“Tanya was amazing and very thorough! She made sure my fur baby was comfortable and taken care of while I was gone. She was also very accommodating when my trip got cut short and i ended up coming home earlier than expected. I would definitely choose her to take care of my pet again!”

“She is amazing! Thank you so much Cindy! Took care of my kitty so well. She kept me updated, sending me so many pictures. Cindy is professional and always on time. Highly recommend 👍🏻🤍”

“Kaitlyn did an amazing job taking care of our cat, dog, and bunny! She gave us such a peace of mind while we were on our trip! She texted detailed reports, pics, and updates! We will definitely be using her in the future! I can tell she truly cares for our animals and is knowledgeable when it comes to animal care!”

“Bryce went above and beyond in every way, I have nothing else, but good things to say about his work. He communicated well and made sure to inform me if something happened. I came home to a happy and healthy cat 10 out of 10 would recommend.”

About: I grew up around multiple dog breeds in my childhood home which taught me how to read body language, learn different personalities, and develop a passion for animals of all shapes and sizes! My love for my childhood pets followed me after High School, where I worked at and managed a local pet supply store. I received my grooming certificate there as well as experience in puppy training. After owning different dog breeds, I’ve now found myself caring for a senior dog and various pets of my own! My experience with animals doesn’t stop at dogs, I also own 2 birds, 3 cats, and 2 different species of lizards! My neighborhood has feral cats that I feed and administer medications to if needed. With 7 pets, my daily care routine is very much hands on. The senior dog that I watch needs diaper changes as well as multiple walks throughout the day, since he is unable to use a backyard space after going blind. My cats get multiple meals a day, daily litter box scooping, and play time. Daily water and food twice a day keeps me busy with 2 birds. My 2 lizards need frequent misting, food every other day (including freshly chopped fruits and vegetables) and weekly cage cleaning. Our feral cats outside get food twice a day, and fresh water as well. The senior dog that I care for needs a lot of gentle efforts, like diaper changes and medication administered daily as needed. If necessary, I am capable of handling a sick or elderly pet that needs treatment provided in a comfortable and safe manner. Dog crates are no problem, as well as harnesses or gentle leaders. During dog walks, I usually change direction if another dog is coming, just in case the other pet isn’t friendly. Water breaks in hot weather are important, so I keep a convertible silicone dog bowl with me for water during a longer walk. If you provide a dog or cat toy, I can bring that along as well on walks and stop for a play break or visit the local dog park.
“We had a great experience with Shelby and are so glad to have come across her on Rover! Shelby was kind, responsible, punctual and communicated well in meeting and setting up our appointment in advance. Above all she was friendly, caring and calm with our beloved Cavachon. She made stops to feed and walk her while we had a long day trip. It was such peace of mind to know our dog was in good hands! We hope to have her again soon.”

“Great experience, Amanda truly cares for animals and it shows. She did an amazing job and the communication could not have been better. Highly recommend and will use again!”
“Great communication and tried very hard to get our stubborn puppy to go outside even offering her some dog treats. She is clearly experienced. We will use her again.”

“Absolutely amazing, my dog is a rescue dog and I am always unsure as to how he is going to react with others. He love Rachel from the very first day. She is such a caring person. Thank you.”

“I would highly recommend Bryanna and Zachary to anyone for pet care services! They do a wonderful job taking care of my cat Willa and always send enthusiastic, detailed written reports with lots of photos of how the visit went. I travel frequently and often on short notice for work, and have booked with Bryanna & Zachary multiple times. They are the first people I reach out to to check on Willa because of how flexible and responsive they are, and because I know Willa will be in great hands with them. Thanks to you both!”

“Michael is great! He has been coming over and walking my dogs for over a year now. Great communication. My dogs are happy! I have a fenced in back yard, and my dogs wouldn’t use the restroom because it was raining. Michael took my dogs on a walk just so they could use the restroom.”

“We had an absolutely amazing experience with Jennifer this past week! She took incredible care of both our dog, Cinder, and our house while we were away. She was extremely responsive and kept us updated the entire time, which gave us complete peace of mind. Jennifer truly provided tender loving care, and we couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. We would highly recommend her to anybody looking for top-notch care for their furry family members!”

“Sara is communicative, responsive and punctual! She plays with my kittens and pay attention to what they need. I’m grateful for her and highly recommend her to anyone that need help with their pets while away from home”

About: I am a stay at home mom with my 9 year old daughter and 13 year old son. I began grooming when I was 22. After a couple of years I started my own grooming salon. I also did pet sitting and boarding for many of my clients. When my son was born ten years later I sold my grooming business to devote more time to him. Now that my children are older I would love to allow them the opportunity to help me in the business of caring for your dog. After the loss of our dog, my children and I look forward to giving your dog lots of love and attention. We hope you will love us as much as we love animals! We also offer Drop offs as early as 7am and pick up as late as 9pm. I am a stay at home mom. My husband works from home and my son and daughter are home schooled. So someone is always home! I have a fenced yard, doggy door and plenty of space for running and playing! We are an easy laid back family and love to have pet visitors
“Olivia was amazing! She took such good care of our pups. She understood their personalities perfectly and made it easy for us to get enjoy our trip. I would not hesitate to have her dog sit for us again.”

“Forrest was great! He made an initial visit to my house with me present so that my dogs would get acclimated to him, which I appreciated. He was very communicative about when he would be arriving for the scheduled visits and was timely. He always provided multiple pictures of my pups during each visit. I definitely recommend Forrest and will likely hire him again for whenever we need my dogs sitted!”

“Tamera was great!! I love her willingness to be flexible during unexpected scheduling changes. She’s very great at communicating and sending cute pictures. Would love to have her care for my fur baby any time.”

“Simply put…Sara is amazing. She is kind, detailed, reliable, trustworthy and an excellent communicator! She spent a considerable amount of time caring for our puppy. I would recommend 100 out of 100 times! She’s the first person we will reach out to when we next go out of town. If you want someone who goes above and beyond, then Sara should be your first choice!!!!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
