I'm mostly on Rover for boarding, but also do dog walking and drop-ins. I don't currently offer overnight stays because, quite frankly, I love my own home (and your pup will too)! I work from home, so I'm dedicated to caring for dogs full-time. I have a few clients I sometimes drop in on, so they may be alone 1-2 hours M-F. However, my partner is a high school teacher and can help keep an eye on them when I step out on weekends and holidays.

Safety, trust & environment

Because of the high level of care care and attention I'm able to provide, there is a high demand for boarding at my pet-free home. I do not own any dogs, so if my schedule is free, and your dog(s) will remain the only dog at my home during your stay. My profile says "4 dogs max" to accommodate single families with multiple dogs. Other than special circumstances where I've gotten to know individual dogs very well, I will not be taking multiple boardings at one time due to the stress it brings for all involved. Other than that, when boarding dogs in my own home, I simply listen to their owners about their schedule and try to keep to it as closely as possible. Meal times, walks, bedtime, treat time... They really just want to be home with you, but I make my home as close to theirs as possible while trying to encourage a "summer camp" environment where they get to play and explore more than usual.

Information Chelsea A. would like to know about your pet

Questions I'll be asking you are: - Does your dog get along with other dogs, and are you comfortable letting them be boarded concurrently with other pets? Dog aggressive? - Does your pet eat houseplants? I'll need to put my aloevera up! - What does their average day looks like in terms of eating and sleeping schedules? - Are they potty trained? Do they use a puppy pad? (not being potty trained isn't a deal breaker but I need to know to limit their exposure to carpeted areas).

A typical day

I generally am a homebody that does her best to stay healthy and get outside. I eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner at regular intervals, which is easy to integrate with my guests' schedules. I try to stand at least once an hour, which works great for letting dogs in and out of the back yard to prevent accidents. I collect food puzzles and have 4 so far for doggy brain teasing during meals. I have access to Stone Mountain PATH for walking and love company on my regular neighborhood strolls. I even occasionally take pups to Stone Mountain when they are down for a longer hike!

Pet care experience

I started caring for dogs in college as a side gig and basically haven't stopped. They fascinate me to no end and I love every single one... and I think they love me. They've lived alongside us for 10,000 years, cleaning up dinner scraps and loving us unconditionally, and spending my time connecting with them is a fantastic privilege! I have cared for senior dogs, dogs requiring insulin injections, and dogs that need assistance getting down 1-2 steps. I have cared for reactive dogs on a case by case basis. I also LOVE caring for puppies!! Just shoot me a message and let me know about the specific nuances of your furry friend; it never hurts to ask.

My pup lived her best life while I was away! Chelsea did drop ins at my house and even though I unknowingly ended up somewhere with ZERO service for 2 days she was true and treated my doggy right on a holiday weekend no less. BOOOOOOOK CHELSEAAAAAA NOWWWWW!!!

Chelsea took great care of our dog, Ruby! She sent lots of updates and pictures throughout her stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with, and Ruby was happy and well cared for. We would absolutely trust Chelsea to watch Ruby again. Highly recommend!

Once again, my dogs came home from Chelsea's happy and super chilled out. She sends pictures and short texts to let you know how things are going. I feel so lucky to have found her! I 100% would recommend her to anyone who needs a pet sitter.
