“Liam was great! He came over twice a day to feed and medicate our two cats. They have very different but picky personalities, and he did great with both of them by taking his lead from them. He even saved one of them when they got themselves stuck under the bed! Liam was communicative and took plenty of pictures. Highly recommend!”

“Haylee is hands down the best person. It’s so nice to be able to leave town and know that our fur babies are not only cared for, but adored. Haylee is so kind, reliable, responsive and just overall perfect.”

About: I’ve got a lot of experience with pets, starting with my own two pitbulls Cush and Brady! They’ve taught me so much about patience and understanding different dog personalities. I’ve also cared for both dogs and cats over the years, I’ve watched both old and younger pets. I know how to keep animals happy, comfortable, and safe, no matter their age or temperament. I am available pretty much everyday of the week! I am available almost every day of July, and can definitely find time to watch your pet in the morning, afternoon, or evening! When I’m caring for pets, their safety and comfort come first. I make sure the space is clean, secure, and set up to keep them happy and relaxed. I treat every pet like they’re my own, giving them plenty of care and attention. I also keep owners updated so they can feel confident their pets are in good hands.
“I was so pleased with Michelle taking care of my cats. She was helpful and wonderful to work with. She helped clean up when one was sick, she gave meds, offered and brought my mail in. I highly recommend Michelle and will use her in the future for my cats.”

“Lizette was amazing! This was our first time having someone new watch our cats while out of town. Lizette was fantastic at asking all the right questions to make sure she was up on the routine. She loved on them, snuggled them and made sure they were well cared for! So happy to have Lizette as a contact to love and care for our girls when we are out of town :) Highly recommend!”

“Natalie took good care of our girls (2dogs and 1cat) while we were out of town for part of a week. We really appreciated her photos and comments that helped us stay “in touch” with them while we were gone! She also got back with me promptly when I had a question or two for her. :-)”

“Elizabeth was fabulous with puppy Scout! She ensured that scout was taken care of on his puppy breaks and provided pictures and updates. I would highly recommend and I look forward to booking her in the future!! 💛”

About: Hi, I’m Theresa! ! I have over 10 years of experience caring for pets of all kinds—including dogs, cats, and even birds. Before finding out about rover, I have pet sat for family and friends since I was a teenager. I specialize in giving extra love and attention to elderly pets who may need a little more patience and gentle care. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime visits, or overnight stays in your home, I make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I know how important it is to keep up with routines, medications, and those little details that make each pet unique. I currently only take one dog/cat at a time, unless they are from the same family. This is perfect for dogs/cats who may not get along with others or needs a little care and attention. I currently work a hybrid job and have lots of time for walks and cuddles when working from home. Also available for weekends when you want to get away on a little vacation. On walks, I go at their pace, give them fresh water, and plenty of attention. During visits, I handle food, water, litter/potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles. I’m also gentle and patient with senior pets, keeping them on their routine and giving them extra care.

“Felicia was awesome! We just needed someone to watch our cat while we were away for a few days. She was super communicative and great with our elderly, persnickety cat! She stopped by two times daily, and took lots of photos and kept me up to date with every little detail. Highly recommended! Thank you, Felicia! :)”
“Stacey went above and beyond in her care for my little Benji! I can’t recommend her enough. She made my trip way completely worry-less because I knew he was in good hands. She’s the best pet sitter around!!”

About: Hi! My name is Canyon, and I’m a recent college graduate working a hybrid corporate job, which gives me the flexibility to provide dependable pet care throughout the week. I’ve always been an animal lover and have both a dog and a cat of my own, so I know how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pets. I’ll treat them like they’re part of my own family. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! I work a full-time hybrid job, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets! I work remotely on Thursdays and Fridays, making me available for more frequent visits and flexible scheduling on those days. On Mondays through Wednesdays, I’m available after 6:00 PM for pet care. I’ll always communicate clearly, be punctual, and make sure your pets get the attention and care they deserve! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I understand the trust that comes with caring for a beloved family member, and I’ll treat your pets and home with the same respect and care I would my own.

“Madison was absolutely wonderful! This was our first time using a pet sitter and the experience was great. Chewy is a nervous little boy and through the pictures Madison sent we could see his progress daily. By the end of the week he looked just as happy to see her as he does us. 100% recommend!!!”

About: I have lived in a home with 1-2 dogs at a time for most of my life, starting when I was in preschool. Almost all of my friends and family have either dogs or cats, sometimes both, and I have also done a lot of pet sitting for them over the years. I have experience with large and small dog breeds, a few different cat breeds, and also some experience with farm animals. I do my best to stick to any routines or training, either actively ongoing or already in place, so knowing any pet’s specific command words or motions is helpful. I also have experience with almost all stages of life, other than fresh newborn baby dogs to eight weeks of age. I love animals, and treat each one under my care in any situation as if they were my own. My current schedule is fairly open as I am taking some online classes while I pivot in my career, so there is plenty of time for your fur babies to be loved on. My daily routine is fairly flexible and can be adjusted around a pet’s schedule who is under my care. My priority is the safety and care of your pet and your home. I am extremely respectful of people’s privacy and property so there would be no snooping, nor any crazy messes left behind. There would also be no one brought into your home not cleared to be there. House rules will be respected- like no dogs on the couch, no cats on the counter, don’t feed gremlins after midnight etc. I clean up after myself, bring my own food/snacks for overnights, and make sure the home is locked up tight whether or not I am there. I can care for plants as well- but need specifics as I do not have a green thumb. If your pet is used to having company almost 24/7, I will do my best to accommodate that. I am happy to sit curled up with your dog or cat and read or do my course work throughout the day/ night and have no problems co sleeping with your pet if they’re used to sleeping in bed with you. If they’re used to sleeping in their crate, that is easily doable as well.

“First of all, Fred loves Michele!! Secondly, we do too. We felt so comfortable leaving our son with Michele after the first visit and we will definitely use her services again and again. Fred’s a fan as are we. Anyone looking at Rover in our area should get to know Michele, a true fan of our four legged family members. She’s super nice, trustworthy and energetic. Five stars across the board!”

About: Hi! I’m Emma, an experienced animal lover with 5+ years of trusted pet sitting experience and a background in veterinary medicine and pet care. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and other pets for neighbors and families for years, handling everything from daily walks and feeding to medications and personalized care. I also have experience working with puppies and senior dogs, so I understand the extra patience, attention, and care they may need. Along with pet sitting, I have over a year of veterinary experience, which means I’m comfortable recognizing signs of illness, administering basic care, and making sure your pet stays happy and healthy. I’ve also worked at a pet daycare, giving me hands-on experience managing dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels in both group and one-on-one settings. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or just a calm and reliable routine, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets, and I treat every animal like they’re my own! I’m home from college and will be in town all summer, which gives me a very flexible schedule for pet care throughout the week. I’m able to plan my days around visits, walks, feeding schedules, and spending quality time with pets to make sure they get the attention and care they need. I always prioritize keeping pets safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine while you’re away. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions for feeding schedules, walks, medications, crating, and any other specific care needs.

Michelle took great care of our cat, Una, while we were away. She sent photos and thoughtful updates after each visit and kept us informed about food, litter, and how Una was doing. It was obvious she spent time with Una and gave her plenty of attention. We felt completely comfortable knowing Una was in good hands and would definitely book Michelle again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
