“Cindy was awesome, we were anxious leaving our elderly pup with someone new and she made the process so easy start to finish. She sent wonderful photos multiple times a day to let us know Faith was doing well and we felt at ease on our trip knowing our pup was getting good care!”

About: I grew up around multiple dog breeds in my childhood home which taught me how to read body language, learn different personalities, and develop a passion for animals of all shapes and sizes! My love for my childhood pets followed me after High School, where I worked at and managed a local pet supply store. I received my grooming certificate there as well as experience in puppy training. After owning different dog breeds, I’ve now found myself caring for a senior dog and various pets of my own! My experience with animals doesn’t stop at dogs, I also own 2 birds, 3 cats, and 2 different species of lizards! My neighborhood has feral cats that I feed and administer medications to if needed. With 7 pets, my daily care routine is very much hands on. The senior dog that I watch needs diaper changes as well as multiple walks throughout the day, since he is unable to use a backyard space after going blind. My cats get multiple meals a day, daily litter box scooping, and play time. Daily water and food twice a day keeps me busy with 2 birds. My 2 lizards need frequent misting, food every other day (including freshly chopped fruits and vegetables) and weekly cage cleaning. Our feral cats outside get food twice a day, and fresh water as well. The senior dog that I care for needs a lot of gentle efforts, like diaper changes and medication administered daily as needed. If necessary, I am capable of handling a sick or elderly pet that needs treatment provided in a comfortable and safe manner. Dog crates are no problem, as well as harnesses or gentle leaders. During dog walks, I usually change direction if another dog is coming, just in case the other pet isn’t friendly. Water breaks in hot weather are important, so I keep a convertible silicone dog bowl with me for water during a longer walk. If you provide a dog or cat toy, I can bring that along as well on walks and stop for a play break or visit the local dog park.
“We had a great experience with Shelby and are so glad to have come across her on Rover! Shelby was kind, responsible, punctual and communicated well in meeting and setting up our appointment in advance. Above all she was friendly, caring and calm with our beloved Cavachon. She made stops to feed and walk her while we had a long day trip. It was such peace of mind to know our dog was in good hands! We hope to have her again soon.”

“I had absolutely no worries when Amanda was launching my babies. Truly appreciate her going above and beyond by even grabbing a package and making sure that the place was clean from the accidents that may have occurred while I was gone. Thanks so much, Amanda you’re the best!”

“Kaitlyn was great with my kitties! My family and I left town for about a week for a vaca and she took great care of them and spent time loving on them.”

“Absolutely amazing, my dog is a rescue dog and I am always unsure as to how he is going to react with others. He love Rachel from the very first day. She is such a caring person. Thank you.”

“We had an absolutely amazing experience with Jennifer this past week! She took incredible care of both our dog, Cinder, and our house while we were away. She was extremely responsive and kept us updated the entire time, which gave us complete peace of mind. Jennifer truly provided tender loving care, and we couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. We would highly recommend her to anybody looking for top-notch care for their furry family members!”

“Great communication and tried very hard to get our stubborn puppy to go outside even offering her some dog treats. She is clearly experienced. We will use her again.”

“Alexandra is totally awsesome! We were so nervous leaving our two babies for a couple of days but Alexandra went above and beyond to make sure they were excellently taken care of. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely use again!”

About: Hello and welcome! I'm Heather, but I go by Xel (pronounced •zel•) and it's nice to meet you! I have owned more dogs and cats (as well as a ferret, lizard, fish, and a spider and have handled various others) than I can count through the years (I'm almost 40 and we've had a LOT!). Everything from domestic shorthair to Bengal-mix and Schnauzers to German Shepherds. I have house-sat for both friends and family for many years (short and extended!) and I have administered medicine in pill form, as well as inhaler (would be willing to learn injections if necessary). Our oldest cats have lived 18 years, and I currently own four cats (all rescues, aged 2 to 16). Our oldest dogs have lived 15+ I believe, but it's been a long time since owning one (my parents are disabled). I have done a bit of training with dogs and cats alike, but I am not a professional. I'm HIGHLY flexible, so if you would like to know more, feel free to reach out! If you've made it this far, have a lovely day! ♡ I'm available at a moments' notice the majority of the time! This includes overnights, emergencies, and short/extended stays. As long as there is clear communication, I'll do my best to aid in any situation, even if it's within the hour! ♡ For our own cats, our oldest, Max, has to be fed separately from the others, as he needs a higher calorie diet than the others. All of the cats are treated with flea medication and I clean multiple litter boxes several times a week. For friends and family, I have had feeding schedules for both dogs and cats, ranging from custom mixed and weighed portions to simply making sure the auto-feeders/fountains are kept clean and filled. My best friend's dog gets playtime and outside time (he has a runner and a ton of toys to play fetch with). My Aunt's cat would need constant watch, as he needed an inhaler if he walked too far or his anxiety flared. I'm also open to doing light chores, so feel free to reach out with any and all questions! Thank you for your consideration! ♡

About: I’ve grown up around several types of pets, from dogs and cats to rats. My sister works in a vet office and I myself own two cats, two chihuahuas and a hound dog. I have previous dog sitting experience from family. I’m currently working a full time job, but can plan around it to care for pets if given enough notice. I love animals and happily help them out. I can’t take pets into my own home due to having a reactive dog myself, but I can care for them in a client’s home! I feel comfortable providing basic medical needs such as ointments and bandaids and have experience trimming claws if needed as well.

“Michael did drop in visits for my baby. He was very professional. My baby likes him very much. Michael was very communicative, and I made a mistake on the address and sent him to the wrong one but he was very understanding. Would definitely recommend and use for future dates. Thank you !!”
“Bryce was great, he sent pictures and videos of my dog Rex while I was away. He was so great with Rex, did more than I could have even asked!! Will definitely work with Bryce again in the future!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of our sweet Milo. He was always in such good hands and you always made sure to keep us informed of him. Thank you for being so dependable”

About: I am a stay at home mom with my 9 year old daughter and 13 year old son. I began grooming when I was 22. After a couple of years I started my own grooming salon. I also did pet sitting and boarding for many of my clients. When my son was born ten years later I sold my grooming business to devote more time to him. Now that my children are older I would love to allow them the opportunity to help me in the business of caring for your dog. After the loss of our dog, my children and I look forward to giving your dog lots of love and attention. We hope you will love us as much as we love animals! We also offer Drop offs as early as 7am and pick up as late as 9pm. I am a stay at home mom. My husband works from home and my son and daughter are home schooled. So someone is always home! I have a fenced yard, doggy door and plenty of space for running and playing! We are an easy laid back family and love to have pet visitors
About: Hello! I’m Stephen and I love animals. I’ve always been good with them and for the most part have always liked me! I just moved down here not too long ago. I’m an actor who is serving currently. Working a lot, but I have a flexible schedule. I would love to watch over your pets! Thank you for your consideration. I work 5 days a week, but it’s a flexible restaurant job so I will be able to stay the night and maybe come back in between shifts, and come back when my work day is over. I have off typically sundays or tuesdays, almost always on mondays but can change that with notice! I’ll treat your place with respect, and take care of your pets to the best of my abilities. I live in an apartment, and I have a small. backyard. So I can take the pets to my place if need be!
“Sarah was fabulous! This was my first time using Rover so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but she surpassed anything that I would have hoped for. I loved the pics and updates on her visits! Will definitely be using her services again”

“This was our second time having Brianna and Zachary watch our kitty Shadow and once again, they did an amazing job. The updates and photos are so thoughtful and really set our mind at ease knowing she’s being well looked after. We highly recommend them for in-home drop-ins.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wynford Chase. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
