“Dan & Kat have watched our boys a couple of times now and every time it is the best experience! Our boys love them and when we're out of town we can rest easy knowing Dan & Kat are on the job. 😊”

“Sarah was great!!! She watched our dog for the first time today, and we will definitely be rebooking. She was very communicative and took great care of our girl! Our dog absolutely loved her! Today we only needed care for one of our dogs, but she previously did a meet and greet with our other dog who is extremely scared and skittish around new people. Sarah was amazing with her too and made out scared pup so much more comfortable. We highly recommend Sarah and will definitely be booking her again!”

“That’s hilarious. Yes, Miss Mae is not so much a fan of the walks. I try to make her, but it’s a challenge. Thanks so much for taking great care of everyone! Hope you had a great time at the show!”

“This is the second time we've had Patricia come over for daily drop-ins with our dog when we can't let her out ourselves mid-day! She is great with our dog, follows all instructions provided, very communicative, and sends lots of pictures with her updates! We will continue to use her when needed and would recommend her to anyone! :)”

“Crystal is GREAT! This is the second time we have been able to hire Crystal. She follows the directions exactly as asked & our cat's area is neat and tidy when we return. So Appreciated. We will always request Crystal first when we go out of town.”

About: My husband and I have owned our dogs since 2018, adopting a third in 2024. We've been fostering for a rescue for nearly 3 years- we've fostered/rehabilitated 16 dogs through adoption so far! We call them our "foster alumni" and often see them back for a weekend of pet sitting. I work a standard 9-5:30, so my availability is limited to nights and weekends. If you're nearby with a morning need, let me know and maybe we can work it out. Our pets are welcome in all parts of our home, as well as any guest dogs. We always kennel "guest" dogs when we're away. Our younger dog is still kenneled when we're gone, the older ones stay in the office. When we're here, our dogs and guest dogs have a fenced in front and back yard to play in, an easy neighborhood to walk in, and can take their pick from the toy bin in the living room.
“Jessica was so great with my kitties while I was away! She handled several medications and even gave subcutaneous fluids. She is very responsive and gave detailed updates with photos at each visit, and kept the house tidy. I’m a worrier but Jessica kept my mind at ease and I can only hope she will be available next time I need a sitter!”

“Ashley has been sitting for our cats for over a year now, and we love her. She consistently goes above and beyond, and we feel incredibly confident they're getting the care they need. medical and behavioral issues aren't an issue for her. She's super communicative, and we love how many photos and videos we get.”

“Camille was such a good sitter for our cat! She communicated ahead of time, reaching out to us to schedule time to meet before we left town. I could tell from the photos she sent that Tiny absolutely loved her. I highly recommend her for any and all pets!”

About: I've got multiple years of experience handling a highly anxious dog that can be dog selective during high stress situations. I was the one primarily training my family's two dogs, as well as the one taking them out on as many walks as I was able. I have multiple years worth of experience with senior dogs that had arthritis and who needed to have their food prepped especially for easier eating. I'm currently a student at the University of Georgia and currently looking into part time summer positions, however my schedule is very flexible with daily check-ins and overnight stays during both the week and weekend are very doable. During check-ins, outside of ensuring food and water are available, I would make sure to spend time playing and hanging out with any dog and if I have time to take them on a walk I will. For overnights, I would do the same thing with the only difference being the amount of time I'd be able to spend with the dog.
About: I have had dogs my entire life and have always loved caring for animals. In addition to my personal experience, I worked at a kennel for three years, where I cared for up to 10 dogs each day. My responsibilities included feeding, bathing, cleaning kennels, supervising playtime, and making sure every dog was safe, comfortable, and happy. Through both my personal and professional experience, I've become comfortable caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I also regularly care for my family's cat while they're on vacation, ensuring they're fed, comfortable, and given plenty of attention while their owners are away. Pet care is already a regular part of my routine, and I make it a priority to provide dependable, consistent care. I have classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but they are only for part of the day, which leaves me with plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-in visits, and quality time with pets. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends, I have even more availability. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so caring for pets fits naturally into my weekly schedule. When caring for pets, I always do my best to keep them on their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. I'll follow your instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and any other specific care your pet needs. I make sure every pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while also respecting their individual personality and comfort level.
About: As a dog owner, Walker and sitter for many years now I can keep your pup extra entertained and safe. With a large, fenced in yard for the pups to play in with my pup (a super sweet and friendly Boston Terrier) Bodhi, I am also steps away from Dexters Run at the VFW if that’s a possibility. Also willing to walk the dogs in the Boulevard and Normaltown neighborhoods. I work on my art and jewelry in my home studio and will allow the pups to come in or out. You’d be supporting an artist while getting superb doggie care. I have a fenced in 1/4 acre yard in a wooded area and will also allow the dogs to be inside the house with me.
“Most importantly, I know Maz will be taken care of when Angela is on the case—but I also appreciate her pics and updates, too! She really got to know my cat’s personality because her updates are on point 😻”

About: Hi, I'm Emily! I have loved animals my entire life, growing up with a sweet toy poodle who taught me the ins and outs of attentive pet care. Today, I am the proud Mom of an energetic 11-month-old bernedoodle, so i am highly experienced with puppy energy, training routines, and keeping active dogs happy and stimulated. I currently work full time early mornings so I am free after 4pm during the week. My weekends are wide open to care for your pup. I currently will not be accepting house sitting in my home. I prefer to go to the client's home where the pup feels the most comfortable and secure.
About: Hi, I’m Phoebe! I’m a college student and a lifelong animal lover. Since having a pet of my own isn’t realistic right now, I love spending time caring for other people’s pets through Rover. I grew up with an Alaskan Malamute and was heavily involved in his care, from daily walks and outdoor adventures to plenty of cuddle time and attention at home. I also grew up with cats and have always loved their unique personalities, whether that means playtime, affection, or simply keeping them company. I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets, and I’ll treat yours with the same care, patience, and attention I would give my own. Spending time with animals genuinely brightens my day, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to get to know a new furry friend. I currently work on Mondays from 11-4 and Tuesdays thru Thursdays from 8-1 at the City Hall in Athens! I live close by and can stop by before or after work on most days! I do my best to follow your instructions closely so your pet can stay on their normal routine and feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I also love sending photos and updates from my visits so you can stay connected and know your pet is in good hands.

I am comfortable with giving medication! I am a college student on break for the summer and go back in August! I don’t work so would be able to spend as much time needed with your animals! I would like to be able to go back my house for a hour here and there but I can also always stay as long as needed if they need 24/7 care! Sarah was great!!! We highly recommend Sarah and will definitely be booking her again!

Leah is great! She took excellent care of Whitney. Lots of ball throws and making sure she didn’t get too hot in the summer heat/humidity. Leah made sure whit got food and water. She had excellent communication. I appreciated the detailed report cards. Highly recommend!

She came on time and got along great with my doggos! On Camelle's second visit, one of my pups had an upset stomach and Camelle cleaned it up very well and made it much easier for me to take care of the rest when I got home. I will definitely use her services again when needed!

Jaden was amazing with my dogs. Taking care of them is definitely not easy, and he showed so much patience, dedication, and willingness to make sure they were well cared for. This was the first time I had ever left my dogs with someone else, so I was a little nervous, but Jaden gave me complete peace of mind throughout the entire experience. Thank you so much for everything. I’m truly grateful for the excellent care you provided, and I would absolutely trust you with my dogs again in the future.

Taryn is wonderful-responsible & caring to both our pets and us. She stays in touch, keeping us informed and feeling confident that our home and animals were in the best of care. When we are in need of services, I first reach out to Taryn to see if she is available. I highly recommend!

Catherine did a wonderful job! She’s friendly and great with the dogs. She took them on a long walk and played with them in the yard as well as was diligent to make sure everything with their food, water and even the house was taken care of. We’d definitely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Athens with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
