“Karen was the best! She treated the pups like her own and was so kind despite my having to modify my plans several times due to delayed travel. Would love to have Karen watch them again!”

“I can’t thank Taylor enough for always going the extra mile for my babies, I’m super grateful to have him watch them when I’m away. He is very communicative, prompt and of course the pups love him! Thank you for everything, we are blessed to have you around!”

“This is the second time we have used Ana and she went above and beyond. We have a very timid husky who does not like strangers or unfamiliar places. Ana is extremely punctual, always leaves notes after the visit, and takes great pictures. Always reassuring us there are no issues. We look forward to having Ana take care of our pets.”
“Katie was wonderful! She took the time to coax out our sky kitty as well as give plenty of love to our more relaxed ones. We’d happily have her look after our babies any time.”

About: Hi! I'm Sydney, a young adult with a flexible schedule looking to incorporate some pet sitting into my summer. I'm new to Rover, but have been working with and caring for pets for close to 10 years! I love any and all animals, and have the professional experience to back up that enthusiasm! I've cared for pets my whole life, including my own senior cats with specific diet and medicinal needs. I've also cared for dogs of every kind - literally from Shih Tzus to German Shepherds and everything in between! In addition, I have experience with birds, reptiles, and fish: I love exotic pets just as much as I love furry friends. I can't wait to meet yours! Friends and family describe me as responsible and organized - I want you to enjoy your time away from home without worrying about any logistics. My goal is to take excellent care of your pets while also handling the little things: feeding your fish, watering your plants, bringing in your mail, taking out your trash... whatever will make your life easier! I am currently working part time (20-30 hrs/week) at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, so I am locally available and flexible for multiple visits per day. Please reach out for specific times/dates/scheduling details! I am not able to offer boarding services at this time, but am more than happy to adjust my care relative to your home, yard, and spatial needs.

About: I worked as a veterinary technician for several years before becoming a teacher. I love meeting and taking care of new animals and would love to help you when you need it. I have over 20 years of experience taking care of a variety of animals. I have owned dogs, cats, horses, hamsters, guinea pigs, geckos, chameleons and birds. I am very comfortable around all types of dogs and cats, even very anxious ones. I am very comfortable giving medicine (pills, topicals, liquids and shots). I have a very active and anxious dog that we adopted two years ago. She is not our first rescue, but she definitely takes the most work (German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois mix), so I'm no stranger to highly active breeds. I am a teacher and on summer break right now. I have lots of time to stop by and help you take care of your fur babies. In my clients home I will defer to what the normal routine for that animal is. I can stop by up to three times a day but cannot do overnights nor can I take animals in my home. My dog is very anxious, we adopted her two years ago and are working on building her confidence, but it would be too much stress for her to have another animal in our house.
“I went on a retreat for a few days and I am blown away by the amount of care she gave my girls. It was above and beyond service. I honestly can’t thank her enough. No one can compare to her doggy care. I got emotional reading her messages because they were overflowing with the love and care she gave my girls.”

“Barbara is wonderful! She did such a great job at following our instructions for Twyla our cat and had fantastic communication. She is very responsive and followed up with all messages super quickly. Barbara went above and beyond to make our cat feel comfortable whole we were out of town. I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again and again. I'd give her 10 stars if I could.”

“Kati was absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of Leo and Lucy while we were away. She visited twice a day, fed them, cleaned their litter, and gave them lots of love and attention. I could tell they were happy and comfortable when we got back. Her updates were sweet and reassuring, and everything was spotless. I’d definitely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!”

About: Hi! I’m a dependable, patient, and detail-oriented dog lover who understands that pets are family. I provide reliable dog walking and drop-in visits focused on keeping your pup happy, safe, and on their normal routine while you’re away. Whether your dog needs a structured walk to burn energy, a quick potty break, fresh food and water, playtime, or just some extra attention during the day, I’m happy to help. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions and can administer basic medications if needed. You can expect punctual visits, thoughtful care, and regular updates with photos so you always know how your dog is doing. My goal is simple: give you peace of mind and make sure your pup feels cared for and loved every time I stop by. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I work three days per week, which gives me flexible availability on my off days and open time blocks for walks and drop-in visits. I’m intentional about scheduling so I can be punctual, unrushed, and fully present for each pet I care for. I provide reliable drop-in visits and dog walks that keep your pet comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I stick to their normal routine, give them attention and care, and make sure their basic needs are met each visit. You can expect clear communication and photo updates so you always know how things are going.
“My 3 cats love having Ari come visit! They can be difficult - refusing to take their meds, or playing an epic game of hide and seek; but she always takes great care of them when I’m gone. Thanks for the amazing work, as always!”

Lisa did a fantastic job dropping in and making sure my two cats were fed and doing well. This is my second time Lisa has helped me when I needed someone to watch my fur babies. Will definitely rebook again. I highly recommend her to be your next pet caretaker

We had a last-minute situation, and I really appreciate that Katie accepted the sit on short notice and showed up the very same night. She did a good job looking after our cats and made sure they were well fed and had fresh water, which gave us the peace of mind we needed. We truly appreciate the quick availability and the solid care provided during this emergency!

Ana was wonderful with Buddy while we were away! She was reliable, communicative, and gave us so much peace of mind during our trip. Buddy can be very picky and set in his routines, and Ana was incredibly patient and caring with him. We truly appreciated the updates, attention, and care she provided throughout the week. It made it so much easier for us to relax knowing he was being looked after so well. We’re very grateful for all of her help and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and dependable pet sitter. 💛

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
