“Sarah was great!!! She watched our dog for the first time today, and we will definitely be rebooking. She was very communicative and took great care of our girl! Our dog absolutely loved her! Today we only needed care for one of our dogs, but she previously did a meet and greet with our other dog who is extremely scared and skittish around new people. Sarah was amazing with her too and made out scared pup so much more comfortable. We highly recommend Sarah and will definitely be booking her again!”

About: I’ve owned dogs since I was a little girl, and have since developed a deep-rooted passion for veterinary medicine! I’ve worked for a mobile vet clinic, where we worked with canines and felines to administer vaccinations and offer flea and tick prevention. I also had the honor of working for a large dog park in Atlanta, where we had hundreds of adorable pups come through - many of whom were regulars and who I got to know super well! I’m currently a full-time college student, but I have free availability during the summer and would love to meet you and your fur babies! My weekends are also usually wide-open. I am more than happy to drop in to visit your precious fur babies and get their bodies moving for some fun walks! A little heads up (3+ days) and I should be able to make mostly anything work for your sweet angels! I am more than happy to work around any and all feed schedules, treats, medication administration, specific walk times or lengths, and any areas of concern for your dog or cat. I am very detail-oriented, so anything that you give me will be taken into great care for your fur baby!
“Russell was incredibly attentive and communicative while taking care of our cats! He took pictures at each visit and kept us up to date on what was happening with them. I would highly recommend his services!”

“Cheyenne updated me on everything about both my animals and took care of them exactly how I wanted. To what I had seen in pictures my animals absolutely loved her and ended up becoming extremely comfortable with her!”

“Taryn is wonderful-responsible & caring to both our pets and us. She stays in touch, keeping us informed and feeling confident that our home and animals were in the best of care. When we are in need of services, I first reach out to Taryn to see if she is available. I highly recommend!”

About: I grew up with all kinds of animals and took care of them when sick or when family or friends were away. I can continue training if needed. I love to take care of fur babies. I can confidently say when you get home your fur babies will be happy! I am a caregiver for the elderly with dementia my schedule varies but tends to be midday up to 5 days a week 4-5 hour shifts. I can adapt to any set of rules you may have for your pets to help them be more comfortable and feel safe while in my care.

“Jaden was amazing with my dogs. Taking care of them is definitely not easy, and he showed so much patience, dedication, and willingness to make sure they were well cared for. This was the first time I had ever left my dogs with someone else, so I was a little nervous, but Jaden gave me complete peace of mind throughout the entire experience. Thank you so much for everything. I’m truly grateful for the excellent care you provided, and I would absolutely trust you with my dogs again in the future.”

About: I've been a dog owner my entire life, and caring for animals has always been a part of who I am. Every dog has their own personality and routine, and I enjoy taking the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. One of the most meaningful parts of my experience has been caring for senior dogs and providing compassionate end-of-life care. I understand how important patience, consistency, and gentle attention are during every stage of a dog's life. Whether your pet needs medication, a slower-paced walk, extra cuddles, or simply someone to keep them company, I'm happy to provide the care they deserve. I value responsibility, communication, and attention to detail, and I'll care for your pet with the same dedication I bring to every commitment. My goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your dog feels happy, safe, and cared for. I truly love spending time with animals and am excited for the opportunity to give back to my community by helping local families care for their beloved pets. As a Ph.D. student, I have a flexible schedule and set my own working hours. Most of my research and academic work can be completed remotely, which allows me to spend a significant amount of time at home. I typically go into the lab for only a few hours each day and live very close to my workplace, so I often come home during lunch as well. This flexibility means your dog won't be left alone for long periods of time. I'll have plenty of opportunities throughout the day to provide companionship, playtime, and attention. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, games of fetch, cuddling on the couch, or simply having someone nearby, I'll make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I can also provide regular potty breaks, outdoor exercise, and enrichment activities to keep your dog happy and engaged. My goal is to maintain your pet's normal routine as much as possible while giving them the love, attention, and care they deserve. When caring for pets in my home, I do everything I can to help them feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, medications, and any special needs, so they can maintain a sense of familiarity while you're away. Throughout the day, your dog will receive plenty of attention, playtime, enrichment, and affection. My home has a securely fenced yard where dogs can safely explore, play, and enjoy frequent potty breaks. I also live near a park, making it easy to provide longer walks, fresh air, and extra exercise for dogs who enjoy getting out and exploring. I share my home with two friendly, well-socialized cats who are comfortable around dogs. They are calm, respectful of other animals, and have experience living alongside canine visitors. If your dog enjoys feline company, they'll have friendly companions, and if they prefer their own space, I'm happy to provide separate areas so everyone feels safe and comfortable. Above all, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I'll provide regular updates and photos while you're away, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, loved, and receiving the best possible care.

About: I don't have any professional experience, but I've grown up in a family that has housed a lot of dogs and cats since I was born. We've had 4 dogs and 7 cats from my early childhood until today, so while I did obviously have the rest of my family to assist with them, I've still had firsthand experience with a lot of different behaviors and habits of these pets and how certain traits or preferences vary between them. I finished college at UGA recently, so I'm currently at home full-time. Pet care would be pretty easy to fit into my weekly schedule. I always try to make sure I feed my cat her treats once a day around the same time, so consistent feeding and cleaning wouldn't be that much harder with additional pets. I am gone some evenings on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, but other than that my time is fully open to help your pets stay relaxed, happy, and healthy. My backyard has a fence, but it's currently old and unrepaired, so the gates cannot close properly, so any pets prone to running will be staying inside or on a leash. My house is very small, but my front and backyard are very spacious, ideal for pets that are uncomfortable in small spaces. My cat can be skittish around other animals, so I will need to keep her in a separate space from them, but my family's done that with many of our cats, so it will not be a problem for the client or their pets. My roommate stays inside most of the time, so but he's also very friendly and should not pose any issues for the pets.

About: As a first-year veterinary student, I provide reliable, compassionate care tailored to each pet's needs. I'm comfortable caring for dogs, cats, and other small animals, including administering oral medications and following detailed care instructions. Whether your pet is young, senior, energetic, or shy, I'll treat them like family and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I’m starting my first year of vet school, so my schedule is busy, but I’m flexible with pet care visits! I’m happy to do early morning drop-ins before class and afternoon/evening visits after class to give your pets the care and attention they need. I will provide care in your pet’s home so they can stay comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routine. I’ll follow your instructions closely for feeding, medications, walks, playtime, and any special needs your pet may have.

About: I have worked at vet clinics and at barns so I have diverse experiences to handle animals. I also have had pets my whole life. I recently moved to athens to start vet school. Since it is the summer I am a free book and have time all day to watch your baby. I have a townhouse with a dog park to take your baby out. I also have a spacious living room where we can play and cuddle. In your home, I will respect your schedule and follow it to a tee.
About: I bring dedication and genuine love to every pet I care for. I will be focused on creating a safe, fun, and comfortable experience for all pets! I will be living in Athens GA for the month of June and the fall semester starting in September. I am available on weekdays and limited weekends. I create safe, comfortable environments, follow instructions carefully, and maintain clear communication to ensure every pet feels secure, loved, and well cared for at all times.
“Ella did a fantastic job coming to our home to watch our cats for a week. She followed all instructions perfectly, sent us plenty of pictures and videos of our cats, and even went above and beyond when we had a bit of an issue with our water fountain. Will definitely be using her again!”

“Catherine was great! Dogs really really liked her and she was great at communicating and sending pictures throughout the weekend. Will definitely hire her again if she is available!!!”

About: I own an energetic and loving Australian Shepherd mix. I have taken care of several dogs in the past. This included walking/feeding/sitting with the dogs. I absolutely love walking dogs! I know how hard it is to take care of your pet with a busy schedule, so I can help by taking care of your furry friend! I work 3-4 days a week and have a pretty flexible schedule. My schedule varies week to week, so I should be able to work with you to take care of your dog! I will walk your dog and help them get plenty of exercise. If you have a fenced in backyard, I will let them run around and play. I will give your doggos all the pets and snuggles. You will get lots of pictures of your dog having a great time!
“kathryn was so great with mitsi! she left me a detailed review of their time together (two walks in one day) and mitsi looked super happy in the photos. i’ll definitely be reaching out to kathryn in the future for times i need care for mitsi!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
