I have been working with pet sitting/walking companies for many years now, and absolutely love this job. Not only does it give me freedom but also allows me to bond with and take care of pets of all kinds. I’ve taken on puppies and watched them grow, taken care of older dogs and cats and their needs. This work is deeply meaningful to me, and easily the funnest job I’ve ever taken on. Most of my reviews have been stellar and I’ve really appreciated the trust that people have given me in caring for their pets and their homes. You can trust me to follow directions and be attentive and focused on your pets, to be communicative, send pictures and become your pets best friend. I can give medicine and ointments to pets. I’m good with walking pullers and have had positive experience gaining the trust of dogs and cats who are anxious about their owners. I am very patient with shy and nervous pets. I took a year off and have come back to Rover refreshed and ready to take on new clients. I live in and work mainly in the Mississippi area but any part of the N, and western end of NE of Portland is easy for me to get around. I would love to travel further but one of the mistakes I made early on was taking too many clients in at once in too many different locations, so now I am focusing more on the quality I give to the pets closer in my area, to avoid being late or having to divide too much attention. This limits my availability somewhat but I’d prefer to have happy customers, happy pets, consistency and not be overworked. This is a gig job so what is paid into this is split with Rover. It’s a good job but it is close to minimum wage, when fees get taken out. The realistic rate of pay I receive, distance and limits on how many pets I take on a day are my only limitations on what I can do, and I will be communicative and open on my end to let you know.
