About: My husband and I have owned our dogs since 2018, adopting a third in 2024. We've been fostering for a rescue for nearly 3 years- we've fostered/rehabilitated 16 dogs through adoption so far! We call them our "foster alumni" and often see them back for a weekend of pet sitting. I work a standard 9-5:30, so my availability is limited to nights and weekends. If you're nearby with a morning need, let me know and maybe we can work it out. Our pets are welcome in all parts of our home, as well as any guest dogs. We always kennel "guest" dogs when we're away. Our younger dog is still kenneled when we're gone, the older ones stay in the office. When we're here, our dogs and guest dogs have a fenced in front and back yard to play in, an easy neighborhood to walk in, and can take their pick from the toy bin in the living room.

About: Aside from owning 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a reptile, I have worked as a kennel tech at a dog daycare for almost a year. There, I worked with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and conditions, ensuring comfort and ample enrichment. Also, I am studying wildlife sciences to work in wildlife education and I love all types of animals (except wasps). Before the semester starts, I am available all week! After that, I can come spend time or board on mornings and evenings on weekdays as well as all weekend. With each pet and home, I’d make sure to take the time to familiarize myself the pet(s) space and preferences. I would care for and enrich the pet(s) as if they were my own, making sure to spend quality time in ways that are more receptive to them. I’m also open to accommodating various specific requests and also care for other pets (e.g. fish, snakes, bunnies, etc). I’m more than happy to welcome pets into my house. In those cases, I’d spend time testing compatibility and comfort in my environment with my own pets and accommodate the pet(s) as necessary to ensure low stress but plenty of enrichment. I also have a spare room I could host the pet(s) in.

I can mold my schedule to another routine very easily (and enjoy doing so!) and working with animals fills me with so much joy that doing the best job possible is barely a job at all. I'll meet your pet where they're at. If they don't want to be sociable, that's fine! I'll make sure they're fed and have water and they can come to me in their own time. If they want to be attached to the hip from moment one, I love that too.

About: Hi my name is Abby Laderoute! I’m currently a student at UGA. I grew up in a household with lots of dogs and I have been pet sitting for other people since my freshman year of highschool.
