“Bobby has provided mid-afternoon walks for my two dogs for several months and I could not be happier working with him. He's super nice, prompt in his message responsiveness, communicative about issues with the dogs, and has consistently provided excellent care for Fernando and Dolly. The dogs both adore him and it's clear they enjoy their time with Bobby. I enthusiastically recommend him for any and all dog care services!”

“We've recognized Alexander for being a St Johns dog guy for a long time, and coincidentally saw him on our walk before our scheduled walk. Both my dogs liked him and we look forward to seeing him again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with multiple dogs in the house at all points. Through middle and high school I walked dogs and did home visits/drop-ins for neighbors. I’m working part-time as a climbing coach and substitute teacher. I recently graduated with my master’s! I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule! I live in a house that is two stories. We have a fenced in yard, suitable for a dog. Im in walking distance (5-10 minutes) to two major Portland parks, which both have dog parks.

About: Hi! I'm Mackenzie, a lifelong animal lover and current Husky owner with experience caring for dogs of all sizes, from Chihuahuas to Huskies and German Shepherds. My own Husky is high-energy and reactive, so I'm very comfortable with dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. I regularly take him on walks, runs, hikes, and other adventures, and I'm experienced in safely navigating busy areas and managing encounters with other dogs. I also have experience dog sitting and administering oral medications to picky pups. I'm patient, attentive, and dependable, and I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pet. I'm happy to provide walks, playtime, companionship, and cat care too! I raised my Husky from a puppy, so have experience with potty training and maintaining a healthy routine. I have experience house sitting for senior dogs, young at heart but requiring a bit more tender care. I'm currently in-between full time careers, so have plenty of time to care for and bond with your pups! I'm available for overnight dog sitting any day of the week with advance notice. Please reach out if you are interested in working with me, I'd be happy to meet your needs for a stress-free time away. I will care for your pet in your home by carefully following instructions provided. I know how important regular updates are to pet parents, and will provide photos and updates for you. I will not take dogs to dog parks. Dogs will remain leashed while on walks.
About: I have been the go-to sitter for friends and family for over ten years and recently started taking clients through TrustedHousesitters. I have experience caring for both cats and dogs of varying temperaments and can accommodate a range of special needs, from senior pets to administering medication. I'm comfortable managing feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and keeping homes clean, tidy, and secure while owners are away. I'm calm, respectful, and attentive, and I love to keep pets happy, comfortable, and settled in their usual routines while their owners are traveling. Pet care fits easily into my schedule - I work part time, so I have plenty of flexibility for walks, feeding, playtime, and anything else they need. In the client’s home, I’m respectful and committed to keeping things clean, secure, and just as they left them, so pets stay safe and comfortable.
About: I believe great pet care starts with trust. I'm dependable, reliable, and patient, and I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. I take the time to make pets feel safe and comfortable while giving them the attention and care they deserve. Before pursuing pet sitting, I worked remotely for an international dog rescue, which further strengthened my passion for animal welfare and deepened my understanding of responsible pet care. Being part of an organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs reinforced my commitment to animal well-being, and strengthened the qualities I bring to pet care — compassion, patience, reliability, and attention to detail. In the past, I volunteered with a local animal rescue where I primarily cared for cats. I currently volunteer with a rescue where I mostly help with dogs, as well as assisting at various fundraising events. I especially love meeting our supporters and their pets at these events. It’s heartwarming to see them enjoying these functions alongside their pets! Volunteering has reinforced my commitment to providing patient, compassionate, and reliable care, and I look forward to giving every pet the same attention and kindness I would want for my own. My schedule is currently very flexible, which means I have plenty of time to give your pup or kitty the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. Whether it's walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I'll be there to make sure they feel happy, safe, and loved while you're away. From my experience, I believe pets are happiest when they can stick to their normal routine, so I always follow each owner's care instructions closely. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or providing drop-in visits, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, fresh food and water, potty breaks, and lots of affection. I take the time to get to know each pet's unique personality and comfort level, whether they're energetic and playful or prefer a quieter, more relaxed environment. My goal is to help your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they're in reliable, compassionate hands. I'm also happy to provide updates and photos during each visit so you can see how your pet is doing!

About: I come from a very large family (7 sisters 3 brothers) and we grew up with dogs, cats and other animals my entire life. I’ve also had my own dogs and cats as an adult and do pet sitting for my mom and siblings Currently looking for employment so I have a lot of free time ( will update once that changes). Recently moved to Portland and don’t have any pets currently to take up my time. I follow client care instructions to the letter. I love taking walks and exploring the city so I’ll make sure your dog has been worked out if they have a lot of energy. Taking care of animals for so long I feel that I am very emotionally intelligent in how I interact with any pet.
About: I was raised as an animal lover in a home with two dogs, two cats, and one bearded dragon! My appreciation extends to creatures great and small -- I have performed some light farm-sitting. I have pet & house-sat since highschool and I feel comfortable and confident with: large dogs, reactive dogs, pets with special medication needs, and skittish or hostile cats. I want to make sure your pet is getting the care they need from me; I can give pets and comfort to a senior kitty, or make sure your pup has sniffed everything in a one mile radius! I'm currently working part time and I should have flexible availability for what service you're looking for. Please feel free to message me about any specifics you have questions about! I want to ensure your pet's routine stays as close to usual as possible so they are happy and healthy! When I've cared for reactive dogs, I did my best to walk routes that avoided potential triggers. To follow medication schedules, I will try my hardest to trick even the most suspicious pet into taking their medicine. I will take care of your pet as you'd like me to!
About: I grew up raising my two dogs, Nike and Sparky, since they were babies. Nike is a dachshund and Sparky is a little chunky chihuahua. They are both 11 years old. I also babysit my friend’s frenchie, Appa, when they go out of town. I currently work full-time, and am free in the evenings. I am also free during the weekends. I am pretty active and love to go on hikes and runs. I am a super outdoorsy person but can also be a couch potato. Although I don’t have a yard, I live in a super pet friendly neighborhood. I also currently don’t have pets and live in a calm friendly neighborhood.
“Michael was great with the energy of our big lab, and he was easy to plan and communicate with. We had a happy, nicely tired-out pup after their time together, which is JUST what we needed. Many thanks to Michael.”

About: As a former National Park Service employee of ten years I’m basically hardwired to love the outdoors and animals, and spending time with animals in the outdoors! I’ve pet sit cats and dogs of all sizes, ages, and abilities for friends, family, and coworkers. Having had both very old and anxious dogs, I’m familiar with the patience, attentiveness, and consistency needed to watch high needs pets and will always adapt my care to guarantee their comfort. As both a college student and an exercise enthusiast, I can fit the care of your pet seamlessly in with my everyday life - be it cuddling on the couch, hanging out in a shared space, throwing a ball, or going for hikes or light runs. When outdoors I always carry extra water and a dog bowl, and am closely tuned in to the needs of your pet to assure they are safe, comfortable, and having a great time. As a full-time college student I have very flexible availability, especially in the early morning, afternoons, and evening. This means I can check in often, and dedicate the best/coolest time of day to walks. As someone who grew up with hyper active and intelligent dogs, I understand that the anxiety that comes with human-pet separation is a two way street. To make sure both you and your pets have peace of mind, I will do my best to gather all necessary information from you about your pets needs, routines, preferences, behaviors, training level (judgement free - training is hard and dogs have a mind of their own), and physical capabilities. I will take notes during our conversation, closely follow all directions, and send you as many pet pics as you need!
About: I work remotely with a flexible schedule and I would love to walk your dogs or stop in for a pop by visit to get them some attention. I have had dogs my whole life, often watch friends' and family members' dogs and have over 10 years of experience with dogs all shapes and sizes. I work remotely and am available to take care of pets throughout the day. First thing in the morning I take pups out for a walk before breakfast and then again during lunch as well as in the evening for a wind down walk. As I am home for work there are many moments for play and going out in the backyard. I have a fenced yard and a dog friendly dog who is obsessed with fetch. We walk often to the park and have a nice fenced backyard to hang out in.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Arbor Lodge
Kimo is wonderful! He is kind, professional, and reliable. He does a great job of communicating quickly & working with last-minute changes when they come up. Most importantly, I feel like my pup is in good hands! He comes back happy & ready for a nap after his walks with Kimo, which is great to see for my high energy guy, who becomes anxious if he doesn’t have enough time mental & physical stimulation. Thank you, Kimo!!

Marie is wonderful, caring, and a great communicator! She was so patient with my pup, who is experiencing anxiety with our recent move. Marie went above & beyond to meet Heidi where she's at, to take the walk-intro slowly, and allow my pup space to feel comfortable. I so appreciate the 5 STAR CARE and consideration Marie offers and highly recommend her!
