“Sharon was very attentive with my very shy recently- adopted senior kitty. He likes to stay under the bed, but Sharon was able to get him to come out and play. I appreciate the updates with pictures, too, which let me know he was doing fine.”

“Stephanie is the absolute best! She takes the best care of my sweet boy when she visits. She shares the best PUPdates with each visit and it’s so easy to see how much she truly cares for my baby. Amazing!!”

“She is an incredibly thoughtful and attentive pet sitter! She truly went above and beyond to make sure my babies were well cared for. Her communication was excellent, she was always punctual, and carried herself so professionally. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She took so many pictures of my precious angels for me to see how they were doing. Thank you so much!”

“Amber is so loving with our kitties, Mabel and Sylvia. She always goes above and beyond while we are out of town and is a wonderful communicator about what is going on when we aren’t there. We highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.”

About: Hi all! I grew up with having dogs my whole life- we had a lab, a pug, and a pekignese, so I have a lot of experience with different sized dogs. My husband is also a big dog lover and grew up fostering many dogs who needed some extra love and care before finding their forever homes. My husband and I have half an acre of grass for your pup to run around in (unfenced) and will treat your dog as our own. We do work during the week in the office, however are home all weekend and would love to take care of your dog during weekend trips. Your pup will be in safe care and have a built in cuddle buddy and play partner with our 9 year old mini Australian shepherd, Ruby. We are available for boarding on the weekends Thursday evening-Sun. We both work from home on Thursdays, and my husband works from home on Fridays. We have an unfenced half acre yard, so please let us know if your dog is okay to be off leash or is a runner. We will treat your dog as our own which means lots of cuddles! Dogs are allowed on furniture and we will feed according to your preferences and schedules. We do have a medium sized kennel available if needed for your pup.

“Felicia was awesome! We just needed someone to watch our cat while we were away for a few days. She was super communicative and great with our elderly, persnickety cat! She stopped by two times daily, and took lots of photos and kept me up to date with every little detail. Highly recommended! Thank you, Felicia! :)”
“Chelsea was the best ever!! Not only did she stop by 3x per day, but she provided feed back and pictures each visit. I knew my dogs were in great hands with Chelsea and I didn't have to stress about them on my trip. Thank you again Chelsea, I will be sure to book you on my next outing!!!”

“Lindy was exceptional. Right from the first interaction I could tell how my doggies help comfortable with Lindy. During her visits she kept me posted about their day. She showed up on the schedule time and sent pictures. Thank you Lindy for your help.”

“Krista is an amazing pet sitter! She is very caring, going the extra mile to ensure our pet's needs are met. She is gentle and calm with our timid cat which was very important to us. She communicates clearly, arrives timely and we are so very grateful for her kind care!”

About: I have had over 30 years of experience with a variety of pets. I worked in a family run pet store during high school and college, spent many years as a vet tech and have owned cats, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles and numerous other small animals over the years. Finding someone to care for your smaller animals can be challenging, so I am hoping to be able to provide that service to my community. I currently work full time from home but have incredible flexibility with no strict work hours. I tend to be a very early morning person (up at 4am to exercise) and early to bed by 9pm. I understand the importance of keeping your pets in the same routine as you would if you were not away so I will do my best to be flexible. Cats need fresh food, water and litter box cleaning daily, and even multiple times daily depending on the situation. I am also able to give medications (orally, injections, etc.). And of course, if your cat bonds with me, I'm happy to hang out and give him/her some love. I also realize some cats may not take well to strangers and having volunteered at Furkids, I know it may take a lot of patience and time to build that bond.
“Carly is amazing!! When she showed up for our meet and greet wearing a dog mom hat, I knew I was going to be leaving my fur baby in good hands. Carly shows up on time, very responsive, always sends multiple photos, and has been flexible when I needed to make an adjustment. My little senior fellow loves her and I’m so grateful for her drop in visits while I’m in the office. :)”

“Ricky took great care of my cats and had now issues give my cat her medication twice a day. He sent me frequent updates and let me know they doing well. I’m very happy with him taking care of my cats and definitely recommend him to other pet parents.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cumming. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
