“Lena did a great job walking my sweet but reactive Cowpie. She gets so sad when I'm away and Lena was able to get her out the door and make it happen.”

“Shannon is very communicative and took the time to do a meet and greet. She also was mindful of the heat and even went out of her way to bring a package in for me. Thanks Shannon!”

“We've recognized Alexander for being a St Johns dog guy for a long time, and coincidentally saw him on our walk before our scheduled walk. Both my dogs liked him and we look forward to seeing him again!”

“Sarah is the best! Her communication is on point, what else could you aks for in a dog walker, and a doggie owner who treats her pup like her kiddo. :) Thank you Sarah for all you do to help make Lola's life better!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with multiple dogs in the house at all points. Through middle and high school I walked dogs and did home visits/drop-ins for neighbors. I’m working part-time as a climbing coach and substitute teacher. I recently graduated with my master’s! I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule! I live in a house that is two stories. We have a fenced in yard, suitable for a dog. Im in walking distance (5-10 minutes) to two major Portland parks, which both have dog parks.
About: I believe great pet care starts with trust. I'm dependable, reliable, and patient, and I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. I take the time to make pets feel safe and comfortable while giving them the attention and care they deserve. Before pursuing pet sitting, I worked remotely for an international dog rescue, which further strengthened my passion for animal welfare and deepened my understanding of responsible pet care. Being part of an organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs reinforced my commitment to animal well-being, and strengthened the qualities I bring to pet care — compassion, patience, reliability, and attention to detail. In the past, I volunteered with a local animal rescue where I primarily cared for cats. I currently volunteer with a rescue where I mostly help with dogs, as well as assisting at various fundraising events. I especially love meeting our supporters and their pets at these events. It’s heartwarming to see them enjoying these functions alongside their pets! Volunteering has reinforced my commitment to providing patient, compassionate, and reliable care, and I look forward to giving every pet the same attention and kindness I would want for my own. My schedule is currently very flexible, which means I have plenty of time to give your pup or kitty the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. Whether it's walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I'll be there to make sure they feel happy, safe, and loved while you're away. From my experience, I believe pets are happiest when they can stick to their normal routine, so I always follow each owner's care instructions closely. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or providing drop-in visits, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, fresh food and water, potty breaks, and lots of affection. I take the time to get to know each pet's unique personality and comfort level, whether they're energetic and playful or prefer a quieter, more relaxed environment. My goal is to help your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they're in reliable, compassionate hands. I'm also happy to provide updates and photos during each visit so you can see how your pet is doing!

About: I come from a very large family (7 sisters 3 brothers) and we grew up with dogs, cats and other animals my entire life. I’ve also had my own dogs and cats as an adult and do pet sitting for my mom and siblings Currently looking for employment so I have a lot of free time ( will update once that changes). Recently moved to Portland and don’t have any pets currently to take up my time. I follow client care instructions to the letter. I love taking walks and exploring the city so I’ll make sure your dog has been worked out if they have a lot of energy. Taking care of animals for so long I feel that I am very emotionally intelligent in how I interact with any pet.

About: I’ve been a dog owner my entire life and recently welcomed a Corgi puppy into my family, which has given me the opportunity to enjoy the training process and learn even more about puppy care. I have a genuine love for dogs and have experience caring for my own pets, as well as the pets of family and friends while they’re away. I’ve owned a cat and two dogs (Shitzu & Corgi). I’ve cared for puppies, senior and rescue pets. This has given me firsthand experience with a variety of personalities, temperaments, and care needs. While I don’t have professional pet-sitting experience, I’m responsible, attentive, and committed to providing loving, dependable care for every pet. I work remotely, so I have a flexible schedule and broad availability to accommodate your pet’s routine, whether they need walks, playtime, companionship, or simply some extra attention while you’re away. I’m currently based in North Portland and work 100% remotely. My regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, but I can work from your home while caring for your pet during that time. My job is very flexible, allowing me to take breaks as needed to give your furry friend plenty of attention, whether that means feeding, potty breaks, playtime, or walks. I’m also fully available on Saturdays and Sundays, so your pet will receive dedicated care and companionship throughout the weekend. When caring for pets in a client’s home, Id like to maintain their normal routine so they feel comfortable, safe, and stress-free while their owners are away. I follow all feeding schedules, provide fresh water, administer medications if needed, and make sure pets get plenty of exercise, playtime, and affection. Since I work remotely, I’m able to spend a significant amount of time with pets throughout the day, providing companionship and regular potty breaks or walks as needed. I also keep the home tidy, clean up after pets, and send updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind knowing their furry family members are happy and well cared for.
About: I grew up raising my two dogs, Nike and Sparky, since they were babies. Nike is a dachshund and Sparky is a little chunky chihuahua. They are both 11 years old. I also babysit my friend’s frenchie, Appa, when they go out of town. I currently work full-time, and am free in the evenings. I am also free during the weekends. I am pretty active and love to go on hikes and runs. I am a super outdoorsy person but can also be a couch potato. Although I don’t have a yard, I live in a super pet friendly neighborhood. I also currently don’t have pets and live in a calm friendly neighborhood.

About: Animals of all kinds have a special place in my heart, whether it's a dog or a cat :) I used to dog-sit for my mom's coworkers when I was in high school, and I've handled solo care for my family's highly active Border Collie/German Shepherd mix for anywhere from a few days to full months at a time. I'm patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoy long walks & active time outdoors, which makes me a solid match for high-energy breeds that need real exercise and structure (also love to just chill and hang out with animals if that's more your pet's speed). Sadly don't have a pet of my own yet, so I would love to give your pet my time and attention while you're away! Hi there! I'm a 25 year-old grad student currently completing a master's program at UO's Portland campus. I'm currently on summer break, so I have ample time to spend with your pet and can be flexible if needed. Come October, I will be unavailable on Wednesday & Thursdays, but I can still provide the same time and flexibility. While I can't currently care for your pet(s) in my own apartment, I am happy to offer walking & sitting services at your home to keep your animal(s) in an environment they are comfortable with. Just let me know what your pet's routine is, and I will do my best to keep it consistent :)
About: As a former National Park Service employee of ten years I’m basically hardwired to love the outdoors and animals, and spending time with animals in the outdoors! I’ve pet sit cats and dogs of all sizes, ages, and abilities for friends, family, and coworkers. Having had both very old and anxious dogs, I’m familiar with the patience, attentiveness, and consistency needed to watch high needs pets and will always adapt my care to guarantee their comfort. As both a college student and an exercise enthusiast, I can fit the care of your pet seamlessly in with my everyday life - be it cuddling on the couch, hanging out in a shared space, throwing a ball, or going for hikes or light runs. When outdoors I always carry extra water and a dog bowl, and am closely tuned in to the needs of your pet to assure they are safe, comfortable, and having a great time. As a full-time college student I have very flexible availability, especially in the early morning, afternoons, and evening. This means I can check in often, and dedicate the best/coolest time of day to walks. As someone who grew up with hyper active and intelligent dogs, I understand that the anxiety that comes with human-pet separation is a two way street. To make sure both you and your pets have peace of mind, I will do my best to gather all necessary information from you about your pets needs, routines, preferences, behaviors, training level (judgement free - training is hard and dogs have a mind of their own), and physical capabilities. I will take notes during our conversation, closely follow all directions, and send you as many pet pics as you need!
About: I work remotely with a flexible schedule and I would love to walk your dogs or stop in for a pop by visit to get them some attention. I have had dogs my whole life, often watch friends' and family members' dogs and have over 10 years of experience with dogs all shapes and sizes. I work remotely and am available to take care of pets throughout the day. First thing in the morning I take pups out for a walk before breakfast and then again during lunch as well as in the evening for a wind down walk. As I am home for work there are many moments for play and going out in the backyard. I have a fenced yard and a dog friendly dog who is obsessed with fetch. We walk often to the park and have a nice fenced backyard to hang out in.
“Courtney walked my dog several days in a row to help me out with a busy week. She showed up every day on time, completed a full walk, and had no trouble managing my somewhat rambunctious one year old. I will definitely hire her again and recommend her highly.”

The median cost per walk for dog walking in Overlook is $20
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Overlook
Kimo is wonderful! He is kind, professional, and reliable. He does a great job of communicating quickly & working with last-minute changes when they come up. Most importantly, I feel like my pup is in good hands! He comes back happy & ready for a nap after his walks with Kimo, which is great to see for my high energy guy, who becomes anxious if he doesn’t have enough time mental & physical stimulation. Thank you, Kimo!!

Marie is wonderful, caring, and a great communicator! She was so patient with my pup, who is experiencing anxiety with our recent move. Marie went above & beyond to meet Heidi where she's at, to take the walk-intro slowly, and allow my pup space to feel comfortable. I so appreciate the 5 STAR CARE and consideration Marie offers and highly recommend her!
