Dog Boarders Providing Bed Space!

SORRY I AM UNABLE TO ACCEPT ANY NEW BOOKINGS AT THIS TIME. NOTE: A few guests have not wanted to go home with their owners. They love it here--it's their vacation, too! :-) Your doggy becomes part of our family and gets family treatment. Most of our furry guests get bed space. Sometimes we spread out to 2 beds! :-) Also, drop offs and pickup times are mainly* up to you! PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING: --First time guests will only be allowed a short stay of 2 nights. --Dogs need to be at least 2 years old. --Senior dogs need to be able to hear, not be incontinent, and use stairs. Age limit is 12. --I cannot accept Boarding drop-offs on Saturdays* until late afternoon or evening. --NO Beagles, Jack Russell Terriers, or Bulldogs --Make sure you aren't confusing me with the other local Michelle. I'm the one off Buford Dam. ;-) ***** ABOUT ME I started boarding professionally in May 2021, but have taken care of friends dogs for years. I was a dog Mom for 30+ years. (Our Charlie passed away Jan 2025.) My husband and I never had human children--dogs are enough for us and they are naturally drawn to us. :-) My husband often gets attached to our beloved guests. :-) He remembers their names and puts their photos on our wall! He's also the one who plays with them. I am almost always here and rarely go out of town. I've been doing freelance graphic design from home for 20+ years, but boarding is now my primary focus. Leaving your pet with someone new can be a very stressful and scary thing. I do everything I can to acclimate them as soon as possible and put owners at ease. Your dog will have my undivided attention with one-on-one care. We prefer not to have more than 3 dogs at a time, but holidays and school breaks tend to get us overbooked. We have a hard time turning down our long-time, beloved guests! We live on a quiet street at the end of a cul-de-sac. We can't wait to meet you and your precious fur child. I promise your dog will love it here and likely bond with the other guests! We have some dogs who have refused to go home. LOL! :-)

Michelle is the very best! Our dog loves her and is always happy to go there. When we got our second dog, she very happily accepted to take care of him as well. She always makes sure they are well loved and taken care of.

Michelle is the best! I am so happy to have found her. I’m also a bit anxious when leaving my dog, and I could tell Ollie was as happy as could be in Michelle’s care! From the beginning she was responsive, kind, and I could tell she truly loves the dogs in her care. She sent plenty of updates and Ollie came home happy and went straight to sleep, he clearly had the best time!!

I highly recommend Michelle! I have a timid little girl whom I have never had to leave in the care of a stranger before. Since family are no longer able to help, I have been searching for a trusted caregiver to keep my mind at ease while I travel knowing my girl would be safe, loved and cared for. Michelle is that lady! She communicated with pictures and updates throughout her stay. I am so thankful I found her!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

Dogs are my world. I am a freelance graphic designer (part-time) and have the luxury of working from home, so we are usually all in the same room hanging out all day.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

We have 2 fenced in yards. Some dogs prefer the back and some don't. My husband works from home a couple of times a week and can also provide care. I don't often leave the house unless he is here. If we both have to be out--not more than 2 hours--we keep tabs on everyone through our web cam.

A typical day

Mainly we just chillax in front of the window or in the living room. There are many trips to the yard. It's always fun when the dogs play together. I have a large basket of toys, too! And of course, I will send you as many photos as you'd like throughout the day for your peace-of-mind! Sometimes I send short videos, too.

Your fur child will be pretty spoiled here with my dedicated attention. We'll need to discuss any behavioral or dietary issues and whatever else you want to me to know. PLEASE BRING TREATS FOR THE STAY.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
