About: I have always been told I have a special touch with animals. When you’re away you want more than a pet sitter, you want your best friend to get some quality time! I work Thursday/Friday & Sunday/Monday from 10-6:15. Besides that I’m fully available to give pets plenty of time, attention, and consistency. Caring for animals is something I genuinely love, which means I’m present, attentive, and happy to adjust my day around what each pet needs to feel comfortable and cared for. I provide attentive, reliable care by keeping your pet’s routine consistent and stress free. I’m great at following directions, and have a lot to offer when it comes to companionship, playtime, and a calm presence. For dog walks, I can accommodate your dog’s needs surrounding exercise, enrichment, and safety. I also send regular updates so you feel confident your pet is in good hands.

About: I've been taking care of pets for friends and family since I was old enough to pour kibble and fill water bowls! I grew up with two dogs, three cats, and friends and family with farms and ranches, giving me experience working with everything from lizards to horses. I love connecting with critters and ensuring their physical AND emotional needs stay a top priority. Experience includes: walks, structured playtime, behavioral observation and modification, photography, light grooming, medicine administration, and boarding. I work part-time with a lot of flexibility, and while I get time to interact with my friends' and neighbor's pets, I can always make time to add another set of paws to the mix. Typically, when providing care, I like to meet and greet in advance of whatever service--be it walks, check-ins, daycare, or overnights--to start off socializing with a particular pet on the right foot. I also ask for typical routines (including dietary particulars and medicine), off-limits areas and behaviors, as well as favorite toys, games, and treats! I always bring a few things to keep myself occupied in case of pets who like to do their own thing, but usually a lot of the time is spent directly supporting your companion through play, feeding, and snuggles!

Note: I provide the walk-only service exclusively in the Kenton neighborhood. Thank you!) I have owned dogs most of my life and spent my adolescence on a small family farm. I love dogsitting and live really near North Portland VCA should there ever be an emergency. If your dog is a good leash walker, they'll get at least two walks per day; otherwise, we'll see how it goes! There is opportunity for backyard play, but I depend on walking to ensure dogs get the movement they need. There are no pets in my house at this time, so as long as your dog gets along with people, the relationships should be OK! No chewers, please; I do not close crate doors. I am a retired teacher, so I am mostly home but do go out for a variety of reasons during the day or evening sometimes. I have a fenced yard and spend lots of time in it with dogs during decent weather. If your very big dog is non-reactive, I would love to host your very big dog. 🐶 (I do not board puppies but do walk puppies. Just please do not ask me to close the door on a crate.) Please ensure your dog is flea-free.

About: I have had pets my entire life, both dogs and cats, plus a few reptiles and fish along the way. I tend to be the ‘go-to’ friend who cares for pets when they go out of town. I have a gentle demeanor and try to meet your pet with whatever they need to feel safe and happy in the absence of their family. Finding comfort in knowing your pet is safe and cared for can be challenging and I would love to help ease some of that stress. I am a massage therapist with short and sweet work days, typically only gone for a few hrs at a time. With all this free time I would love to help care for your babes while you’re away. I currently have one dog, a mini Aussie, who loves being around dogs and could use a bestie to burn some energy with! We spend lots of time at dog parks, walks in the neighborhood, and snugs on the couch after a long day of running off the zoomies! I have a fenced backyard and plenty of toys to share! Our neighborhood is walking friendly, butted up to Columbia Park for a more relaxed walk if cars/people create some anxiety. I drive a Tacoma with a converted backseat made just for safe dog rides! About: I am an open and frequent communicator and I send multiple pet pics a day! I am also able to administer medication as needed and abide by a specific feeding schedule. My goal is to provide a comfortable and stress-free experience for both pet and owner alike 🧘‍♀️🐾 I have availability to go on walks after 5 pm. For house sitting, I am available in the morning before 9 am and again after 5 pm. Open availability on the weekends. Cleanliness of the home is a priority to me, alongside addressing the needs of the pet within it. I am also able to follow specific home instructions/preferences (no shoes, etc). About: As a dog owner of my own for 7 years and growing up with pets, I know how important it is to find someone who will care for your pets like they’re family. Thats me! I will care for your animals like they are my own and will always strive to give them a positive encounter. I have experience with senior dogs as well as puppies (around 3 weeks old and up). I know sometimes extra care is needed and will always prioritize their comfort and well being. Additionally, I am good with shy and/or skittish dogs and know how to help them feel safe while showing them I am trustworthy and gentle. My experience with cats is about 10 years. I am currently in school which helps my schedule be decently flexible. Most of my classes are online so I can be home with dogs the majority of the day! My dog, Sage, is a thriving child of divorce and is with her Dad until August. If your dog is staying with me, I have a fenced area in the condo units where I live. Condo is single story. There are several parks close by, including the Alberta Park Dog Off Leash Area which is not fenced. If you are comfortable and your dog has good recall to me, I can take your dog there, too. If they prefer to be leashed the whole time, other parks are close and we will have just as much fun! If I am picking your dog up to walk and return to your home, I will take the utmost care to be gentle and respectful of your animal and home. It can be strange for animals to have someone new in their space and I will make sure they know I am a safe person. If pet parents are amenable, I usually have small training treats I give my dog on walks and can do the same for your dog! I have experience ranging from very young puppies to senior dogs as well as post surgery care.
