“Had to leave my dog for a week, but was comfortable knowing he was in good hands! She sent me pics while I was away and even bathed him before I got back! Excellent! Will definitely use again!”

About: I am new to this app (my friend highly recommended it) and I got it because I love walking dogs and just hanging out with animals, but here is a little bit about me, I grew up with 7 Great Pyrenees and 3 cats so I have had a lot of experience with pets. I also volunteer at the Athens Area Humane society and take dogs out for doggy day out at least once a week. I take the dogs out on long walks to different parks, I especially love Ben Burton Park. I love spending my time with animals ( I find it to be very therapeutic and so fun and relaxing at the same time). I love to go on long walks myself and having a dog to accompany me on a walk is great. I would also love to pet sit :). The first dog in my pics is the cutest little thing, his name is Mr. Exotic, I used to walk him all the time while he was at the humane society, he’s now found a new home but he was the most adorable doggy ever. I am currently working a full time 8-5 job but some days I get to work from home. I can dog walk during those hours or pet sitting. I am also free in the evenings after 5 to dog walk etc. A lot of weekends I am available as well. I live in a complex with a gate and fence and I have a dog park inside my complex so I can walk the dogs there. I also have a reliable vehicle and can take the dogs to parks etc. I always drive the humane society dogs to Ben Burton and walk them there. I can also pet sit in my clients home and just make sure to take out the dog for potty breaks in a timely manner etc

“Michelle and her family treated my Po and Basil as if they were their own! It was so great knowing my two were safe and sound, especially with her expertise in the vet med field. Will absolutely book again!”

“Tim has stayed with Caylei multiple times, and every time is great. He cries when we leave. Caylei was very flexible with me this time, as the weather was bad and I was nervous to drive on the day I was supposed to pick him up, so she let me add an additional day at the last minute. I really appreciate the flexibility. And as always, I appreciate that she loves my boy!”

“Angela was fantastic with our dog Mac. Great communication! Lots of pictures and she took him for a lot of fun outings. We felt very comfortable that he was being taken care of well. Will definitely use again.”

About: I’ve loved animals and pets my entire life. I’ve taken care of all sorts from large dogs to small, cats, fish, and livestock. I grew up on a farm and have been taking care of animals as long as I can remember. I’m an avid fly fisher and student at UGA and my partner is a full time dog groomer. Let us make your pet safe, comfortable, and happy as can be! I’m a full time student in an academic research field, so between research, studying, and class, I’m very free and would love to fill that time with furry friends. As of right now I’m home all day for summer! Pets in our household are always played with, comfortable, well fed and have an eye on them 24/7. Beyond anything else I will ensure your pet is safe and comfortable. The last thing you want while out of town is to worry about your little friends
“Jonathan is a great communicator. Our pup was very happy here for a longer stay. He loved having friends and seemed to enjoy his time. Came home just as happy as he left. Already planning to ask Jonathan to keep our dog again soon.”

“Luciana was incredible!! She went way above and beyond to take care of my cat Camille for an extended stay while I was overseas. Communication was excellent, and Camille was clearly very well taken care of.”

About: While in my care, you can be sure your pup will be spoiled with undivided love + attention. Whether we are lounging in the yard, out for a walk, or getting belly rubs on the bed, your fur-baby and I will be sure to send you photos throughout their stay to show you how much fun we are having! I have a dog and cat (and daughter!) of my own and my husband and I work from home full time, so your pet will never be lonely. Visitors will be treated the same as family members. They will receive lots of attention and have full access to our home and fenced in yard
“If you are wondering whether to book Nikki and Tom for boarding (or day care), just do it! They communicate openly and clearly at every stage of booking and throughout our pup's stay that we always feel relaxed and happy our little guy is at their house.... Maybe not as happy as our pup, though: he LOVES them!!! Thank you for another awesome stay!!!”

About: My family is a big dog family with two Great Danes I’m used to big more heavy set animals so I do not scare easy. I have a work from home job so I am well fit to give around the clock potty breaks and walks whenever it is needed. We have multiple cats in our household so I am used to regular feedings, treats, playtime and providing all the attention your pet may need!
About: Hello! My name is Gina and I am very excited to be a part of this community. I have years of experience with dog walking, pet feeding, and boarding pets. I have house & pet sat multiple times throughout the years and I absolutely love it. To be honest, I cannot afford a pet myself at the moment, so in the meantime I hope you'll share yours with me! Also I work from my computer, so my schedule is very flexible. Which means more time to spend with your fur babies. I am very responsible, friendly, and believe open communication is the ticket. I do not smoke, and have a clean record. I have my own vehicle. And most importantly, I can't wait to meet you!

About: Hi, my name is Kenzie. I’ve been around animals my whole life and genuinely love spending time with them. I’m all about creating a calm, happy space where pets feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while their people are away. What makes me different is how naturally I connect with animals and how much real experience I have. I’ve pet‑sat for lots of families with all kinds of pets and personalities, and I’m really good at helping them feel comfortable quickly. I also babysit, so families trust me to be responsible and respectful in their home. I’m easygoing, reliable, and I always make sure every pet gets plenty of love and attention. I just graduated from UGA, so I have a lot of free time right now and would dedicate all of it to your pet. I genuinely enjoy being around animals, so taking care of them never feels like “work” to me. I’m flexible throughout the day and can easily fit walks, playtime, feeding, and whatever routine your pet needs into my schedule. When I’m taking care of pets in a client’s home, I keep things super simple and respectful. I follow whatever routine you already have in place, keep your space clean, and make sure your pet feels comfortable and not stressed. I’m good at sticking to feeding times, walks, litter box care, and any little details you want done a certain way. I’m calm, patient, and I always let your pet set the pace. At my place, pets have plenty of room to hang out, explore, and get cozy. It’s a clean, safe space with no chaos, and I’m always paying attention to doors, windows, and anything that could be a safety issue. I love having animals around, so they get lots of attention, cuddles, and a relaxed environment where they can just be themselves. Your pet’s comfort is the main thing I focus on, and I make sure they feel happy and secure the whole time.
About: With over 20 years of experience caring for animals, I provide reliable, loving care for pets of all kinds. I offer boarding, daycare, drop-in visits, and walks, with a secure fenced yard and plenty of attention for every pet. As the owner of three large dogs and a cat, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. My home is pet-friendly, family-oriented, and focused on making every animal feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Regular updates, photos, and personalized care come standard with every visit and stay. 🐾 Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to provide plenty of attention, supervision, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. Whether your pet is staying in my home, needs a drop-in visit, or is joining me for a walk, I make their care a priority and ensure they receive the time, attention, and consistency they deserve. I work hard to accommodate each pet’s individual needs and routine to help them feel comfortable and at home. 🐾 Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I focus on providing a safe, loving, and stress-free experience. In my home, pets enjoy a secure fenced yard, plenty of supervision, playtime, and affection while being treated like part of the family. In your home, I strive to maintain your pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and lots of attention, helping them stay comfortable and happy in their familiar environment.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Athens
A week ago today, I left my "Furry Baby", Dora, in the care of Ms Annette for 10 days With some anxiety because this was Dora's First Boarding experience. Upon return from My trip I saw that there was absolutely no need to be anxious. Dora was well cared for Emotionally and Physically. Ms Annette is Truly a "STAR SITTER" and I will ABSOLUTELY Use Her again when needed!!

Bailey was the first sitter I booked on Rover and I am SO grateful for her kindness and flexibility! She made me feel safe and comfortable to trust her with my fur baby. She sent updates and pictures of my girl daily and responded quickly to my messages. I am so sad her availability is limited, but I would 100% recommend Bailey to everyone! Thank you so much!

This is the second time I’ve booked him, and I couldn’t be happier! My dog is very shy and usually takes time to feel comfortable around people, but she feels comfortable and happy with him. He’s super friendly and takes amazing care of her. I truly appreciate his patience and kindness. Highly recommended!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
