I occasionally work weekends from 8-4pm at a hotel, but am usually up very early and can walk your dog as early as 5am if needed. I have a fully Remote job and will be able to spend the majority of the day with your pets. Constant 24/7 care will have a higher nightly rate, if they are not able to be left alone in any capacity, as I will have to rearrange my schedule.

Safety, trust & environment

When I walk my dogs, I prefer them to be in a harness for their comfort and safety. I make sure to watch the dogs closely, so if I see any signs of stress, I will promptly remove them from the situation. During the summer months especially, I will make sure to walk them early in the morning or in well shaded areas to make sure their paws are well protected from the hot pavement. I carry a dog water bottle with me on my walks, so they always have access to clean water if needed. When dog sitting, I take them out constantly, offer lots of playtime and stimulation while there, and always make sure the area is clean.

A typical day

The goal is to keep pets active and happy! This can include a variety of activities, ranging from long/short walks, playing fetch or tug-a-war, or even something much more lowkey, like lots and lots of pets! The ultimate goal is to make sure that they have plenty of tail-wagging fun that can be tailored to their energy levels and personality.

Pet care experience

My experience consists of watching family and friends dogs and occasionally cats. I had a small yorkie with hip dysplasia and cushings that required meds frequently and I had a black lab mix that has also passed away, who was blind in one eye and deaf. I offer companionship and exercise for your pets when you're away. I can help with training, taking them for long walks, going to the restroom, administering medications, or just being an awesome petter for your puppy (because all dogs are puppies, no matter how old).

Taryn is wonderful-responsible & caring to both our pets and us. She stays in touch, keeping us informed and feeling confident that our home and animals were in the best of care. When we are in need of services, I first reach out to Taryn to see if she is available. I highly recommend!
