“Byron has started taking my pointer on weekly walks and is the best! He’s prompt, easy to communicate with, and clearly loves being around dogs. Plus, my pup always comes back happy AND tired. Thank you!!”

“Bobby is great! He took our high-energy dog on a nice long walk and sent a great update and great pictures. He came over for a meet and greet prior and was really attentive and asked good questions. We’re looking forward to more walks with Bobby!”

“Lillian was a great companion to both our pets while we were away for the holiday. We were so happy to connect with someone willing to drive our dog to an area of the neighborhood with flatter streets. I'm sure he was happy too! Would definitely recommend.”
“Annika is fantastic. Our dog Wray, who suffers from separation anxiety, loves her and has stopped having accidents in the house since Annika has been walking her. She is extremely reliable and kind. Highly recommend!”

“Shannon is very communicative and took the time to do a meet and greet. She also was mindful of the heat and even went out of her way to bring a package in for me. Thanks Shannon!”

About: I have had pets my entire life, both dogs and cats, plus a few reptiles and fish along the way. I tend to be the ‘go-to’ friend who cares for pets when they go out of town. I have a gentle demeanor and try to meet your pet with whatever they need to feel safe and happy in the absence of their family. Finding comfort in knowing your pet is safe and cared for can be challenging and I would love to help ease some of that stress. I am a massage therapist with short and sweet work days, typically only gone for a few hrs at a time. With all this free time I would love to help care for your babes while you’re away. I currently have one dog, a mini Aussie, who loves being around dogs and could use a bestie to burn some energy with! We spend lots of time at dog parks, walks in the neighborhood, and snugs on the couch after a long day of running off the zoomies! I have a fenced backyard and plenty of toys to share! Our neighborhood is walking friendly, butted up to Columbia Park for a more relaxed walk if cars/people create some anxiety. I drive a Tacoma with a converted backseat made just for safe dog rides! Let’s roll down the windows and cruise!
About: I’ve been a dog owner for more than 10 years. I really love to be around dogs they bring lots of joy. I had 5 dogs and my parents relied on me to feed, walk, and wash them. Being around dogs for so long I have a good understand of their behavior. I am currently attending university of Portland, so sadly I am far from home and don’t have any interactions with my pets. But back home I would do my dog routine in the morning right after I eat breakfast. I would always keep and eye on the pet but at the same time not bother their peace. I usually like to play around with pets, so they will be busy.
About: I was raised as an animal lover in a home with two dogs, two cats, and one bearded dragon! My appreciation extends to creatures great and small -- I have performed some light farm-sitting. I have pet & house-sat since highschool and I feel comfortable and confident with: large dogs, reactive dogs, pets with special medication needs, and skittish or hostile cats. I want to make sure your pet is getting the care they need from me; I can give pets and comfort to a senior kitty, or make sure your pup has sniffed everything in a one mile radius! I'm currently working part time and I should have flexible availability for what service you're looking for. Please feel free to message me about any specifics you have questions about! I want to ensure your pet's routine stays as close to usual as possible so they are happy and healthy! When I've cared for reactive dogs, I did my best to walk routes that avoided potential triggers. To follow medication schedules, I will try my hardest to trick even the most suspicious pet into taking their medicine. I will take care of your pet as you'd like me to!

About: My name is Bri. I'm currently a student at Portland State University. I'm studying Arts and Letters and am looking forward to graduating in the next year. With the exception of this current year, I've lived with a dog all my life. I am without a doubt a "dog person". As a child, one of my favorite memories was talking my dog for a run around the neighborhood. I would ride my bike and let me dog run along with me. Most of my experience is working with big dogs, but i believe little dogs are great too! I'm looking forward to working as a dog walker because of the flexible schedule. I'm in class on Mondays and Wednesdays, and the time I'm not in class I can spend walking dogs.

About: Having always had a deep love and connection with animals, I’ve been caring for pets of all ages and kinds since I was a wee kiddo. Since the beginning, I’ve approached every animal with a big heart, and a smile, whether it’s with dogs, cats, birds, rodents, reptiles, amphibians, or even insects. I promise to do everything I can to ensure that you, your loved ones, and your home are treated with the respect and care you deserve. I am a newbie to Rover! So, right now, my schedule is pretty flexible. Give me a shout, and I’ll do my best to work something out! I currently travel via foot, bike, and TriMet. I currently help care for two indoor cats in the house where I live (owners are my roommates). I make sure they receive love, attention, every day, as well as making sure the cat boxes are cleaned regularly to avoid odors and potential airborne illness. Similarly, I will make sure your animals receive the same amount of care, if not more, as to make sure your and your loved ones’ needs are met!
“Elizabeth was wonderful. She communicated with me daily, let me know when Jammer needed things, and she showed him so much love. That’s all I can ask for. She updated the rover walking cards regularly, which was so nice to see! 100% will be using her services in the future. Thank you Libby!!”

About: I’ve taken care of and lived with and around dogs my whole life. I absolutely adore dogs and all animals but I’m unfortunately allergic to cats so I can’t take care of them. I can take care of elderly dogs with health issues. I’ve boarded and pet sit many times before. I can walk, feed, cuddle, play, give medication, clean up after them and bathe/groom your dog. My biggest priority is that you and your dog feel comfortable and safe when your away from each other. I hope to make the process painless and as stress free as possible. I just finished my second year at college and am looking to spend some time with dogs as my landlord doesn’t allow pets. I am currently working part time at my schools library so I’m free most weekdays and weekends between 8am-7pm. My house has stairs, no other pets, and is a no smoking household. My house is right by the University of Portland campus for longer walks to burn off energy. When house sitting I adhere to all rules of your house. I can contact you with photos and updates every time I walk or pet sit with you. I will give your pet all my love and affection to make them feel safe with me.
“Kate was so sweet and personable! She genuinely has a love for dogs and treated my furbaby as if he was her own! :) She is also very responsive and professional and we truly appreciate her!”

“Michael was great with the energy of our big lab, and he was easy to plan and communicate with. We had a happy, nicely tired-out pup after their time together, which is JUST what we needed. Many thanks to Michael.”

Chris went above and beyond all expectations while he was caring for Winnie. He made sure she got plenty of exercise, took her on trips to new parks, and sent lots of picture updates. He was very easy to communicate with as well. I will absolutely be requesting his services in the future over any other sitter I’ve used. would give more than 5 stars if I could!

A wonderful dog walker, who deals with a pup that will eat anything, but more importantly, a great person that is superbly friendly when you happen upon him and his pup walking the streets of St Johns. Both I and Frankie are so thankful for his professionalism, kindness, and ability to change schedules on short notice, plus he is great about communicating any delays or scheduling issues that arise.
