About: I grew up around multiple dog breeds in my childhood home which taught me how to read body language, learn different personalities, and develop a passion for animals of all shapes and sizes! My love for my childhood pets followed me after High School, where I worked at and managed a local pet supply store. I received my grooming certificate there as well as experience in puppy training. After owning different dog breeds, I’ve now found myself caring for a senior dog and various pets of my own! My experience with animals doesn’t stop at dogs, I also own 2 birds, 3 cats, and 2 different species of lizards! My neighborhood has feral cats that I feed and administer medications to if needed. With 7 pets, my daily care routine is very much hands on. The senior dog that I watch needs diaper changes as well as multiple walks throughout the day, since he is unable to use a backyard space after going blind. My cats get multiple meals a day, daily litter box scooping, and play time. Daily water and food twice a day keeps me busy with 2 birds. My 2 lizards need frequent misting, food every other day (including freshly chopped fruits and vegetables) and weekly cage cleaning. Our feral cats outside get food twice a day, and fresh water as well. The senior dog that I care for needs a lot of gentle efforts, like diaper changes and medication administered daily as needed. If necessary, I am capable of handling a sick or elderly pet that needs treatment provided in a comfortable and safe manner. Dog crates are no problem, as well as harnesses or gentle leaders. During dog walks, I usually change direction if another dog is coming, just in case the other pet isn’t friendly. Water breaks in hot weather are important, so I keep a convertible silicone dog bowl with me for water during a longer walk. If you provide a dog or cat toy, I can bring that along as well on walks and stop for a play break or visit the local dog park.
“Sara is communicative, responsive and punctual! She plays with my kittens and pay attention to what they need. I’m grateful for her and highly recommend her to anyone that need help with their pets while away from home”

“Barbara is our go to for our cats when we are out of town. She always sends lots of pictures and we can always tell our cats are having a good time and are well taken care of.”

“Forrest was great! He made an initial visit to my house with me present so that my dogs would get acclimated to him, which I appreciated. He was very communicative about when he would be arriving for the scheduled visits and was timely. He always provided multiple pictures of my pups during each visit. I definitely recommend Forrest and will likely hire him again for whenever we need my dogs sitted!”

“Tanya is amazing!! I had to go out of town last minute and have a 6 month old kitten at home. She was the best and jumped in to help me out and accommodate my needs. The daily photos helped with the anxiety of leaving my new kitty and the baby appreciated the daily check ins and play time. Highly recommend Tanya for your pet sitter needs. Definitely will call on her anytime we need a pet sitter.”

“Kaitlyn did a great job. Followed all my instructions and took great photos. She went the extra mile to make sure the kitties I feed were taken care of while I was away.”

“Bryce was awesome! Not only did he check on the kitties but he also shared concern about the house temperature and made sure that our back door was locked. And our most shy kitty loves him. :)”

“This was our first time trying the Rover app & Alexi was amazing!! She watched our kitties for the 4th of July and sent us adorable pictures of our pets and even got a paw print painting from our kitten!🥰 We couldn't be happier with how awesome Alexi was! She will definitely be our go to if we need a Rover in the future!”

“Venie was very communicative and even came over to meet my cat, Julian before we went out of town. And she was sweet to Julian as well. I really appreciated it! Would use her again!”
“Kati was a life saver! Our normal sitter had to cancel last minute and Kati came to the rescue. She looked after our two cats while we were gone and did an amazing job. Her communication was great. We would not hesitate to have Kati watch our cats in the future. Thank you Kati!”

“Connor did an excellent job dropping in on our Big puppy for a week. He sent ample pics and videos and kept us very informed. I highly recommend him and will use his services again!”

About: I love both cats and dogs! I have a history of Dog sitting and cat watching for neighbors when I was growing up. My dog Sailor lived 15 years and passed away a few years ago and I miss taking care of him, now I have two cats named Juliette and Saheb. I am an ICU Nurse by profession but my desire to help others extends to 4 legged furry creatures as well! Also as a Rover customer I appreciate the comfort and reassurance having someone check in on your fur babies, so that’s why I’m here for you! I work 3 days a week but have time for visits after work on those days, other days I am free mostly the entire day. Contact me for current schedule details I am flexible! For dogs, I keep them on a leash when going outside at all times, I like to go for walks or runs depending on their energy needs. I keep a positive and fun attitude but I know how to handle energetic or larger dogs. I usually do a general check around the house to see if any accidents or throwups have occurred. I love to play and reward with treats after, if permissible. I also always refill their food and refresh water. For cats I do all the basics; refill food and refresh water, change litter box, playful interaction and treats (if allowed). I can give animals most medications just ask!
“Brooke was so easy to work with and sweet with my pet. She was also very communicative and left me with a detailed description of her visit with my cat and photos. We will definitely use her again!”

About: I am originally from England and now live in Marietta ! My family have always been animal lovers and I was fortunate enough to have a variety of animals growing up from dogs, cats, birds and gerbils! I currently have two cats and regularly dog sit and walk for my father-in-law who has a German Shepherd mix and an American bulldog mix! My partner is also animal crazy and was brought up basically on a farm with more animals then could ever be imagined from dogs to deers to goats. I have also helped out at dog sanctuaries in Greece and enjoy just being around animals. If you have any questions please feel free to message! I've recently just moved to the US so I have plenty of free time while I settle and I don't think there is any better way to settle in than with some animals! I have 3 dog-friendly indoor cats that mind their own business. I have a great dog park near my home I enjoy going on long walks and hikes too if your dog enjoys that! I have a crate if that is required for your pet
“Sarah was fabulous! This was my first time using Rover so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but she surpassed anything that I would have hoped for. I loved the pics and updates on her visits! Will definitely be using her services again”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Growing up, I was the go to pet sitter for family and friends, and I’ve had plenty of hands on experience with everything from walks and feedings to playtime, baths, and giving pets the attention they deserve. My goal is to make both you and your furry friend feel completely comfortable and confident in my care. I understand how much your pet means to you they’re family and I treat them with the same love, patience, and respect. Whatever your pet’s needs are, I’m always willing to go above and beyond to make sure they’re happy, safe, and well taken care of. Whether it's sticking to a specific routine, following special instructions, or just giving extra snuggles, I’m here for it all! Currently I am working part time so I have more than enough time to keep them company & have some fun go for walks and give them the best cuddles ! Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, my top priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for just like they would with you. If your pet is staying with me, I’ll do everything I can to create a calm, cozy environment that matches their routine and needs. I always follow any specific instructions you leave feeding schedules, walks, medications, or quirks that make your pet unique. If I’m in your home, I’ll treat it with the utmost respect and keep your pet’s routine as familiar as possible. I take safety seriously and never leave pets unattended in unfamiliar situations. And of course, you’ll receive plenty of updates, including photos and videos, so you can feel at ease while you’re away. I want you to know your pet is not only in good hands but also having a great time! Side note: please please be very clear in your instructions and say exactly what you’d like and how you’d like me to take care of your fur babies it’s sooo helpful for me. Thank you!
“Needed kitty sitters for the first time and Cara and Matt were amazing. Adhering to the cats feeding schedule, giving extra pets and brushes- the cats were definitely happy when I got back home. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
