In my clients home I will defer to what the normal routine for that animal is. I can stop by up to three times a day but cannot do overnights nor can I take animals in my home. My dog is very anxious, we adopted her two years ago and are working on building her confidence, but it would be too much stress for her to have another animal in our house.

Please let me know how best to approach your animal. I am learning through my own pup on how to best approach different situations for her and recognize that each animal is very unique to different situations.
A typical day
I take them on walks, can take them swimming, play mind games with them and teach them a few basic tricks. I am not a trainer but enjoy challenging high energy animals with mind games to bust up their boredom.

Pet care experience
I worked as a veterinary technician for several years before becoming a teacher. I love meeting and taking care of new animals and would love to help you when you need it. I have over 20 years of experience taking care of a variety of animals. I have owned dogs, cats, horses, hamsters, guinea pigs, geckos, chameleons and birds. I am very comfortable around all types of dogs and cats, even very anxious ones. I am very comfortable giving medicine (pills, topicals, liquids and shots). I have a very active and anxious dog that we adopted two years ago. She is not our first rescue, but she definitely takes the most work (German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois mix), so I'm no stranger to highly active breeds.

Tara took such good care of our Cat! Right from the start she communicated well with us and provided expert care for our older cat who needs medication twice daily. We could see in the photos he enjoyed her visits and playtime. He was calm and relaxed when we returned home. Tara went above beyond!

Tara was awesome! I’ve used her help multiple times now… found her last minute through Rover and quite grateful I did! I travel quite a bit, and relocated, so having to find someone new that I trust to come into my home when I’m not there, isn’t always the easiest! Highly recommend her! She’s awesome!!
I relocated and managed to find Tara last minute to help with my pup! So happy I did! She was kind, consistent, and took care of my pup with care! Not always easy to find others to care for your pets who u feel u can trust when you’re away so I’m grateful I found Tara! Will be using her help in the future!
