“If you are looking for a place to board your pet, look no further. Jess is your person. She was absolutely amazing. I was referred to her by another friend. It is a decision I am glad I made. Smooch really enjoyed his stay. She was available, friendly, and caring. While away, I had no worries. She truly treats your pets like family, and she does everything she can to make them feel at home. Thank you Jess!!! We look forward to booking with you again soon. Tonya”

“Rudy absolutely loved staying with Avery at her place! She and her husband are so kind and it's obvious they love dogs and care for them as they would their own. Rudy loved going on walks and cuddling. I highly recommend Avery as a petsitter and I know Rudy would love to stay with her again!”

“We love boarding our dog Winston with James. Not only is Winston safe and well cared for, but he also has a heck of good time! James is wonderful. We could not ask for a better person to watch Winston.”

About: I don't have any professional experience, but I've grown up in a family that has housed a lot of dogs and cats since I was born. We've had 4 dogs and 7 cats from my early childhood until today, so while I did obviously have the rest of my family to assist with them, I've still had firsthand experience with a lot of different behaviors and habits of these pets and how certain traits or preferences vary between them. I finished college at UGA recently, so I'm currently at home full-time. Pet care would be pretty easy to fit into my weekly schedule. I always try to make sure I feed my cat her treats once a day around the same time, so consistent feeding and cleaning wouldn't be that much harder with additional pets. I am gone some evenings on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, but other than that my time is fully open to help your pets stay relaxed, happy, and healthy. My backyard has a fence, but it's currently old and unrepaired, so the gates cannot close properly, so any pets prone to running will be staying inside or on a leash. My house is very small, but my front and backyard are very spacious, ideal for pets that are uncomfortable in small spaces. My cat can be skittish around other animals, so I will need to keep her in a separate space from them, but my family's done that with many of our cats, so it will not be a problem for the client or their pets. My roommate stays inside most of the time, so but he's also very friendly and should not pose any issues for the pets.
About: Aside from owning 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a reptile, I have worked as a kennel tech at a dog daycare for almost a year. There, I worked with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and conditions, ensuring comfort and ample enrichment. Also, I am studying wildlife sciences to work in wildlife education and I love all types of animals (except wasps). Before the semester starts, I am available all week! After that, I can come spend time or board on mornings and evenings on weekdays as well as all weekend. With each pet and home, I’d make sure to take the time to familiarize myself the pet(s) space and preferences. I would care for and enrich the pet(s) as if they were my own, making sure to spend quality time in ways that are more receptive to them. I’m also open to accommodating various specific requests and also care for other pets (e.g. fish, snakes, bunnies, etc). I’m more than happy to welcome pets into my house. In those cases, I’d spend time testing compatibility and comfort in my environment with my own pets and accommodate the pet(s) as necessary to ensure low stress but plenty of enrichment. I also have a spare room I could host the pet(s) in.
“Joey is absolutely AMAZING!! He took such good care of our Golden doodle Myles. He shared most helpful tips that instantly stopped Myles from pulling his leash during walks. Thank you so much Joey!!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I was very nervous about having someone outside our family to watch my girls especially since it was to be a 5 night stay. I had several Meet and Greets with 4 different people ahead of time and ended up loving me some Brittany! She's such a sweetheart and I could tell immediately she and her hubby loved dogs. Their relaxed home and living environment gave the girls freedom to roam and perfect for them to chill (I was worried about them being nervous). Their nice sized fenced yard and even an extra room for their "quiet time" (I have an older doxy and she can be a bit temperamental at times) were great as well. All that with the updates and pics Brittany sent me I never worried a minute about them. ----- I will no doubt use them again! ----- Thanks Brittany!”

“We had our first stay with Adriana, and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Gigi stayed with her for four days, and I could tell she was in great hands. Adriana did an excellent job keeping us updated with photos and videos throughout the stay, and her communication was outstanding. It made it so much easier to relax knowing we were hearing from her regularly. I also loved that she took Gigi on walks and gave her plenty of time to run and play in her fenced backyard, in addition to giving her lots of attention and care. It was obvious Gigi was comfortable, happy, and treated like part of the family. We're so thankful to have found Adriana and wouldn't hesitate to book with her again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter!”

“Luciana was incredible!! She went way above and beyond to take care of my cat Camille for an extended stay while I was overseas. Communication was excellent, and Camille was clearly very well taken care of.”

“Daniela and her husband are Honey's new bestie. Honey's is very comfortable with them, and they treat her as if she was theirs. I love the pictures they send of her through out her stay. Honey has a new home away from home. Thank you”

“Nakeisha was wonderful with our husky from start to finish. I could tell he had fun with her & the other kids. Normally he is traumatized for days after being boarded. He is as happy as can be & acting 'normal' after staying for several days with Nakeisha! Yay!”

“Kirsy is very nice and communicative. Her house is warm and welcoming. Leaving your fur baby with a stranger is extremely stressful. Kirsy eased our stress with multiple pictures/video updates daily. She is an amazing sitter and I highly recommend her services.”

“Ryan took our brownie girl a second week in a row for a last minute sitter situation on a holiday weekend. He sent many pics and messaged throughout the days. He made me feel that she was very well loved and took her in like his own. I will definitely use him again!”

“Tevin was awesome! He was easy to book with and communicated with us throughout the entire booking. When we went to pick up our dog, Harley, she was happy, affectionate with Tevin and completely comfortable with him and her surroundings. We will definitely be returning for future stays. Tevin was also gracious enough to accept our last minute booking.”

About: I've taken care of animals of every kind since I was a child. Growing up on a farm, I had the opportunity to learn to take care of several kinds of poultry, bunnies, dogs, and cats. I recently graduated with my MS in Counseling and am looking to save for my PhD program in the fall; I work as a server part time. I am available all week to take care of your pets' needs. I love hiking and love going on mountain getaways with my friends. I love walking and hiking and am generally a very outdoorsy person. I have experience with small and large dogs as well as senior pets. I am good at following instructions and am strict when it comes to safety.
“Brenda communicated the whole time, sending pictures and updates. We really appreciated that as it was our first time boarding Honey. Will definitely use her again when we need to board!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
