“Bobby was very friendly to us and our dog. He took great pictures of our dog on the walk. We felt comfortable leaving our dog in Bobby’s capable and caring hands! We’re grateful he could stop by in the middle of the day.”

About: Hi ✨ I’m a lifelong dog lover with years of experience—from high-energy athletes to seniors requiring a gentler pace. Having lived with a sassy Shih Tzu and a spry Goldendoodle, I’ve learned that every pet has distinct needs that require a patient, observant eye. I believe the best walks come from maintaining the consistency of your dog’s established outdoor routine. Whether it’s navigating a favorite neighborhood route, practicing consistent leash manners, or ensuring they get the specific physical engagement they need, I’ll care for your pup with the same devotion I’d give my own. I’m a Product Designer currently taking a career break, which means I have the unique advantage of a completely flexible schedule. I can offer consistent, reliable morning or midday walks to keep your furry friends happy and stress-free while you’re busy. My schedule is always up-to-date, so you can rest assured that when you see a green light on my calendar, I am truly available and ready to prioritize your pet’s routine. I’m happy to stick to your pup's favorite neighborhood routes or head to a nearby local park if they prefer a bit more open space for their stroll. I’m an active walker and love ensuring they get the specific physical engagement they need to come home happy and exercised.
“So grateful to find Shannon in a pinch today. She was so awesome easy pick up easy drop off and I seem to like rocket loved her.. would definitely book her again in the future”

About: I was raised as an animal lover in a home with two dogs, two cats, and one bearded dragon! My appreciation extends to creatures great and small -- I have performed some light farm-sitting. I have pet & house-sat since highschool and I feel comfortable and confident with: large dogs, reactive dogs, pets with special medication needs, and skittish or hostile cats. I want to make sure your pet is getting the care they need from me; I can give pets and comfort to a senior kitty, or make sure your pup has sniffed everything in a one mile radius! I'm currently working part time and I should have flexible availability for what service you're looking for. Please feel free to message me about any specifics you have questions about! I want to ensure your pet's routine stays as close to usual as possible so they are happy and healthy! When I've cared for reactive dogs, I did my best to walk routes that avoided potential triggers. To follow medication schedules, I will try my hardest to trick even the most suspicious pet into taking their medicine. I will take care of your pet as you'd like me to!
“Byron has started taking my pointer on weekly walks and is the best! He’s prompt, easy to communicate with, and clearly loves being around dogs. Plus, my pup always comes back happy AND tired. Thank you!!”

About: Hi! I’m Olivia! I am new to Rover, but have grown up helping my family care for both dogs and cats! I have experience volunteering at my hometowns humane society! I currently have a kitten of my own, but I adore both dogs and cats! I would love to get to know your animals and what the best care for them looks like! I offer both dog walking and drop ins for dogs and cats. Please reach out with any questions! I have flexible scheduling through the summer! During the school year I am in a masters program, but have scheduling around my classes! I want to be available during the best times for your families needs! I always want to make sure that everyone is safe and comfortable! I will be sure to always care for your pets and space with respect and to ensure that your pets are getting the care they need
“Michael was great with the energy of our big lab, and he was easy to plan and communicate with. We had a happy, nicely tired-out pup after their time together, which is JUST what we needed. Many thanks to Michael.”

About: I adore all animals, available for drop-ins, walks, and puppy play dates with my dog. I’m currently self-training a wonderful psychiatric service dog, Sobek (still in training). Together we have taken a large number of classes, passed the CGC, volunteered with Oregon Humane Training, canine PT, and had a whole lot of fun along the way. I am familiar with positive reenforcement, force free, settle training, crate training, socialization, clicker training, agility and capturing calm behaviors. I have experience with animals who have mild to moderate mobility issues, puppies, senior and special needs, safe stretching/activity monitoring, and reactive body language. *I am not a certified trainer* but I hope to be one day. I’m happy to answer any questions or assist you on your journey, teach your dog a thing or two, or point you to my many trusted local resources. Inclusivity, flexibility, and honesty are some of my main core values. I am honest about my availability, knowledge and conduct. I’m also a former pro photographer and bound to take many cute photos. They/them, queer/trans affirming. I work from home so I am flexible depending on my meetings. I am available late afternoons and evenings unless otherwise noted in my schedule. I’m fairly organized and pet-proof my own home. I always treat other’s homes as if they were my own, meaning I pack out what I pack in and respect the boundaries of humans and pets who live there.
About: (Please read my whole profile to make sure we are a good match! If you decide to request a booking, please provide the requested information about your dog, either on your Rover site or in your inquiry. Note: I provide the walk-only service exclusively in the Kenton neighborhood. Thank you!) I have owned dogs most of my life and spent my adolescence on a small family farm. I love dogsitting and live really near North Portland VCA should there ever be an emergency. If your dog is a good leash walker, they'll get at least two walks per day; otherwise, we'll see how it goes! There is opportunity for backyard play, but I depend on walking to ensure dogs get the movement they need. There are no pets in my house at this time, so as long as your dog gets along with people, the relationships should be OK! No chewers, please; I do not close crate doors. I am a retired teacher, so I am mostly home but do go out for a variety of reasons during the day or evening sometimes. I have a fenced yard and spend lots of time in it with dogs during decent weather. If your very big dog is non-reactive, I would love to host your very big dog. 🐶 (I do not board puppies but do walk puppies. Just please do not ask me to close the door on a crate.) Please ensure your dog is flea-free.
About: My husband and I have had many years of experience with dogs. We have a rescue that we adopted a year and half ago. While we can't afford a second dog right now we would love to have more in our home! My husband and I both work from home. I do go into the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but he is always here. We are available 7 days a week currently. Beyond that we’re both homebodies who love to take our dog on long walks around the neighborhood. I have a fenced in yard with locked gates and one 20 lb female rescue pup to keep your dog company. We allow dogs on the furniture/bed, but we can also crate your dog if preferred. Our home is a single story with no stairs. Dogs will never be left alone together for safety purposes and will never be in backyard unsupervised. We can accommodate frequent bathroom breaks, but your dog must be potty trained.
About: I grew up loving and caring for animals.. and eventually turned it into a career. I have since moved on to different passions, work-wise, but still prioritize spending as much of my free time around animals as I can. In addition to caring for pets for family and friends over the years, I was previously employed as a dog walker at Austin Pets Alive! animal shelter; I have years of experience working with dogs of all sizes, energies, and unique medical and behavioral needs. Let me love your pups! I currently work remotely and self-scheduled, so I am flexible to meet you and your animals’ needs! Feel free to reach out and I’m sure we can find something that works for all of us! My cats are spoiled now that I work from home, and they love the attention they get from me… and making appearances on video calls to steal attention from my coworkers, as well. Because one of my cats is FIV+, I am careful which animals come into my own home. However, should I visit your home, I understand that I am responsible for maintaining a positive and professional relationship by staying animal-focused in your home.
About: Newly retired and available to care for your fur baby in my home or yours. I know how important it is for pet parents to know that their babies are safe and well-cared for when they cannot be with them. I have had dogs and cats my entire life. I've raised puppies and kittens and cared for senior pets. I have experience administering medications orally and injections. Come stay in our adult-only, quiet home. Our resident pup, Cash, loves other dogs. He is happy to share his fully fenced back yard, toys and treats. I am newly retired. That means I have the time to watch your pup or make drop in visits. I can keep your pup during the day and for overnight boarding in my home. Free time means I can manage any kind of walking or potty break schedule as needed. I can also reinforce any training for young or old pups while in my care. We have an adult household with one dog. Our dog is a wonderful host pup. He loves dogs and is not worried about sharing his space, toys or treats. Our backyard is fully fenced. We live in a very walkable area near parks. We have gates and crates on site so you won't have to bring those items.
“Phoebe did an amazing job with my husky and Great Pyrenees, who can both be difficult. I was anxious to ask for help but Phoebe was so kind, patient and attentive. She relieved me of so much stress and took phenomenal care of my pups. I would highly recommend her to everyone!”

“Annika is fantastic. Our dog Wray, who suffers from separation anxiety, loves her and has stopped having accidents in the house since Annika has been walking her. She is extremely reliable and kind. Highly recommend!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Arbor Lodge
Scout loves Mathew! And she doesn't warm up to strangers easily. He asked thoughtful, detailed questions when we first met that demonstrated he was highly experienced and proactive. I'm grateful I found him and strongly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable, experience help.

We couldn't be happier with the care our pets received! Yana took amazing care of our two dogs and our African Grey parrot for four days while we were away. We received regular updates and photos and it was obvious that my pets were loved, well cared for, and comfortable the entire time. I would highly recommend Yana to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable pet sitter. We'll definitely be booking again.
