“My dogs adore them, and we are very happy to have found them. They are the best when it comes to caring for my dogs; the truth is that my dogs are in the very best hands.”

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs of my own and those belonging to friends and family for years. I have no problem feeding, exercising, playing with, and cleaning up after cats and dogs. I also have experience dispensing medicine and caring for sick cats and dogs. I’m currently working part time, but I should have lots of time off this upcoming month (July/August). I can pet sit on busy days as long as owner is comfortable with me possibly leaving for hours at a time. In my home, I like to keep my cat inside. My back yard is fenced in for our dog. I try my best to keep the house clean and orderly to avoid any potential danger for my pets, and would do the same for yours. For walking, leashes are always a must.

“I have three cats, and one of them still requires special care. Ilana was wonderful, honest, and incredibly caring with all of them. I left them in her care for four days, and she was always willing to help and went above and beyond. I truly recommend her, and if I ever need a pet sitter again, I won’t hesitate to contact her.”

“Really enjoyed Samantha dog sitting for me. She was on time an always communicated when leaving and coming. Sent photos of the dogs. Would highly recommend her for dog sitting again.”

“It was the first time I hired a pet sitter. Lauren was really great, she reassured me and answered all my questions. She followed all the necessary instructions, and also played with my cat. Every time she was visiting she sent me two photos of my cat and a brief description of the day. I'm got more than I expected. We managed to spend our holidays without constantly worrying about our little fur baby.”

“Cannot adequately express how wonderful they were! Our dogs were cared for so well. Communication was easy, and they were very flexible over the week. I will absolutely book with them again.”

“Michele did a wonderful job looking after our ferrets. We have a unique situation where one is super hyper and needs to burn off a ton of extra energy and the other one is older, laid back and just needs to stretch out and lounge. She made sure both got exactly what they needed. We came home to two happy fuzzies with spotless cages, fresh water and full food bowls. We’d definitely recommend her. She’s a great pet sitter!”
“Prana was amazing as always! We had to change the booking dates around, she was extremely flexible and accommodating in the date changes. The cats enjoyed seeing her again!”

About: I've taken care of dogs all my life, I've owned a Yorkie and Lab/Pit Mix from puppy to senior. I now have a kitten named Sushi and she's very desensitized to other dogs and very curious of all life. I have often helped friends and family take care of their pets whenever they're not around and I'd love to do the same for you and your furry family members. I'm currently working part time so I have so much time on my hands to play, walk, and spoil your dog for around 4 hours a day. The customer is always right, and however your pet needs to be taken care of is exactly how they will be attended to. If dog walking, I like to have multiple leashes on me just in case it breaks. If I'm checking in daily I would try to come by as much as possible and stay for a while to play.
About: I’ve owned dogs since I was a little girl, and have since developed a deep-rooted passion for veterinary medicine! I’ve worked for a mobile vet clinic, where we worked with canines and felines to administer vaccinations and offer flea and tick prevention. I also had the honor of working for a large dog park in Atlanta, where we had hundreds of adorable pups come through - many of whom were regulars and who I got to know super well! I’m currently a full-time college student, but I have free availability during the summer and would love to meet you and your fur babies! My weekends are also usually wide-open. I am more than happy to drop in to visit your precious fur babies and get their bodies moving for some fun walks! A little heads up (3+ days) and I should be able to make mostly anything work for your sweet angels! I am more than happy to work around any and all feed schedules, treats, medication administration, specific walk times or lengths, and any areas of concern for your dog or cat. I am very detail-oriented, so anything that you give me will be taken into great care for your fur baby!
About: I've got multiple years of experience handling a highly anxious dog that can be dog selective during high stress situations. I was the one primarily training my family's two dogs, as well as the one taking them out on as many walks as I was able. I have multiple years worth of experience with senior dogs that had arthritis and who needed to have their food prepped especially for easier eating. I'm currently a student at the University of Georgia and currently looking into part time summer positions, however my schedule is very flexible with daily check-ins and overnight stays during both the week and weekend are very doable. During check-ins, outside of ensuring food and water are available, I would make sure to spend time playing and hanging out with any dog and if I have time to take them on a walk I will. For overnights, I would do the same thing with the only difference being the amount of time I'd be able to spend with the dog.

About: I have been house and dog/pet sitting for the past 5 years and adore working with animals! I am happy to help with pets who are more active and pets who just need someone to give them attention and be a comforting presence. I work with pets of all sizes and have lots of experience with senior pets who need more medical attention- This experience includes giving shots, pills, and applying topical medication! I'm currently working part time so I have plenty of time to take care and play with your fur babies! I have a flexible schedule when it comes to fitting in walks and check-ins, I am usually working on weekend mornings and afternoons, but usually only for 4-6 hours at a time! I am currently unable to take care of your pets in my home due to a dog of my own who gets stressed around new animals! I can care for your pets in whatever ways they need, whether it be giving them oodles of attention, talking or singing to them, or simply just be in the room with them as a safe presence to ease yours and their minds!

About: All my life I have had a dog; ranging from Jack Russell terriers to Australian shepherds. I have worked on a dog kennel ranch in Southern California for 4 years. I hope to be able to give your dog a home away from home or that much needed break on a long walk. I have the patience, space and flexibility to accommodate big and small dogs.I have the availbility for short terms or long term stays. I have a dog of my own a young male Texas heeler; please have shots updated for all dogs and let me know if they get along with other dogs. Thank you and can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies in the near future. Currently, I have a hybrid work schedule which allows me to be home 3 days a week full time. I have a dog of my own that is high energy and loves other dogs. Lots of play Clean up the house everyday Bathe the dog, if needed Lots of love Treats and basic training Lots of Snuggles and Cuddles
“Calvin joined our family about a month ago- my dog Charlie, as well as son Sidney, and I have all grown accustomed to and enthusiastically welcome Calvin's presence in our home. Charlie looks delighted every time Calvin comes over, and the pics he sends to me of he and Charlie playing brings a smile to my face knowing that even though I can't be there myself all of the time to play, I find comfort knowing that Charlie has grown to love Calvin in my absence. And...the fact that Calvin served in the US Army is an additional bonus, as I know he understands the importance of responsibility as well as accountability.”

About: Beyond the care for my own personal doggies, I have 5 years of experience working at a premier doggy day care and boarding facility, Camp Bow Wow. Here, I cared for many dogs at once all varying in breeds, size and ages. I was responsible for supervising play time, feeding, administering medications, basic grooming and cleaning. I have also had experience with my own personal pet care boarding service out of my home where I have mostly cared for dogs in my home but have house/farm sat for clients. I'm currently in veterinary school so my schedule can be sparse at times. I am available on the weekends as well as Wednesday mornings with the potential for some afternoon care the rest of the week days. I care for others pets just as I would my own. When I care for pets in their own home, I love and care for them just as I would mine and uphold any special request the owners leave for me. I like to send photos and precise updates to owners while caring for their pets. I can relate to the desire to hear from a pet sitter since I have my own!
About: On top of personally having several pets since I was a child, I have also volunteered at local Animal Shelters during my spare time. It is fun spending time with pets of all types and bring joy to my life! I have worked from home for the last 5 years. This makes it extremely convenient to take pups out for a walk and also spend time with them during the day. I always ensure food and water bowls are filled on schedule or as needed per pup. I know how nerve wracking it can be worrying if doors were locked or crates shut all the way so I ensure these are secure before leaving the home.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
