“This was our first time using boarding on Rover. Cricket is very sociable and we didn't want board him overnight in a commercial facility -- we wanted a home environment. Terissa did not disappoint. She and her family made him feel right at home. She sent pics and an update on how he interacted with her dogs. We will definitely be using her services again -- SOON!”

“This was our first booking with Teresa and we will absolutely book her again! I appreciated her updates with photos and videos. Our girls felt right at home and were so happy with all of the extra attention.”

“Savannah was able to meet up with our sister, Victoria, at our wedding venue, to hand off our dog Bella while she walked down the aisle with Victoria and then left the venue to watch Bella overnight. Savannah is very sweet and very easy to work with!”

“Unbelievably, amazingly, awesome is all I can say! It is like bringing your fur baby to grandma and grandpa’s house for a fun, spoiled beyond belief time! I was afraid she wouldn’t want to come home... From now on, I wouldn’t leave my Ellie with anyone else!”

“Ryan and his family are lovely people and took excellent care of my dog. They have a young Aussie who was also sweet and my dog came back to me very relaxed and happy (and very tired after all the fun!). Ryan offered to bathe my dog after he got dirty on a hike, which was very thoughtful. He sent frequent photos and kept me in the loop with everything, which put me at ease after having a poor experience with a previous Rover dog sitter. I couldn’t recommend this family enough! Thank you Ryan and family!”

“Kathryn was wonderful with our dog, Sadie! She was so responsive and kept us updated through out the weekend with photos. They played fetch, cuddled on the couch, and had the best time. Will certainly reach out again in the future!”

“I’m so thankful to Yelena for taking such great care of Morgan for a few nights after my surgery. She was caring, gave me updates, and I could tell they really fell in love with him. Definitely a five-star experience!”

“Michele and her family took amazing care of our sweet Milli! We were so nervous leaving her for the first time, but Michele’s daily updates put us at ease with sweet pictures! We could not have asked for a better experience and Milli can’t wait for her next trip to stay with them!”

“Lauren was great with Onyx. We received daily photos and it made us feel at ease. We had no worries about Onyx even though we were a state away. I plan on booking Lauren again for future stays.”

“Our pup had such an amazing time with Julie and her family! From the moment we arrived, Chiko felt right at home and quickly became part of the family. He loved playing with their two doodles, Chase and Rusty, and even got to meet their goats, pigs, chickens, and play with their kiddos. Their fully fenced yard (many acres) was perfect for safe playtime and gave us extra peace of mind. Julie went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable leaving him, especially since Chiko is deaf and uses a special collar. She took the time to learn how to communicate with him, which gave us such reassurance. We loved the adorable photo updates throughout his stay, and when we picked him up, he was one happy (and tired!) pup who fell right asleep as soon as we got home. We are so grateful to Julie and her family for the wonderful care they gave our pup, and we can’t wait for him to stay with them again. Highly recommend!”

“Nicole was amazing with our Cherry girl! She sent daily updates and was the perfect home for her on our weekend away. We have friends with dogs and we have already recommended Nicole for a pet sitter to them!”

“Cynthia did a great job taking care of my puppy Ringo. She gave me a lot of updates and pictures on him and she took him last minute which was amazing. I would recommend her to all my friends and family and I will definitely be using her again!!”

“Lindsay was absolutely wonderful! She made me feel comfortable with this first time dog boarding experience. Sent lots of pics and updates. Her background with pets and job made me feel so much more at ease. When I got home and was unpacking his bag I found a report card...was so cute and so sweet. She definitely loved and cared for my dog as much as I do...he too felt at ease with her. I will definitely use her again!”

“Thank you, Richard, for taking such good care of our dogs (and even during hurricane Helene)! This is the second time Richard has watched our dogs and we feel very comfortable with our dogs at his house and know he's taking great care of them. One of our dogs got very excited when we pulled into Richard's driveway. Richard is great at keeping you informed on how your dogs are doing and sending pictures and videos. We highly recommend Richard and will definitely be using him as our dogsitter again!!”

“Amy did a fantastic job! We had a very last minute trip and the day of she accepted our puppy. She took sooo many pictures and videos. She did exactly what we asked at night time because our pup gave separation anxiety. Our pup seemed SO happy but also worn out from play with their dogs (who seem so sweet). We will definitely be hiring her again for future boarding.”

“We booked Arya on short notice for our Labor Day trip when our regular sitter wasn’t available. She took care of our 6-year-old dog for a week, and he seemed happy and well when we picked him up. He clearly enjoyed his time with her sweet dog, Butter.”

“Angela C. is the best! She sent me regular updates with pictures. My dogs always looked so comfortable and happy at her house. They were allowed on her couch and quickly found their favorite spots in her house. When I came to pick them up, I could tell as soon as I saw them how much both Angela and the dogs had enjoyed their time together. She spoke knowledgeably about their silly quirks and things they do, and even had a couple of insights I had not noticed before! I will definitely let my dogs stay with her the next time I go on vacation and would highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve been a devoted dog lover for years—starting with family pets like Golden Retrievers and Shih Tzus. In 2014, I got my own dog, and a year ago, my wife and I welcomed a Bernedoodle, Whiskey, into our home. I’m passionate about giving dogs safe outdoor adventures and lots of love. I also care for other pets—tortoises, lizards, birds—so I’m open to small animal care. While I don’t offer cat-only services, I’m more than happy to care for dogs in cat homes—just no cat cuddles due to allergies. I can’t wait to meet your pup! I have a very reflexive schedule and I can plan my day according to walks or visits. Let’s find the best time for me to come spend time with your dog! I provide drop-in visits and walks only, as my new home is too small for boarding. During visits, I’ll give your dog plenty of attention, playtime, and outdoor exercise, and I’ll follow any care instructions you provide.

Taylor is hands down one of my favorite rovers of all time! She was always quick to respond and very communicative. She took amazing care of my girl Aspen and gave me such peace of mind that she was being taken care of like a princess. I can’t recommend Taylor’s services enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
