbors and friends, I have cared for pets of all ages -from puppies and kittens to sweet senior companions needing extra patienceand attention. I also have watched hamsters and guinea pigs. I understand every pet has unique needs, whether it's admistering medication, supporting senior mobilities or the 5 am zoomies. Your pets are my pets and I treat them like family. I am currently working from home so I am here and walks are a great break from the desk. Belly rubs included! Lots of spots for naps and people watching through the windows. There is a lot of paths around my neighborhood for walks. Caring for a pet in clients home definitely includes a walk and plenty of play for the dogs and all my kitties get pets and play too.
“After loosing our loyal pet sitter, we tried a few others but weren’t 100% happy until we met Kylie. She’s professional, friendly and fantastic with our pups. She kept us updated and sent regular pics. I’ll highly recommend Kylie.”

“Mikiyah was great. She was very attentive to my pups. My boxer is usually very anxious when I leave so much so that he won’t eat, but we did not have that problem at all while he was with Mikiyah. My Frenchie got lots of cuddle time. Mikiyah sent lots of pictures and updates and I would 100% book her again.”

Kaylan was fantastic house sitting and watching over my 2 dogs and 2 cats. She took great care of my energetic dogs and followed all my pet instructions. I appreciated the daily updates and photos. And my house was tidy on my return. Definitely will be using Kaylan again!

Hope was amazing with our dogs (+cat)! They absolutely adored her, and she treated them exactly as if they were her very own fur-babies. When I came home, it was like my dogs didn’t even know I was gone…and my home was in better shape than I had left it! She went above and beyond anything we could have expected, and I absolutely recommend Hope if you want the BEST care for your animals and complete peace of mind.

Marija was great as a sitter for our 3 animals, and that she was enabling the animals to be in their own home, made it so much better than in a strange place. When Peaches got so frightened by the loud firecrackers, Marija knew just how to handle it and helped Peaches to be comforted. We hope Marija will be available the next time we need a sitter , because she is the best!
John did such a wonderful job at our home watching our sweet cat Maxine! He stayed with her for two weeks while we were away. He took care of her every evening and watched over our home as well. He took great care with both. Thank you so much, John. We appreciate all you did and will use you every time. We travel from here on out!

This was our first time using Rover and I was very nervous about it. Elizabeth took good care of all our animals and sent photos and updates on all of our fur babies daily. Upon our return, our house was left in neat condition, and all our animals were content and happy.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Marietta walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Marietta maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Marietta choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Marietta. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
