About: I've had pets my entire life and have been through every stage, from bottle babies to seniors, and I've never met an animal I didn't love. I have volunteered in shelters throughout the years, so I have plenty of experience cleaning up after animals and dispensing medication, when necessary. I work in academia, so my schedule is very flexible, and I can check in on pets and go for walks in the middle of the day. I work in academia, so aside from the odd meeting, I have a flexible schedule. I also have the freedom to work from home when needed, so I can be home when we have visitors. I have four cats, so I can only host cats in the house. We have rooms with closed doors where my cats aren't allowed, so any visitors can have their own space if needed. At a client's house, I'll gladly stop by for an informal visit to meet your pet, learn their routine, and collect keys.

Having grown up around animals myself, I understand how difficult it can be for pets when their owners are away. My goal is to make sure they feel loved, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re on vacation, and I’ll give them plenty of attention, affection, and care until you return. I am currently a college kid home for the summer. With that being said I have a completely open schedule right now until I head back in the fall! I care for every pet as if they were my own. I make sure they stay on their normal routine, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any medications if needed. I have had a love and passion for animals—specifically cats—ever since I was little. I grew up with cats in my household from the moment I was born, and when I was 7 years old I had the honor of meeting and adopting my soul cat Gabby, who lived a wonderful life by my side for 19.5 years. As soon as I was old enough, I frequently offered to cat-sit for my friends and neighbors as often as I could. When I was 13 I even volunteered at a local cat shelter just to get more kitty time! Interacting with cats genuinely just brings me so much joy. I currently have two cats of my own: Boo Radley and Lychee Peachy. They both bring such a light to my life and are my pride and joy. Boo is also an eyeless blind cat, so I do have experience caring for kitties with special needs! In addition to my two cats, I care for my hamster Linguine Tortellini, so if you are also in need of small or exotic animal care I am more than happy to care for your tinier babies! I make sure to offer the highest quality care for your kitties while you are away so that you can feel at ease knowing your babies are in good hands. In addition to ensuring they have the basics met like food, fresh water, and clean litter, I also love to provide them with enrichment through playtime or offer endless cuddles. I also understand that every cat is unique, so whether your cat is skittish and prefers to keep their distance, or is an outgoing cuddle monster, I always respect each individual cat’s needs and boundaries. I also know how much I miss and worry about my cats when I’m gone, so I make sure to send lots of photos and updates each visit. I would be honored to set up a meet and greet with your kitties to learn all their habits, routines, and needs so I can ensure to provide the best care possible for them! I do work from home full time, so on Mondays-Fridays I’m available for drop-in visits before 9am and after 5pm (I can occasionally take a lunch break if you need a visit midday!). Saturdays and Sundays I’m extremely flexible to come care for your babies. I like to arrange a meet and greet with you and your kitties before officially starting the booking so that I can get to know your cats’ needs, habits, and routines, and make any notes of special care they might need. Every cat is different and unique, so I adapt and adjust my care based on what they need. If your cat wants lots of cuddles and interaction, then that’s exactly what they’ll get, and if they’d prefer for me to keep my distance or sit quietly in the room with them, then I’m happy to admire them from afar.

In terms of my tangible experience, I've logged an immense amount of hours volunteering at animal shelters and pet-sitting for various friends and family. I'm a huge advocate for exercise and fitness for pets so if you leave your dog with me, I guarantee that we will be going on runs and playing outside.
