Availability
Currently dogsitting is my main job. Some days I'll be home all day, some days I need to leave to do drop ins. I try to not be gone more than 6 hours if possible. I occasionally do art markets on weekends where I'll be gone for 8 hours, but I'll let you know before booking if that's going on, and if you're pup gets along well with other dogs and children they're welcome to join me. Other than the art market weekends, I'm almost always home all day on weekends.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large fenced back yard with ample space for running. I also have a doggie pool for the summer. I have a cat that grew up with dogs and loves them. Cuddle time is also in abundance, as we can Netflix and chill on the couch. Things of note: my house has stairs, so your dog will need to climb them to get in or out. I have a cat, so no cat aggressive dogs. My neighbors all have dogs, and my fence is low (3ft) at one point but I added an extender to that area. If your dog is a jumping risk for fences 4ft tall please let me know and I can take them out on a leash. I generally don't do walks unless necessary, as I cannot control other people's dogs and it's a risk I like to avoid if possible. I love playing outside, with toys or other forms of enrichment.

Information Amanda A. would like to know about your pet
I'd love to know if there are any specific things to look out for. Scared of new people or other dogs, pulls on leash, won't poop if you're looking, isn't allowed on furniture at home (so I don't tell them it's ok at my place) etc. No breed preferences.
A typical day
We'll have play time with tug, fetch or just running around the back yard. They can coach me in video games before Naptime. Meals are given at appropriate times, and treats as well (if approved of course!) There's always time for photos too!

Pet care experience
I started taking care of dogs as a summer job as a kid as soon as I could ride my bike. We have always had a dog in the house. I've dealt with overweight dogs, dogs with anxiety, Dogs who are prone to seizures and other issues. I love all dogs and just want to snap a picture of them all. I want to do this for the love of dogs! I have no breed preference as all dogs are good dogs. I'll be sure to follow any instructions you have as the dogs comfort is the number one concern.

Reviews

Amanda does great with our 2 very high maintenance dogs! She sends lots of pictures and you can tell she cares for the pups like they are her own. She is our go to dog/house sitter.

Amanda went above and beyond my expectations. This was our first booking and she is definitely my new “ favorite go to” pet sitter !! She continuously sent me updates and photos of Ricky my Chihuahua and it gave me great comfort. Amanda did many extra things to help take care of my homw while I was away - I can’t say enough of how fantastic she is!!!

Jett always has a great time!

Deeply grateful for Amanda's terrifically consistent care of my beloved feline.
