“Amanda was great with our girl! Our pup is a bit vocal and has a few quirks; like needing doors closed, a sound machine on when we’re out, and a special diet…but Amanda handled everything. Communication was easy and consistent, and we came home to a happy pup. It’s clear she really cared, and we’ve already booked her again.”

“Jody and Preston took very good care of our fur babies. As a first time Rover user, it was important to us to find someone who is good with Pibbles. Jody and Preston came over to our house prior to booking to ensure that everyone was a good fit. While watching our babies, Jody took care to send us pictures and keep us updated while we were gone. I would highly recommend booking with Jody and Preston!”

“As first-time Rover users, we were initially nervous, but Taryn immediately set our minds at ease. She warmly suggested a meet-and-greet to ensure it was a good fit for us and our pets. While we were away, Taryn was excellent with communication, checking in upon arrival and sending regular photos and updates. Coming home was a delight; our house was spotless, our dogs were happy, fed, and well-exercised, and Taryn had even thoughtfully started a load of household linens in the wash. We have no doubt our animals adored her and received the very best care. We will absolutely be asking Taryn to return!”

“They were very kind and attentive to all of the care instructions for our three pups! All of our dogs loved them and seemed very happy and well cared for when we got home. They left our home nice and clean as well. Would definitely rebook with them :)”

“Samantha did a great job watching our stubborn English Bulldog. She’s reliable and gave us peace of mind while we were gone for 8 days. Our pup has some behavioral quirks but Samantha was patient and did not have any issues caring for her. We came back to a calm and relaxed pup. Our home was also left clean. Thank you Samantha!”

“Michaela was the best dog sitter ever! She sent me so many pictures so that I always knew what Poppy was up to, and even left me with a little souvenir polaroid of Poppy. :) She also sent me pictures of my turtles, who she wasn't even responsible for caring for. I would definitely recommend her services!”

“I am someone who is very anxious to leave my dogs with other people. I trusted them with Laura and I cannot recommend her enough. She house sat, my dogs were so well taken care of, she is very communicative, sent pictures multiple times a day and gave constant updates. It put me at ease. I will be reaching out to her again in the future for dog care.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Sahara! This was the very first time I left my dogs with someone outside of my immediate family, so I was naturally nervous. From the moment I left for vacation, she made me and my fur babies feel completely at ease. She was caring, reliable, attentive, and treated my dogs like they were her own. Thank you!!!!!!”

“Heaven was a wonderful house sitter and caregiver for our pets while we were away. We have two high energy and needy dogs and she took such great care of them along with our 2 cats too! She left our house tidy and clean. And she even left us a card and flowers which was just so incredibly sweet and such a nice gift to come home to! I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and kind pet or house sitter. And I will definitely ask her to house sit again in the future!”

“Mabel was so accommodating to my senior dog. She kept me updated constantly and was even flexible when I had travel delays to accommodate extending pet sitting. I can’t thank her enough! I will definitely be booking my dogs needs with Mabel in the future.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life from Bullmastiffs to cocker spaniels ! I currently have two cocker spaniels who are crate trained and know basic commands such as sit, down, stay, wait (when door is open or to eat ), come, speak, dance and paw. I used to have a senior dog also so I know how they like to find a nice comfortable place to sleep all day. I’ve been taking care of pets since high school from daily walks to overnight sitting at clients house or mine. I’m comfortable with helping crate train, and teaching them how to not run out the door if it’s left open. I have dog sat 1-10 dogs at a time depending on the situation. I have also pet sit rats, cats and fish. I do not work Sunday-Tuesday and work mid morning to early afternoon with the flexibility to go home and check on the pets. I do like to go on longer walks/ hikes and am always open for a furry friend to join us ! When I’m home the dogs are free range and go out quite frequently and are taken on longer walks 2-3 times a day. I do NOT have a fenced in yard, my dogs tend to roam around the house always supervised. I also have an outdoor leash that covers a quarter of my yard. We have a dog pool for the hot days for dogs who love water and sunbathing ! I have plenty of space for pups and plenty of crates as well! I’m very open when it comes to going to clients homes. If you need me to water plants I can help, feed a fish? No problem ! Warm up the dogs food in the microwave ? I gotcha ! Please just let me know in the messages or in person all their needs and I’m here for you both !

“Lani did a great job taking care of our high-energy dog. She responded quickly, sent photos, and went the extra mile to make sure our pup was happy and well cared for. We would definitely call on her again in the future.”

About: A lifelong love of animals has led to me learning how best to care for them from a young age. I'll make sure your pets feel happy, comfortable and safe! I have experience with dogs, cats, horses, chickens, turkeys, and guinea pigs, and I'm willing to work with all animals except arachnids and insects. I wake up at around 8 every day and go to bed around 11, and I can adjust pretty easily if I need to be up earlier or later. I can mold my schedule to another routine very easily (and enjoy doing so!) and working with animals fills me with so much joy that doing the best job possible is barely a job at all. I'll meet your pet where they're at. If they don't want to be sociable, that's fine! I'll make sure they're fed and have water and they can come to me in their own time. If they want to be attached to the hip from moment one, I love that too.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Statham walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Statham maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Statham choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
