“Erica has been great to my cat, Angelina! She sends daily pictures and updates. In advance, she met Angelina to see if she’d be comfortable with her. During the cold weather, Erica was also conscientious of ensuring my heat was on for Angelina.”

“kathryn was so great with mitsi! she left me a detailed review of their time together (two walks in one day) and mitsi looked super happy in the photos. i’ll definitely be reaching out to kathryn in the future for times i need care for mitsi!”

“Sara has been looking over our bulldog Bellaire for drop in visits. Our dog is very complicated as a rescue that has a history of resource guarding, but that does not phase Sara. She is so patient with our girl and takes extra time to let her settle down for the rest of the day. Sara’s communication is excellent and makes you feel like your pup is in such safe hands. I highly recommend to book Sara for the care of your pup!”

About: I am new to this app (my friend highly recommended it) and I got it because I love walking dogs and just hanging out with animals, but here is a little bit about me, I grew up with 7 Great Pyrenees and 3 cats so I have had a lot of experience with pets. I also volunteer at the Athens Area Humane society and take dogs out for doggy day out at least once a week. I take the dogs out on long walks to different parks, I especially love Ben Burton Park. I love spending my time with animals ( I find it to be very therapeutic and so fun and relaxing at the same time). I love to go on long walks myself and having a dog to accompany me on a walk is great. I would also love to pet sit :). The first dog in my pics is the cutest little thing, his name is Mr. Exotic, I used to walk him all the time while he was at the humane society, he’s now found a new home but he was the most adorable doggy ever. I am currently working a full time 8-5 job but some days I get to work from home. I can dog walk during those hours or pet sitting. I am also free in the evenings after 5 to dog walk etc. A lot of weekends I am available as well. I live in a complex with a gate and fence and I have a dog park inside my complex so I can walk the dogs there. I also have a reliable vehicle and can take the dogs to parks etc. I always drive the humane society dogs to Ben Burton and walk them there. I can also pet sit in my clients home and just make sure to take out the dog for potty breaks in a timely manner etc

About: i’ve grown up with dogs and cats. i have 2 cats and 2 dogs at my parents. i have experience with all sizes of dogs. i also have experience in senior care for dogs (my dog is 18). i’m a bartender on the weekends sometimes, so my days are always free, especially week days! i’m not taking summer classes so my availability is pretty open! i have no backyard but there are lots of great places to walk dogs downtown, i also live in a high security building so it’s very safe!
About: Hi, I’m Phoebe! I’m a college student and a lifelong animal lover. Since having a pet of my own isn’t realistic right now, I love spending time caring for other people’s pets through Rover. I grew up with an Alaskan Malamute and was heavily involved in his care, from daily walks and outdoor adventures to plenty of cuddle time and attention at home. I also grew up with cats and have always loved their unique personalities, whether that means playtime, affection, or simply keeping them company. I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets, and I’ll treat yours with the same care, patience, and attention I would give my own. Spending time with animals genuinely brightens my day, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to get to know a new furry friend. I currently work on Mondays from 11-4 and Tuesdays thru Thursdays from 8-1 at the City Hall in Athens! I live close by and can stop by before or after work on most days! I do my best to follow your instructions closely so your pet can stay on their normal routine and feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I also love sending photos and updates from my visits so you can stay connected and know your pet is in good hands.
“Jessica was so fantastic and attentive to Cheddar! It was obvious he had been well-being loved while we were out of town, and she kept in contact with us while we were gone, which was so kind!”

About: I have lived with three dogs my entire life and have been dog sitting for my neighbors for the past 2 years. I used to volunteer at an SPCA where I would walk and play with dogs. I am capable of giving my own dogs medicine including eye drops and love to train puppies as I used to with my own dogs. I am currently pursuing my PhD at UGA and have lived in Athens for 6 years now. I’m able to provide part time services such as dog walking, feeding, and playing throughout the week. Morning and evenings are typically free, however during the working week hours my schedule varies, but I can still be of service! I can also do boarding at my home and house sitting during the weekends. For boarding, please bring anything to make your dog feel at home, especially their own food as I do not have general dog food at my home and /leashes/beds (they are welcome on my bed though :)) I have a small, quiet neighborhood and love to go on runs around. I would love to run with your dog if that is the type of exercise you want for your dog. I will always pay close attention to your dog to ensure their safety and keep them on a tight leash if necessary.
About: I care for pets of all ages—cats and dogs! I have a flexible schedule around school and my small business, and I keep rates low to make pet care affordable for everyone. Let me love on your pets so you can enjoy your time away worry-free! My scheduling is very flexible and I am able to care for animals in between my academics and my other nannying job! I also have a small business, but am trying to make as much money as possible to support myself as a fully, financially independent college student. You’d be doing me a huge service by helping support me and removing some of that financial burden 😊😊 I prioritize safety and comfort for every pet. I make sure to follow any feeding or medication instructions, and provide supervision at all times. I’m experienced with pets of all ages and temperaments, so you can trust they’re in good hands.
“She is amazing!! Love that she came over to meet my dog before her scheduled drop in visits! She sends so many pictures and wonderful pictures!! Highly recommend! So glad I found her!!”

“Angela was absolutely phenomenal with all 3 of our pets! Freya is a big dog with a lot of energy, so we were a little anxious about leaving her with someone new, but Angela instantly eased those fears. She was very helpful and communicative above and beyond what we expected. If you're on the fence about a pet-sitter, Angela is absolutely one you can trust.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats ever since I was 10 including my own along with neighbors and friends animals. I have 2 dogs of my own as of today and have trained my one dog to even become an emotional support animal for those in need. i’m currently a college student and a student athlete. My availability consists on Mondays and Wednesdays after 1pm and Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays before 5. Weekends differ based on times. I have 2 dogs myself that need lots of attention and love so it comes to me easily with taking care of any animal for me.
About: I have been taking care of cats, rabbits, birds and hamsters since I was fifteen and I love it now more than ever. Growing up surrounded by dogs of all shapes and sizes, I understand that they're not 'just pets' - they're family. I'll treat your loved one how I would my own: with care, attention and affection. I have experience with elderly dogs, kittens and everything in between. I'd love to be your pet's next best friend! :) I have a very open schedule at the moment, and am able to work around your routine to care for your pets! I can walk/check on your pets morning, midday or afternoon! I will always treat your space and your pet with the utmost respect. Whether I'm stopping in to play with your cat or picking up your dog for a walk, I'll leave your home exactly as I found it - just with an even happier pet!
“This is the second time we've had Patricia come over for daily drop-ins with our dog when we can't let her out ourselves mid-day! She is great with our dog, follows all instructions provided, very communicative, and sends lots of pictures with her updates! We will continue to use her when needed and would recommend her to anyone! :)”

About: As a dog owner, Walker and sitter for many years now I can keep your pup extra entertained and safe. With a large, fenced in yard for the pups to play in with my pup (a super sweet and friendly Boston Terrier) Bodhi, I am also steps away from Dexters Run at the VFW if that’s a possibility. Also willing to walk the dogs in the Boulevard and Normaltown neighborhoods. I work on my art and jewelry in my home studio and will allow the pups to come in or out. You’d be supporting an artist while getting superb doggie care. I have a fenced in 1/4 acre yard in a wooded area and will also allow the dogs to be inside the house with me.
“I couldn’t be happier with the care my pets received during our recent drop-in visits. Emily did an amazing job with our Hazel. I especially appreciated the detailed updates and photos after each visit. It's obvious that Emily is experienced and cares for animals.”

“We feel so lucky to have found Nicole. She is so thorough and kind and she asked great questions during our introduction. She must be a cat whisperer because all three of our cats came to her which is really unusual. She sent us lots of photos and we felt very secure that our cats were in good hands.”

She came on time and got along great with my doggos! On Camelle's second visit, one of my pups had an upset stomach and Camelle cleaned it up very well and made it much easier for me to take care of the rest when I got home. I will definitely use her services again when needed!

Jaden was amazing with my dogs. Taking care of them is definitely not easy, and he showed so much patience, dedication, and willingness to make sure they were well cared for. This was the first time I had ever left my dogs with someone else, so I was a little nervous, but Jaden gave me complete peace of mind throughout the entire experience. Thank you so much for everything. I’m truly grateful for the excellent care you provided, and I would absolutely trust you with my dogs again in the future.

Taryn is wonderful-responsible & caring to both our pets and us. She stays in touch, keeping us informed and feeling confident that our home and animals were in the best of care. When we are in need of services, I first reach out to Taryn to see if she is available. I highly recommend!

Catherine did a wonderful job! She’s friendly and great with the dogs. She took them on a long walk and played with them in the yard as well as was diligent to make sure everything with their food, water and even the house was taken care of. We’d definitely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
