“Bailey is our go-to person for Nero! She takes excellent care of him and always keeps us updated. We are very grateful to have found someone we can trust and count on whenever we need someone to watch him. ❤️🐕🦺🐾🦴”

“Unbelievably, amazingly, awesome is all I can say! It is like bringing your fur baby to grandma and grandpa’s house for a fun, spoiled beyond belief time! I was afraid she wouldn’t want to come home... From now on, I wouldn’t leave my Ellie with anyone else!”

“Dahlia took amazing care of Oscar. She was loving and kind to him and provided us regular updates with tidbits of daily activities. I could tell Oscar had a great time with her.”

“Yui was amazing with our pup. He had some tummy issues while we were on vacation and Yui went above and beyond to care for him, even making him chicken and rice. She was also super flexible when our travel plans got changed at the last minute. We are so grateful for her care of our dog!”

“Christina and her husband took amazing care of Asher! Her house is well suited for dogs. They took the time to play and walk Asher. She is very experienced with dogs as well. I would definitely have her look after Asher again.”

“This was our first time using Rover. Dan was so great with Townes for our short trip! He sent us a bunch of sweet pictures of our happy dog while we were gone, so we were able to enjoy our travel much more than in the past. It's clear he loves dogs a lot, and Townes told us he had a great time and was well cared for.”

“Mamie and family were great. Mamie communicated frequently, including sending photo updates. We felt confident that Solo and Sadie were well cared for and happy. It is clear that Mamie loves dogs and I think Solo and Sadie enjoyed their vacation as much as we enjoyed ours.”

“Johanna and Jerald took wonderful care of our two dogs while we were away. They were so kind and caring and sent pictures throughout the week to keep us updated on how they were doing. Their dogs got along great with our two and we just couldn’t have asked for anything better. They were treated so well, we were afraid they might not want to come home! We definitely recommend Johanna and Jerald and look forward to having them care for our “fur babies” again!”

“This was our first time using boarding on Rover. Cricket is very sociable and we didn't want board him overnight in a commercial facility -- we wanted a home environment. Terissa did not disappoint. She and her family made him feel right at home. She sent pics and an update on how he interacted with her dogs. We will definitely be using her services again -- SOON!”

“Amber was so delightful to meet and she cared for our Angel like she was her own. We are so appreciative of Amber’s great care and communication. She is an angel herself and we can’t recommend her enough. Thank you Amber.”

“Adriana was absolutely amazing! The initial meeting was super easy and she was friendly and asked a bunch of questions. She sent photos everyday of my dog and did everything I ask of her. I can tell she is a dog lover!! She definitely has a talent for it.”

“Thank you for taking good care of Roger. It was one less thing to worry about on our trip. You are the best dog sitter! Highly recommended. JR taught our Roger a few new things, how to stay until called, how to stay calm on car rides. JR gave our Roger the special attention that she needed. Thank you JR 😀❤️❤️❤️❤️😀❤️❤️❤️❤️”

“I needed a sitter very last minute and she accepted the very next morning. She took very good care of both my dogs and they came back very tired which I was glad because that means they had a good time with Cloe. Thank you again!”

“Erica did a great job with my buddy Thor. He was super spoiled and loved by her and her family. I was afraid he wouldn’t want to come back home 😂. I could tell by the pictures he was smiling, soaking up all the attention and love. Would definitely book him for another stay in the future ❤️”

“We left Niko for 10 days with Jacky and her dad and we are so happy with them. They gave Niko’s medication without any problem. We will count with them in our next vacation.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Oakwood
Dan was wonderful with our dog! He was very communicate, followed all instructions we provided, and created a very comforting environment. Our dog has thunder phobia and shakes a lot, and Dan did a ton to help make him feel better and calm his nerves. We didn’t have to worry at all the entire trip that our pet was in good hands! We will gladly ask for Dan’s services in the future again!

My house and pups were in the best hands! She went above and beyond to keep everything clean, organized, and running smoothly while I was away. My dogs were happy, well cared for, and clearly loved. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing everything was taken care of. Highly recommend!

Britain provided me excellent service while boarding my 5 month old fur baby. I will definitely use her services again. I really loved that she was responsive when I asked how my kitten was doing. I also loved that she captured pictures and a video during my kittens stay.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
