“Liam cared for our two cats while we were away. He made sure they were well taken care of. Our cats are very shy and he took the time to try to connect with them. Each day he took plenty of photos and even a small write up of how the visit went. We highly recommend Liam!”

“Lizette was amazing! This was our first time having someone new watch our cats while out of town. Lizette was fantastic at asking all the right questions to make sure she was up on the routine. She loved on them, snuggled them and made sure they were well cared for! So happy to have Lizette as a contact to love and care for our girls when we are out of town :) Highly recommend!”

“Caroline took care of my three cats while I was traveling, and I’d hire her again without hesitation. She was reliable and communicative — showed up when she said she would, sent updates so I wasn’t left wondering, and handled the basics (feeding, litter, water, general check-ins) without me needing to micromanage anything from the road. Truly a great experience, and I’d highly recommend her!”

“Natalie took good care of our girls (2dogs and 1cat) while we were out of town for part of a week. We really appreciated her photos and comments that helped us stay “in touch” with them while we were gone! She also got back with me promptly when I had a question or two for her. :-)”

About: I have lived in a home with 1-2 dogs at a time for most of my life, starting when I was in preschool. Almost all of my friends and family have either dogs or cats, sometimes both, and I have also done a lot of pet sitting for them over the years. I have experience with large and small dog breeds, a few different cat breeds, and also some experience with farm animals. I do my best to stick to any routines or training, either actively ongoing or already in place, so knowing any pet’s specific command words or motions is helpful. I also have experience with almost all stages of life, other than fresh newborn baby dogs to eight weeks of age. I love animals, and treat each one under my care in any situation as if they were my own. My current schedule is fairly open as I am taking some online classes while I pivot in my career, so there is plenty of time for your fur babies to be loved on. My daily routine is fairly flexible and can be adjusted around a pet’s schedule who is under my care. My priority is the safety and care of your pet and your home. I am extremely respectful of people’s privacy and property so there would be no snooping, nor any crazy messes left behind. There would also be no one brought into your home not cleared to be there. House rules will be respected- like no dogs on the couch, no cats on the counter, don’t feed gremlins after midnight etc. I clean up after myself, bring my own food/snacks for overnights, and make sure the home is locked up tight whether or not I am there. I can care for plants as well- but need specifics as I do not have a green thumb. If your pet is used to having company almost 24/7, I will do my best to accommodate that. I am happy to sit curled up with your dog or cat and read or do my course work throughout the day/ night and have no problems co sleeping with your pet if they’re used to sleeping in bed with you. If they’re used to sleeping in their crate, that is easily doable as well.
About: I have been cat sitting and fostering pets for about a year now, taking care of friends cats and helping animals in crisis (medical needs requiring them to be away from the shelter or in need of a temporary home). I work from home, so taking care of pets and being available to any of their needs would fit very easily into my daily or weekly routine. I would care for pets in my home just as they were my own pets. They would be free to roam the house (barring a few closed doors) and I would cater to any medical needs or preferences and follow their pre-determined schedule as closely as possible.
“Stacy has been an absolute gift this week as my lifestyle changed and requires some more regular help. She’s so dependable, responsive and supportive. We are so happy to have her in our lives and will continue to be regulars. 🙏🏼”

“This was the first time I used Rover and specifically Kathleen. She did a wonderful job of taking care of my dog, Charlie. I when to visit my sister and her family and was in need of someone to do a home visit while I was away. While gone, I received multiple pictures chronicling Charlie’s walks and reports of his activities while on each walk. The attention to detail certainly put my mind at ease. When I returned home, Charlie didn’t seem stressed at all which was always a concern when I boarded him at a pet resort/hotel.”

“Elizabeth helped my wife an I navigate the Rover experience and site to ensure Bella was taken care of including meds, bathroom and some companionship time. Thanks.”

“Amber has been awesome!! Coco loves her. She made it possible for us to visit family on Christmas day. She is very punctual and attentive to Coco's needs. We already have our next trip booked with her.”

“We were so happy with Charlene who did drop in visits with our Golden Retriever Piper. We had never left Piper at home for multiple days and were nervous she may be lonely and not do well. Charlene made us feel at ease. She sent us a report and pictures after each visit and we could tell Piper was loving being at home and not in a kennel. Communication was awesome and we will definitely use Charlene again and highly recommend her.”

“I can’t recommend Vienna enough! She took incredible care of our two dogs while we were away and went above and beyond in every way. She made sure the pups got out three times a day for walks and bathroom breaks, and it was clear from the moment we got home that our dogs had been loved and well cared for. Vienna was always punctual, dependable, and communicated with us throughout the stay, giving us total peace of mind. Our dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly bonded with her. We would absolutely trust Vienna with our dogs again in a heartbeat!”

“Felicia was great! Able to come by with very short notice. Sent photos and videos of my boy while she was watching him. Had no problems handling him. Will definitely use again when needed!”

About: Hi! My name is Canyon, and I’m a recent college graduate working a hybrid corporate job, which gives me the flexibility to provide dependable pet care throughout the week. I’ve always been an animal lover and have both a dog and a cat of my own, so I know how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pets. I’ll treat them like they’re part of my own family. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! I work a full-time hybrid job, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets! I work remotely on Thursdays and Fridays, making me available for more frequent visits and flexible scheduling on those days. On Mondays through Wednesdays, I’m available after 6:00 PM for pet care. I’ll always communicate clearly, be punctual, and make sure your pets get the attention and care they deserve! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I understand the trust that comes with caring for a beloved family member, and I’ll treat your pets and home with the same respect and care I would my own.

About: Animals have always been close to my heart, and I’ve had experience caring for both dogs and cats. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I focus on providing gentle, dependable care, attention, playtime, and a safe, caring environment. I work from home, which gives me flexibility to provide attentive care, companionship, potty breaks, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day. I’m available during evenings, weekends, and flexible hours depending on your pet’s needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my priority. Since I work from home, I’m able to provide close attention, companionship, and regular check-ins throughout the day. I follow each pet’s routine and care instructions carefully, and I’m happy to send updates and photos for peace of mind.

About: I have had over 30 years of experience with a variety of pets. I worked in a family run pet store during high school and college, spent many years as a vet tech and have owned cats, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles and numerous other small animals over the years. Finding someone to care for your smaller animals can be challenging, so I am hoping to be able to provide that service to my community. I currently work full time from home but have incredible flexibility with no strict work hours. I tend to be a very early morning person (up at 4am to exercise) and early to bed by 9pm. I understand the importance of keeping your pets in the same routine as you would if you were not away so I will do my best to be flexible. Cats need fresh food, water and litter box cleaning daily, and even multiple times daily depending on the situation. I am also able to give medications (orally, injections, etc.). And of course, if your cat bonds with me, I'm happy to hang out and give him/her some love. I also realize some cats may not take well to strangers and having volunteered at Furkids, I know it may take a lot of patience and time to build that bond.

We are so happy with Serena and her care of our kitties! She seemed to really care about their wellbeing and sent us detailed updates after each visit. She also has a knack for taking adorable photos of animals - I was seriously impressed by her photography skills. I would gladly have her watch my cats again in the future.

Natalie took good care of our girls (2dogs and 1cat) while we were out of town for part of a week. We really appreciated her photos and comments that helped us stay “in touch” with them while we were gone! She also got back with me promptly when I had a question or two for her. :-)

Michelle took great care of our cat, Una, while we were away. She sent photos and thoughtful updates after each visit and kept us informed about food, litter, and how Una was doing. It was obvious she spent time with Una and gave her plenty of attention. We felt completely comfortable knowing Una was in good hands and would definitely book Michelle again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
