“Sully loves going to Adam’s place and is always relaxed when coming home. He even eats when he gets home, which is a big sign for him that he enjoyed his stay away from me! Sully takes over Adam’s bed every time and I never worry about the amount of snuggles he’s getting while I’m gone!”

“Yari did a great job taking care of my 3 dogs. I had an emergency come up and I wasn’t able to pick them up at the agreed time and she was very accommodating. I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone to date for their dogs while they’re away.”
“I recently had the pleasure of having Richard take care of my fur baby, Hugo, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we first met, it was clear that Richard and his wife had a genuine love for animals and an exceptional talent for making them feel comfortable. Communication with him was outstanding from start to finish. His home is a perfect environment for pets. It was clean, safe, and had ample space for Hugo to play and explore. I highly recommend Richard to anyone in need of a reliable, caring, and professional dog sitter. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Hugo!”

“I had the pleasure of having Jess take care of my pup for 5 days. From the very beginning, it was clear that she truly loves animals. Stella (Sweet Pea) was well taken care of, and Jess kept me informed with updates and photos to give me peace of mind while I was out of town. Stella (Sweet Pea) has separation anxiety, and Jess helped ease the transition, gradually introducing her to the other pets and helping her to feel more at ease. I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter and would definitely recommend Jess to anyone looking for reliable, caring, and professional pet care.”

“Chayna was awesome at taking care of Ace. He even made a new fur friend. She has great communication, loving environment, and I felt completely at ease. Highly recommend.”

“Savannah was wonderful. Our dog has specific medications he needs to take and she carefully stuck to his regime. She was a pleasure to work with from our initial meeting to picking up my dog at the end of his stay. Most importantly my dog was happy and well taken care of.”
“We had such a great experience with our dog boarder! She cared for our two Shelties for over a week while we were traveling. Communication was excellent from the start—she was responsive before the trip, asked thoughtful questions, and made sure she understood our dogs’ routines. While we were away, she kept us updated regularly, which meant so much. It was clear she was attentive and genuinely cared about our dogs’ comfort and well-being. When we returned, both dogs seemed well cared for. I would trust her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, and caring pet boarder!”

“Was very uncertain about someone watching our puppy. Especially because we’re still working on potty training. We met up a week before trip and the minute we arrived she acted like she was at home. We knew this was a good match. Pictures and videos were received to make us comfortable on our trip Fenced yard and close proximity to dog park were a plus”

“Maria is outstanding, I cannot recommend her enough! She is so caring and eased any anxieties I had. She sent so many pictures of my dog happy and went above and beyond. She is truly a blessing, I could not think of a more trustworthy or kind sitter!”

“Xiomy is the greatest! My dog, Max, has the best time over there. She sends great pictures and videos every day. Max comes home worn out from playing well there. They also take him on walks and they have a great back yard. Their dog, Elma plays well with Max.”

“Ms H is awesome! Ms H is really nice. She sent me photos of my baby during the boarding period. My toy yorkie was so happy when I came to pick him up. He didn’t lose any weight which is never happened before with my previous boarding experience with other boarding places. Ms H gave him yummy treats which makes my baby so happy. She has a nice backyard and really clean house. From now on, I will only board my baby with Ms H.”

“Becky was so kind to my sweet baby girl. Dora is an only kitty and took some time to adapt, but Becky was patient and loved on my kitty. Thank you for taking care of her.”

“Patti did an awesome job showing us where Hannah would be staying and kept us updated with pictures of her playing. We are very pleased with this experience and appreciate Patti's help and hospitality.”

“Sushma was great! She responded quickly on short notice. My dog a bit of a nervous, high energy pup. She took great care of him. She sent regular updates, photos, and videos. I'd definitely use Sushma again to watch my dog.”

“Adriana was amazing with our fur baby, Penny! Her cozy, clean home and perfect backyard made Penny’s stay so relaxing, especially with her own little doggie suite. Adriana kept us updated with frequent photos and videos, and her care was so professional, even handling Penny’s daily routine and ointment application effortlessly. During Christmas, Adriana made the experience extra special with fun activities for Penny and even a thoughtful holiday gift. Her attention and love for Penny were incredible. We highly recommend Adriana and will definitely book with her again!”

About: I’ve always adored pets growing up and both of my parents are certified veterinarians so I pretty much grew up around animals my entire life! I’m currently a college student doing online classes so I am at home majority of the time taking care of my own personal pets day to day I monitor them really the entire time with them by my side, but I also have two veterinarians with me in my household every day
“I cannot say enough good things about Tevin and our experience with him. One of my dogs is very skittish & unpredictable and the other can be reactive - both of them get very nervous with new people and new environments. During the meet & greet, Tevin was patient, listening to my concerns and answering all of my questions, and had such a calm, settling demeanor with my dogs. During their stay, he allowed them time to adjust and gave them an environment in which they were able to feel as little stress as possible. I love that they spent lots of time outside and had plenty of room to move around. His set up is well thought out, anllowing him to be able to care for several dogs of differing temperaments. Tevin also sent pictures during their stay and quickly responded to texts. In short, this was the perfect environment for my nervous pups (and their nervous mom!) - but I think any dog would thrive here. Tevin’s education, experience, and understanding of dogs allow him to tailor each dog’s stay to their individual needs and preferences. I would recommend Tevin without reservation to anyone.”

About: I don't have any professional experience, but I've grown up in a family that has housed a lot of dogs and cats since I was born. We've had 4 dogs and 7 cats from my early childhood until today, so while I did obviously have the rest of my family to assist with them, I've still had firsthand experience with a lot of different behaviors and habits of these pets and how certain traits or preferences vary between them. I finished college at UGA recently, so I'm currently at home full-time. Pet care would be pretty easy to fit into my weekly schedule. I always try to make sure I feed my cat her treats once a day around the same time, so consistent feeding and cleaning wouldn't be that much harder with additional pets. I am gone some evenings on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, but other than that my time is fully open to help your pets stay relaxed, happy, and healthy. My backyard has a fence, but it's currently old and unrepaired, so the gates cannot close properly, so any pets prone to running will be staying inside or on a leash. My house is very small, but my front and backyard are very spacious, ideal for pets that are uncomfortable in small spaces. My cat can be skittish around other animals, so I will need to keep her in a separate space from them, but my family's done that with many of our cats, so it will not be a problem for the client or their pets. My roommate stays inside most of the time, so but he's also very friendly and should not pose any issues for the pets.
“Adriana was absolutely amazing! The initial meeting was super easy and she was friendly and asked a bunch of questions. She sent photos everyday of my dog and did everything I ask of her. I can tell she is a dog lover!! She definitely has a talent for it.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
