“Maria is a great sitter. I just moved to the area and I am really nervous about leaving my little dog with people I don’t know. Maria updated me regularly and treated Kuji like a princess. She kept her safe and monitored who she interacted with. She even left us with a sweet note and photo! Thank you. I’m sure Kuji wants very much to come back.”

“Amani and Alvin are great caretakers. Our fur baby was so happy when we picked her up and she smelled wonderful. I highly recommend and would definitely take our dog back to them. Thankful for them both.”

“Crystal was patient and gentle with our elderly Australian-Shepherd-Black-Lab mix. We got pictures all throughout our vacation and knew we didn't have anything to worry about while Jake was in Crystal's capable hands. Thanks! ♥️♥️♥️”

“Alex was very communicative sent me updates of Kiki and pictures. Kiki took to Alex very quickly and that made feel comfortable and at ease, Will definitely use him in future for other stays, thank you for taking care of Kiki as if she was yours!”

“This was our first time using a rover pet sitter and it couldn’t have gone any smoother. Sitong and his wife created a warm, loving environment for our baby. Our minds were at peace during our whole vacation!! Will definitely be booking again!”

“My dog has a somewhat nervous disposition, but Colleen went out of her way to ensure that my dog would feel comfortable with her. Before boarding my dog, she suggested meeting up at a dog park so my dog could become familiar with her and her dog. Later, when I dropped my dog off for boarding, Colleen carefully introduced her to the other dogs in the house one at a time so she wouldn't get overwhelmed. Additionally, Colleen incorporated familiar blankets and routines from home to help my dog settle into her new situation. Although my dog is sometimes too anxious to eat when she's in a new place, she consistently ate well at Colleen's. She also enjoyed going for walks, watching the world from the front window, and hanging out on the couch and back deck with the other dogs. Colleen shared regular updates and photos about how my dog was doing. She was also quick to respond to updates from my end. I'm very thankful for the thoughtful care Colleen provided throughout my dog's stay in her home!”

“My 3 naughty + spoiled rescues are passed out after a weekend at Telly + Carlos' house. The babies felt comfortable there right away and my very timid rescue quickly bonded with Telly which has never happened before. Telly + Carlos are truly dog whisperers, they were beyond kind to my rescues. I can't wait to bring the babies back for more pampering by Telly + Carlos!!!”

“Anais took such good care of my baby Theo. Not only did she send amazing photos of my cutie, but she also made sure to keep him close to her at my request. She sent daily updates and even shot a cute photo shoot of him at the end of his stay. I will definitely book her again.”

“Dog was happy and exhausted when we picked him up. A good sign he was well taken care of and got plenty of play/outdoor time. She has a nice back yard and her dog makes for a nice playmate. Very good sitter.”

“Great setup for our little dog. Owen was awesome with the updates and pictures. The minute I stepped on the property I knew he’d have a great time and be in great hands. Thanks again!”

“Awesome experience! I have been fortunate to have friends and family look after my dogs when I travel. That changed recently and I found myself in a gut wrenching predicament to find a loving home to watch my two dogs-a Bassett hound and a senior small mixed breed (both of which have their own challenges). I cannot say enough good things about Shea and Brandon. My dogs were happy and very well cared for. The daily updates gave me such a peace of mind. I could see them playing and being loved on in real time. Moreover, Brandon and Shea were so kind and patient with me my anxiety over dropping my dogs off at “strangers”. My dogs and I highly recommend them!!! Thank you Brandon and Shea!!”

About: What truly sets me apart is my deep experience with dogs of every temperament, especially those with special behavioral or emotional needs. Unlike sitters who only know "easy" dogs, I have spent my life caring for a wide spectrum of rescues, from fearful and anxious to hyperactive and aggressive personalities. I treat every dog as an individual, and I have a proven ability to connect, communicate, and build trust with all of them. I've successfully managed daily medication schedules and provided attentive care for senior pets and energetic puppies alike. My friends and family jokingly call me "The Dog Whisperer" because I bring a unique blend of patience, calm energy, and deep love to every interaction. This means that whether your pet is shy, a little reactive, or just needs constant attention, you can rest assured they are with a caregiver who understands them. Pet care is not a side job, it is part of my daily routine and a priority. I am a stay-at-home dad, so I can structure my day to ensure maximum availability and dedicated time with every dog. I have a large fenced yard and a four-year-old Basset Hound who loves to meet and play with new friends. I am also the father of two elementary-aged kids who will give your pet all the love they could ever hope for.
“Valoneecia was incredible with our dog Genji. He was so happy and calm when we picked him up. Valoneecia also sent us tons of photos and detailed updates every day of his stay. We could not have asked for more and we are extremely grateful for her service. It was a last minute booking too and she was very accommodating.”

About: My senior dog passed away after we shared 18 wonderful years together. I know how much your family members mean to you. I will ensure my time with them will be fun and show care and love as if they were my own. I'm retired and have plenty of time on my hands. One reason for pursuing this opportunity is to get more involved and out of the house. I currently have only my little Percy - he's strictly an indoor cat with his routine - early am feedings and lots of sleep during the day. I love to walk and enjoy having a pal to share the time outside. I do miss my dog, our daily walks are where I hold very fond memories. She loved to bring sticks home and place them in the yard. I have always enjoyed my experience with pet sitters that I've hired. Each person understood how important it is to follow instructions and established routines. I would ensure I have complete understanding of each request and treat your pet as if they were mine.
“Katie took excellent care of Hazel! She sent me daily updates and pictures. Before Hazel’s stay, we had the chance to meet, and Katie ensured that she was fully informed about Hazel’s needs and personality.”

“Leeandra has a very nice and clean home and was wonderful to Augie. He came home happy and healthy and even smelled good. She sent us great pictures that looked professional enough to have printed. Will use again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Stone Mountain
This was my first time using Rover or any site like this and to say my nerves were worked up would be an understatement but choosing Sydney for the first time was a good pick! We had a very small hiccup in the beginning which was quickly handled and i appreciate that. I will say, Sydney has the magic touch. When I got my boys back they were calm and did not show any signs of being anxious being back home which let's me know they were good and settled while in her care. I unfortunately had to cut their stay shorter than planned but if/when I need someone to watch them again I will be reaching out to Sydney!

Chelsea took great care of our dog, Ruby! She sent lots of updates and pictures throughout her stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with, and Ruby was happy and well cared for. We would absolutely trust Chelsea to watch Ruby again. Highly recommend!

We were a little concerned about leaving our elderly dog for two weeks since he sometimes gets anxious in unfamiliar places but he seemed to feel right at home with Daniela and Dario. They took very good care of our dog and we would not hesitate to board him there again in the future.
Brittany was Amazing! My dog took to her instantly! She was patient and kind with my..."strong-willed" baby. Her fenced backyard was perfect to allow him to roam freely. She kept me updated with photos throughout his stay. We will definitely book with Brittany again.

Kristen was amazing. She was able to take Charlie with less than an hour notice and it seriously saved my day. Charlie came back super happy and relaxed. She kept me updated the whole time and sent pictures and messages so I always knew how my Charlie was doing. 10/10 would definitely book again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
