“Nicholas was awesome. He was able to look after Napoleon even with last minute plans. He arrived on time as promised, and followed directions. I would definitely use his services again.”

“Fallons drops in we’re excellent. She made sure that our cats were taken care of, even though they didn’t show themselves. She was able to troubleshoot our Litter Robot, so that was amazing, and she took care of other things that weren’t required but very much appreciated.”

“We absolutely love her. She has such a great personality, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. My favorite part is seeing my pup on the camera waiting by the door for her to arrive for their play date. That alone says everything. He’s happy, excited, and well cared for, which gives me so much peace of mind. I’m so glad we found her and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and loving with their pets.”

“She was amazing!!! Even though I wasn’t physically there, I know she was great with my Gigi. She was early and spent time with my girl. Thank you. I will definitely rebook!!”

“Jay was absolutely fantastic with our girl. I could tell from the photos that Lollie was having so much fun with him. His kind demeanor and his professionalism put him a notch above the rest. Suffice it to say, we love Jay!”

About: I spent all of my childhood with dogs and cats. I was also a fur parent to a poodle and Shihz Zu. My mother has a Yorkie which I usually have most of the time. I love being a Recruiter with Amazon which affords me the opportunity to work from home and Amazon is the most pet-friendly company on earth. I am excited to walk your fur baby and take care of them when your life is hectic or you are away for work or fun. You can trust I will go above and beyond to make your feel just as special as you do. Looking forward to meeting your special family member real soon. Thank you for considering me to take care of your family.
“Leah was absolutely fantastic with our very reactive rescue pup, Boots. We did an introductory session and Boots was more comfortable with her than anyone else he's met. She was a real pro in terms of how she approached him and has fantastic knowledge about dogs, and is experienced with nervous dogs. Looking forward to Leah becoming our regular pet sitter :)”

“Sierra was a wonderful dog walker. She was patience with us about a small problem (door trouble). My dog was so happy to walk with her and loved her attention!”

About: My earliest memories all include my furry sibling, a gigantic Doberman Pinscher named Wolf. In the four decades since my first faithful canine companion taught me unconditional love and the gentle responsibility of learning to read unspoken needs, my journey as a caregiver has been shaped by many interspecies instructors. Each experience has refined my natural intuition, molding me into a deeply responsible, proactive, and trustworthy in-home pet sitter. I understand that your pets are family, and I specialize in reading animal body language, maintaining exact routines, and providing the attentive, steady presence your pets need to feel safe while you are away. When you choose me, you can expect care beyond the minimum basics of keeping your pets safe and comforted in their familiar environment, adhering to feeding schedules, portion control, and exercise or play routines. You can rest assured I will make every effort to keep your pet happy and your home immaculate, following your established rules and routines. I will provide patient, gentle, and reliable delivery of medications, and safely transport your pets to playdates, grooming or training appointments as required. Additionally, I will maintain attentive home care tasks such as daily vacuuming, bringing in mail, watering plants, or cycling lights.Your peace of mind and satisfaction are my utmost priorities. As a pet parent and proud homeowner, I know trusting that your pet's comfort and your home's security will be maintained isn't always easy, so I like to keep you assured all is well by sharing text and photo updates as frequently as you request. I am semi retired from the film industry doing occasional freelance work or short term contract jobs. When I accept an in home care booking it is my top priority and I will only take concurrent bookings that maintain our agreed upon routine. Because I know how important consistency and routines are to happy, well-adjusted pets I focus exclusively on care within your home, centering my approach on preservation. I make every effort to follow instructions for your pet and home to the letter.
“Fantastic pet care! I'm so glad to have a care provider in the neighborhood who can pop in on my fur babies throughout the days I'm on a trip. Highly recommend Colin for all your drop-in needs; they are really great with animals and communicate well about care.”

“Elan was great in a very unusual dog sitting situation. It is obviously that this is more than a job for her, but a labor of love. She sent daily reports and answered any questions we had about their welfare. I would definitely use her again!”

About: Animals are my passion. I’ve spent many years caring for and loving on other’s animals as if they were my own. I have experience working in a doggy daycare, and I am currently working as a veterinary assistant! I am comfortable working with all pups and kitties, special needs or not! As I mentioned before, I am working as a full time vet assistant so my hours are slightly limited. I am free to visit your babies on my lunch break or after my shift I am comfortable handling all sorts of pups, varying from the young, spry ones, up and all the way to the sweet older pups who may need some more care.

About: I've always had at least one dog around growing up. We currently have a 7 lb chipoo mix who we absolutely adore and we'd love to get her a sibling but we just aren't ready for another dog full time so we'll care for yours while you're away. Send your pups on over for lots of playtime, cuddling, and belly runs. I have experience with younger dogs as well as seniors. I work hard to keep a routine and keep your dog on their regular schedule when possible. I know it's difficult to leave your dog in the hands of someone else but I strive to provide a safe and fun environment that'll leave you and your baby satisfied with the care you received. We'd love to meet your dog(s). Thank you.

My pup lived her best life while I was away! Chelsea did drop ins at my house and even though I unknowingly ended up somewhere with ZERO service for 2 days she was true and treated my doggy right on a holiday weekend no less. BOOOOOOOK CHELSEAAAAAA NOWWWWW!!!

I will absolutely be having Brandon watch Mazie again! He was so attentive, played with her, and she snuggled with him. It made me happy to see Mazie to getting so comfortable so fast. My place and litter boxes were left in pristine conditions. Brandon is a 100/10 sitter

Amazing!!! Jackie took amazing care of my deaf boxer and gave him some much needed training! I also left my little anxious puppy home for the first time and she made sure she was safe and happy the whole time! We had a lot of things going on at our house while she was there, construction workers coming in and out, our heat was broken, etc. I was very nervous but Jackie handled it with ease and was great about communicating everything! Will 100% be booking with her whenever I am out of town. Thank you so much!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
