“DeAnne was awesome with my 85-pound German Shepherd!! At first I was a bit nervous leaving my pup with a sitter that has a dog as well, simply because my dog is an “only child” so I wasn’t sure how he was act/react sharing his space. DeAnne and her dog, Cooper, were so loving with Shadow. She sent me pictures and messages every day to ease my mind. I could tell Shadow was in good hands when I picked up as he seemed happy and didn’t seem like he wanted to leave. DeAnne was also very accommodating with my drop-off and pick-up situation which was a bit last minute; I really appreciate her flexibility. Completely recommend!”

“Hilary is absolute best! I was nervous leaving my senior pup with a sitter for the first time as he has anxiety issues and and she went above and beyond to communicate while I was away. She sent photos and thorough check-ins every single morning without me having to ask. Will definitely rebook with her!”

“Always an amazing experience with Kerri! Loki always looks like she's having the time of her life in the photos Kerri sends throughout her stay. Kerri is always very responsive and professional!”

“Shilpi was amazing!! I have never felt as comfortable leaving my fur baby when going away. Shilpi made the process so easy and gave us steps to make sure we remembered everything. While we were gone she sent many updates and pictures and I could tell my dog was safe and happy. They did a phenomenal job making sure she was eating well and enjoying her stay. When we picked her up too, she seemed so well kept and her fur was so soft and clean which hasn't always been the case when we have left her at other places. I will absolutely be leaving my dog with them again and I know I will feel 100% safe and happy doing so! Thank you to them for taking care of my fur baby ♥️”
“This was our first time using boarding on Rover. Cricket is very sociable and we didn't want board him overnight in a commercial facility -- we wanted a home environment. Terissa did not disappoint. She and her family made him feel right at home. She sent pics and an update on how he interacted with her dogs. We will definitely be using her services again -- SOON!”

“We were very happy with Lindsay & Chris taking care of our dog. This is our first time boarding Biscuit with someone she didn’t know. I was happy we could visit ahead of time to see where Biscuit was staying and how she acted with their dog. Lindsay and Chris were very caring and understanding of Biscuits needs and making her feel right at home. They also took care of Biscuit’s meds and eye care that was needed. We did not know about til right before trip. We were very pleased with communication and getting back to us right away. We also received pictures of her when gone which was a nice surprise. We highly recommend Lindsay and Chris as a caregiver to your pet !! We had a great experience !!”

“Nina provides such care and warmth to Aries' stays with her. She is so communicative and sweet, you can tell that this isn't just a job for her she truly does give each and every animal special treatment. We are so thankful for you Nina!”

“Second time hiring Amy and we will NEVER use anyone else. We planned a last minute family getaway for the kiddos and she was available to watch our puppy. She never fails to send us the cutest funniest sweetest videos and pictures. Koda (our pup) is so happy there. He comes back exhausted and but so well behaved which tells us everything we need to know. We’ve used one other person and koda came back peeing EVERYWHERE which told us he wasn’t payed attention to with his potty schedule but with Amy koda comes back and is just as well trained as he was before. So grateful for her flexibility and the love she shows our baby and her constant communication”

“If you are looking for a place to board your pet, look no further. Jess is your person. She was absolutely amazing. I was referred to her by another friend. It is a decision I am glad I made. Smooch really enjoyed his stay. She was available, friendly, and caring. While away, I had no worries. She truly treats your pets like family, and she does everything she can to make them feel at home. Thank you Jess!!! We look forward to booking with you again soon. Tonya”

“River is our first pet . Anna and family are awesome I have no words to say more than thanks for taking care of our 6 months old kitten . She shared all the updates along with pics and her activities at home . Definitely I am going take Anna help again and again .”

“Yami is wonderful and our dog Bailey loves her. My puppy was sad when she came back cause she missed them soo much! I will definitely use them again and will also recommend to my friends.”

“My dog was in good shape and was playing with his sitter when I went to pick him up. I would recommend her as a sitter and will probably use her again if I need to”

“Michael and his partner where very attentive to Finn during her time at the house. They really cared about making sure the stay went well. We received many updates over the two days that we were away and could tell when we got back that Finn really enjoyed them. They do more than expected for your pet and I would recommend them to anyone!”

“Arya was great! I was super nervous to try boarding our dogs for the first time as my partners parents used to watch them prior to moving out of state, but she was great and often sent pictures and videos of them during their stay!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Sara and Ousama and they took great care of our Winnie girl. From running to the store for things for her, and spending quality time with her, they were great. We will definitely use them again in the future!”

“Alicia did a fantastic job taking care of my pup on her first night away from home! I have a high energy puppy who isn't used to being away from me, but Alicia did a great job meeting her needs and providing plenty of updates and pictures throughout her stay. I know Mila had fun on her walks and play time with Alicia and I have no doubt that she was very well taken care of. You can tell that Alicia truly cares about your pet, and I had no worries with my baby under her care. Thank you, Alicia!”

“I highly recommend Stephanie! She took excellent care of our dog and she sent regular updates. It’s always hard leaving our furry family members behind but I was instantly comfortable with Stephanie. Will book her again!”

Yamileth was the best sitter ever! She would send me updates about my baby every day and would let me know how she was doing every day. I had an emergency situation come up while out of town and she was able to grab my kitty from my house for me and even keep her extra time. I couldn’t recommend her more, i’ve never used rover and was scared, but now I will continue to use it and to book with Yamileth!!!

Taylor is hands down one of my favorite rovers of all time! She was always quick to respond and very communicative. She took amazing care of my girl Aspen and gave me such peace of mind that she was being taken care of like a princess. I can’t recommend Taylor’s services enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
