“Amberly did an absolutely phenomenal job! If 6 stars was a rating, she definitely deserves it. She is very prompt in responding back and giving updates (photos and videos) throughout the duration of our puppies’ stay. They had a blast & even met new friends! Their behavior upon picking them up was very noteworthy- mellow. Will rebook again & highly recommend her services.”

“My dog has a somewhat nervous disposition, but Colleen went out of her way to ensure that my dog would feel comfortable with her. Before boarding my dog, she suggested meeting up at a dog park so my dog could become familiar with her and her dog. Later, when I dropped my dog off for boarding, Colleen carefully introduced her to the other dogs in the house one at a time so she wouldn't get overwhelmed. Additionally, Colleen incorporated familiar blankets and routines from home to help my dog settle into her new situation. Although my dog is sometimes too anxious to eat when she's in a new place, she consistently ate well at Colleen's. She also enjoyed going for walks, watching the world from the front window, and hanging out on the couch and back deck with the other dogs. Colleen shared regular updates and photos about how my dog was doing. She was also quick to respond to updates from my end. I'm very thankful for the thoughtful care Colleen provided throughout my dog's stay in her home!”

“Talisya was absolutely AMAZING! she kept my dog for 3 nights. She kept me posted with photos of her and she made the whole process so easy and delightful. I’d recommend her to everyone I know!!!”

“Garyn was great about sending either a photo or video of my precious angel dog every day that he was with her. She cared for him well and it was obvious that she truly loves animals!”

“Maria was amazing ! She is so nice and kept me updated regularly along with pictures! My pup had a great time and I will definitely be boarding here again ! I advise others to do the same”

About: My senior dog passed away after we shared 18 wonderful years together. I know how much your family members mean to you. I will ensure my time with them will be fun and show care and love as if they were my own. I'm retired and have plenty of time on my hands. One reason for pursuing this opportunity is to get more involved and out of the house. I currently have only my little Percy - he's strictly an indoor cat with his routine - early am feedings and lots of sleep during the day. I love to walk and enjoy having a pal to share the time outside. I do miss my dog, our daily walks are where I hold very fond memories. She loved to bring sticks home and place them in the yard. I have always enjoyed my experience with pet sitters that I've hired. Each person understood how important it is to follow instructions and established routines. I would ensure I have complete understanding of each request and treat your pet as if they were mine.

“Joseph did an amazing job watching my two puppies while I was away on vacation. He sent lots of picture updates and kept me informed on how they were adjusting. It really put my mind at ease and my puppies really enjoyed being there. Definitely a 5/5 experience.”

“Christian did a great job of communicating how my dog was doing during her stay. I appreciated her daily updates. She is warm and friendly, and I know my dog felt right at home.”

“Daniela took such amazing care of our sweet but anxious whippet, Saoirse. She was very patient and Saoirse came out of her shell and even made friends with her adorable pig and corgi! Daniela’s home is very well set up for animals to relax and roam, and she has a large fenced in yard. This was our first time using Rover, and we couldn’t have had a better experience!”

“After having the same primary sitter for nearly 8 years, I’m always a little skeptical about choosing someone new when they’re unavailable, but Abby has been AMAZING! Nyla gets so excited to see her and even perks up as soon as we enter the neighborhood. We’ve already done two stays and are getting ready for a third. Thanks so much, Abby!”

“Charles is fabulous! Our pups are our kids, and our rescue Puggle deals with separation anxiety and doesn’t thrive in a standard boarding environment so we are REALLY picky about who watches the dogs. Charles had us come to visit his house a few weeks prior to their stay to make sure it would be a good fit, which was really reassuring. He does a great job of communicating and also sends pictures and updates while the dogs are with him. When we arrived to pick them up, everyone was calm and obviously not stressed out, which was fantastic. We are excited to have found someone that we can trust to watch our pups when we are away.”

“Jasmine & Christopher were so good to my baby! Kept me updated with pictures & videos while I was away and made me comfortable to leave kodi with them! Kodi came home a very happy dog!! Will def be back thank you two again!”

“Chelsea was great! She and her partner took excellent care of my two high anxiety dogs, and I’d happily recommend them to anyone! She went above and beyond when one of them wouldn’t eat, followed all my instructions, and provided consistent updates.”
“Alex and Amanda took excellent care of our gal. We received updates throughout and was returned to us happy and healthy. Thank you both for taking such amazing care of Bird!”

“Dana was great! The dogs loved being with her and her dog! She took great care of them. She kept us updated and pictures during their stay. She has plenty of space in her house and big fenced-in yard for the dogs to roam and play. I would definitely recommend her and will likely book with her again in the future!”

I moved so my normal sitter lives too far away. I took a chance with this first time last minute sitter and it worked out well. She responds quick, provide pics and appeared to take good care of Brandy. She is also very close to where I live so she will now be my first choice when needed. I would definitely recommend her.
Kala was a wonderful, perfect match sitter for Prince Charles. She took him on walks, spent time with him smiling and cuddling as well as ensuring he would eat at mealtimes. I could tell they enjoyed each other immensely. We highly recommend Kala to care for your fur babies.

Fantastic! I was hoping to have her meet my girl before spending the weekend with Lyndley just because I know Rina can be very fearful, but I don't even think Rina needed it! I got pictures of walks and relaxing throughout the weekend while I was gone. I'll be using her again when I'm out of town!

We have a new favorite place for Lewis to stay when we can’t take him with us. Being gone for over two weeks, it could have been easy to worry about him. We felt confident that he was well taken care of the entire time! Having him with a family was a perfect option for us.

Chelsea took great care of our dog, Ruby! She sent lots of updates and pictures throughout her stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with, and Ruby was happy and well cared for. We would absolutely trust Chelsea to watch Ruby again. Highly recommend!

Garyn has been great watching our two dogs! They were both well cared for and we felt the dogs were in great hands. We do have one senior dog who needs a food topper in order to finish her meal, and Garyn was able to accommodate. She is also very responsive and sends pictures throughout our trip. We would recommend her and will be using her in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
