A Day in the Life: Structured Fun & Relaxation I believe a happy dog is a balanced dog! My routine combines mental stimulation, physical exercise, and much-needed downtime. • Morning Energy: We start the day with supervised yard time in our fenced "zoomie zones." For dogs who love a challenge, we’ll do a round of Hide-and-Seek or "find the treat" to get those brains working early. • The "Mid-Day Mellow": During the heat of the day, we move to the covered screened porch or the air-conditioned indoors. This is our time for reinforcement—practicing basic commands and "good neighbor" manners with plenty of positive praise. • Personalized Play: Whether your pup is a high-energy athlete or a senior who prefers a slow sniff-about, I tailor our activities to their specific speed. • Evening Wind-Down: After a final sunset play session in the yard, we settle in for a relaxed evening. My home is a calm environment where your pet can decompress and feel like part of the family. Your dog won't just be "watched"—they’ll be engaged, enriched, and loved every single day.

Safety, Comfort & My Home Environment Medical Expertise | Flexible Spaces | A "True Home" Experience I believe a dog’s environment should be as stress-free as possible. My home is a "crate-free" zone by default—I want your pet to feel like they are on vacation, not in a kennel. I only utilize crates if it is a specific request from you or an absolute safety necessity. Customizable Outdoor & Indoor Zones: • The Screened-In Area: I have a covered screened porch with dual-gate access. This is a perfect "middle ground" for dogs who love the fresh air but want the comfort of the shade. • The Multi-Level Yard: My yard is divided into two distinct sections, allowing me to separate playgroups or give a senior dog their own quiet space. • Access options: One area has only three small steps (perfect for older joints!), while the other features an open deck with six steps for the high-energy athletes. Advanced Medical Peace of Mind: Your pet’s health is my top priority. I am fully trained and experienced in: • Medical Care: Administering oral medications and injections (shots). • Emergency Preparedness: I am certified in Dog CPR. • Senior Care Specialists: Between my medical knowledge and my mellow senior resident dog, I offer a safe, slow-paced haven for older pets who need a gentle touch. Whether your dog needs a complex medical schedule or just a sunny spot on a deck, I have the skills and the space to make it happen.

Pre-Stay "Get to Know You" To ensure a 5-star experience, I love to "do my homework" on your pet! Knowing these details helps me tailor my enrichment and care to their unique personality. Before their stay, please let me know: • The Daily Rhythm: What is their typical schedule for meals, potty breaks, and naps? (I love sticking to their "home" routine!) • Dietary Needs: Any allergies, special treats they love, or specific instructions for medications/injections? • Personality & Triggers: Are they a "social butterfly" or a "quiet observer"? Do they have any specific "scary things" (like thunder or mail carriers) I should be aware of? • Training Goals: Since I love positive reinforcement, let me know which commands they are working on so we can keep up the "practice" during their stay! • Comfort Level: Do they have a favorite "security blanket" or toy that makes them feel at home? The more I know, the more I can make my home feel like their home!

A Day of Enrichment & Engagement I don’t just "watch" dogs; I provide a structured, enriching environment designed to keep their minds sharp and their tails wagging! • Cognitive Play & Morning Work: We start the day with low-impact mental stimulation, like Hide-and-Seek or "scent work" in the fenced yard. It’s the perfect way to burn off morning jitters without over-tiring them. • Positive Reinforcement & Manners: As an education professional, I love incorporating gentle command reinforcement. We’ll practice "sit," "wait," and "stay" throughout the day with plenty of positive praise to keep their skills sharp. • Sensory Downtime: After our outdoor "Zoomie Zones," we move to the screened-in porch area for some "decompression time." This is where your dog can enjoy the sights and sounds of nature from a safe, comfortable spot. • Tailored Activity Levels: Whether your pet is a high-energy athlete needing structured play or a senior who just wants a specialized "sniff-around," I adapt every activity to their physical needs and personality. Your dog’s "staycation" will be filled with the perfect balance of mental enrichment, physical exercise, and lots of love!

My journey in pet care includes personally rescuing and fostering 17 dogs, which has given me a deep understanding of different temperaments, senior needs, and the patience required to help every dog feel at home. Why choose me for your dog’s stay? • The "Royal Treatment": Whether it’s extra belly rubs, structured playtime, or a quiet spot for a nap, I tailor my care to your dog’s unique personality. • Peace of Mind: My extensive background in rescue means I’m highly attuned to canine body language and health. I know how to provide a calm, safe environment where dogs can truly thrive. • Home Away From Home: I believe in quality care for your dog as if YOU were there. Your dog will receive the focused attention and love they deserve while you’re away. As an education professional, my life follows a reliable rhythm that translates perfectly into consistent, high-quality pet care. • Summer Break (June – July): I am home full-time! This is my favorite time of year because I can offer 24/7 companionship. Your dog will have a constant buddy for backyard play, midday walks, and plenty of air-conditioned indoor snuggles. • School Year (August – May): My focus shifts to dedicated weekend and holiday care. Because I’m in the classroom during the week, my weekends are devoted to my clients and their pets. It’s the perfect setup for owners who want a sitter who is 100% "present" and active with their pets from Friday evening through Sunday. Whether it’s a long summer "staycation" or a holiday weekend, you can rest easy knowing your pet is in the hands of someone who is reliable, and genuinely happy to be there. I can't wait to meet your pet and give them a vacation of their own!
Reviews

Colleen was amazing with Dunder and Teddy and great to work with - communicative, friendly and well prepared for the dogs to stay with her. We’d definitely love for the dogs to stay with her again!

Colleen is an amazing dog sitter. She is responsible, a pleasure to work with, and takes great care of our dogs. They are happy to see her and happy at the end of their stay.

Colleen was great with our pup! We got pics and felt like he was well taken care of while we were away. Also she was very responsive and sent us pics!

When it comes to boarding, Frida (our dog) is a picky guest, but she 100% approves of Colleen. We will definitely be asking Colleen to board Frida for us again.
