“Savannah is the absolute best! We had a last minute need while we were out of town and she dropped everything to help us out! Our pups adore her and she kept us informed of her visits without ever having to ask or wonder how things were going. Responsible. Reliable. Kind. Caring. And very in tune with our pups! An absolute gem!”

“My pup lived her best life while I was away! Chelsea did drop ins at my house and even though I unknowingly ended up somewhere with ZERO service for 2 days she was true and treated my doggy right on a holiday weekend no less. BOOOOOOOK CHELSEAAAAAA NOWWWWW!!!”

“Tina did such an amazing job with my two cats! From the beginning she was very quick and reliable to communicate with so booking with all of my special instructions about apartment quirks was a breeze. My cats seemed to warm up to her right away and she took plenty of photos and videos that helped me miss them less. I’m so grateful for all of the playtime they got. I’d definitely rebook!”

“Sierra is warm, kind and dependable. She took great care of my babies while I was away. She was very consistent with sending photos and detailed updates. I will definitely be reaching out the next time I am out of town.”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I've been dog sitting for over 13 years so I’ve had the privilege of watching many of my repeat sits grow old gracefully. I’ve cared for dogs at every stage of life, from energetic puppies who need lots of play, patience, and potty breaks, to sweet seniors who need a little extra attention and a slower pace. I’ve also attended dog grooming school, so I’m comfortable handling different breeds, temperaments, and care needs, including administering medication when needed. Most of all, I genuinely love making dogs feel safe, comfortable, and at home. When your dog stays with me, they aren’t just being watched. They get to be part of the family. My schedule is very flexible. I work from home, so I'm available every day of the week to pay lots of attention to your fur babies. I have a spacious, fully fenced backyard where your dog can let out their zoomies, sniff, play, or just enjoy the sunshine with me. I have puppy proofed rooms with hidden cords(they love those!) I know most dogs live life through their noses so I make sure the floors are exceptionally clean and free of crumbs. I love seeing dogs off leash in dog parks but I have a strict leash-only policy when walking. Your baby is allowed on the couch to get all the belly rubs and baby voices! In your home and mine I'm excellent with following feeding schedules, medication and dosage, potty routines, walk preferences, and any other structure/rules you have so their normal rhythm doesn’t disappear.
About: I grew up with always having at least one dog and several cats at the same time, so I am used to a little pet chaos! Currently a cat mom to 3 cats, and am a self-proclaimed cat whisperer. I know it can be anxious leaving your pet at home while you are away, and promise to take care of your pets as if they are my own. I currently work Mondays thru Thursdays 9-5 but am very flexible before or after work to care for your pets. I do work from home on Fridays, and am available most weekends. My 3 cats are indoor only cats, so I am very aware and vigilant of keeping pets safe in their environments. Since they are indoor only, I have gotten very creative with activities to keep cats stimulated and active.

“She was amazing!!! Even though I wasn’t physically there, I know she was great with my Gigi. She was early and spent time with my girl. Thank you. I will definitely rebook!!”

About: As an elementary school teacher, patience, consistency, attentiveness, and building trust are a big part of what I do every day. I’m looking to provide pet care as a way to earn some additional income while continuing to do something I genuinely enjoy: helping and supporting others in my community. My goal is for you to feel confident that your pets are safe, cared for, and getting the attention they deserve while you’re away. I’ve been caring for pets for many years through drop-in visits, with experience caring for dogs, cats, and rabbits. I typically handle feeding (refreshing food and water), letting dogs out, any necessary clean up, and spending time with pets who simply want some company and attention. Rabbits are a particular specialty of mine. I have nearly a decade of experience caring for rabbits, including elderly rabbits who require more attentive and nuanced care. I understand that rabbits can have very specific routines and needs, and I take the time to follow their care instructions carefully and notice the little things that can make a big difference. I typically am out of out work by 3pm, allowing me plenty of time let in the day to support your pet as needed. While I like to stick to weekdays, weekends are not off the table. I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing your pet is in good hands. I’m attentive to their routines and needs, follow care instructions carefully and make their safety and comfort a priority during every visit. I’ll care for your home respectfully and keep you updated so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away (with plenty of pictures! :D)
“Zoe is so awesome! Zoe recently stayed and cared for our furry boy in our home over the July 4th holiday. He could be anxious when we go away but did so well with Zoe. We know it’s because Zoe showed him love, extra attention, and kept him calm. We were excited to keep the relationship going with a follow up visit today, July 20. Zoe also updates us regularly with texts and photos of their stay together. It melted our hearts because he looks relaxed and happy. Zoe is an excellent communicator and we feel comfortable that he is in such great hands. Thank you Zoe!”

“Awesome and very accommodating! Reliable and friendly! I contacted her about caring after my cat when I got out of town weekly and it was no issue and she was able to care for them immediately! Definitely recommend!”

About: I have had dogs and cared for them all of my life. I am a previous kennel attendant. I used to live on a farm and cared for many animals. I have a BS in Organismal Biology from Christopher Newport University. I have studied animal behavior as well as mammalogy. I adore animals. I have such a strong passion for them and love to spend quality time with them. Their happiness is what matters to me. My schedule is very flexible at the time so I am able to give my attention to the animals I look after. I can go from sun up to sun down and repeat as long needed for proper care. I give the utmost attention to care.I provide a loving and nurturing home to promote growth and stimulation. There will never be a dull moment. I love to go inside and outside weather permitting

I had to leave town spur-of- the- moment and was able to secure Priscilla to care for my three indoor cats and one (feral) outdoor cat. She did a fantastic job without having met any of the cats beforehand. I feel like she cared for my cats as I would had i been here. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for quality pet care.

My pup lived her best life while I was away! Chelsea did drop ins at my house and even though I unknowingly ended up somewhere with ZERO service for 2 days she was true and treated my doggy right on a holiday weekend no less. BOOOOOOOK CHELSEAAAAAA NOWWWWW!!!

I will absolutely be having Brandon watch Mazie again! He was so attentive, played with her, and she snuggled with him. It made me happy to see Mazie to getting so comfortable so fast. My place and litter boxes were left in pristine conditions. Brandon is a 100/10 sitter

Amazing!!! Jackie took amazing care of my deaf boxer and gave him some much needed training! I also left my little anxious puppy home for the first time and she made sure she was safe and happy the whole time! We had a lot of things going on at our house while she was there, construction workers coming in and out, our heat was broken, etc. I was very nervous but Jackie handled it with ease and was great about communicating everything! Will 100% be booking with her whenever I am out of town. Thank you so much!!
Fantastic pet care! I'm so glad to have a care provider in the neighborhood who can pop in on my fur babies throughout the days I'm on a trip. Highly recommend Colin for all your drop-in needs; they are really great with animals and communicate well about care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
