“Great communication and gentle care to our fur baby. Joyce was very thorough in explaining how the day and care would look like. Also Joyce wanted to know about our dog’s routines and preferences to help ease our dog to her place. She aimed at making our dog feel safe and comfortable. We are thankful to have found her.”

“Amelia is wonderful! We were so happy to be able to be away and know that she's taking good care of our pup. The fact that our anxious little dog loves her says it all.”

“Nadia was great with our puppy Bailey. Bailey loved her right away. Nadia sent us plenty of pictures to keep us updated with her stay. Bailey came home happy and sleepy from how much fun she had at Nadia's!”

“Jack had another wonderful stay with Grace and her family! We appreciate her kindness, attentiveness and care for him. Also her updates of Jack give us peace of mind when away!”

“Larissa was great with Kevin, her family and home are the best option for your pet. She sent daily updates and pictures. Definitely will return for her support in future travels.”

“I was in a pinch and needed a dog sitter for my puppy Coconut last minute and I am so grateful to have found Christy and Cornell. My puppy had an amazing time staying with them and I couldn’t be more grateful the exceptional care and love they gave her. Highly recommend!”

“Having never left my dog with a stranger, I was definitely nervous dropping off my poppy before our vacation. But Li Ting went above and beyond making sure both me and my dog were comfortable. She sent paragraph long updates with so many details that made me think “yup, that’s my poppy!”. And of course lots of pictures and videos. They went on adventures, had yummy snacks, and she even brushed poppy’s teeth. I felt so full of joy and so much comfort seeing her updates. Plus, poppy got along with her dog so well. I would recommend to anyone looking for a dog sitter!”

“Yoona, Minjae, and their sweet pup Buddy were absolutely wonderful hosts for my Bichon, Teo. This was Teo’s first stay outside the care of a family member, but from our very first meeting in Yoona and Minjae’s clean, welcoming home, I felt completely at ease knowing he would be in the best hands. Teo was comfortable with them right away, and the photos and videos they shared throughout his stay showed just how happy he was - enjoying plenty of walks, enrichment, and feeling truly included as part of their pack. It was clear that Teo received so much love and attention; he was affectionate with Yoona and Minjae and was genuinely treated like a member of their family. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and they were incredibly responsive and flexible with scheduling. The entire process was seamless, and Teo was calm and confident being left in their care. I couldn’t recommend Yoona and Minjae more highly, and know that Teo would be thrilled to return for future daycare or boarding stays.”

“I think my dog was fine in Ahiram’s care, she and her husband seem nice, and their apartment was clean. She only sent updates/pics halfway through the first day and after pickup, for a three day stay (I checked the box for wanting updates). FYI - there was basically nowhere legal/available to park around her apartment, but she was willing to bring out my dog so we didn’t need to park.”

“Dapeng was a great care taker of our two pups. We received periodic photos and updates, our dogs were clean and happy when we picked them up, and correspondence happened easily. We would work with Dapeng again.”

About: I'm a solo dad to three big dogs, two German Shepherds and a Pitbull/Shepherd mix, and dogs have been part of my life since I was 12 years old. All three are rescues and I raised each of them from puppyhood. Last year I said goodbye to my husky after 13 years together, and that kind of love doesn't go away. It just makes you want to give it to more dogs. I'm a Bay Area native who spent five years in Texas before moving back last summer. During that time I volunteered with Greater Houston German Shepherd Dog Rescue and served as a foster parent for GSDs waiting to find their forever homes. I've worked with dogs that came from neglect, shelters, and difficult situations and helped them feel safe and loved while they waited for the right family. That experience changed the way I see dogs and deepened everything I already knew about the breed. I prefer to come to your home rather than bring your dog to mine. Your dog stays in their own space, with their own smells, their own bed, their own routine. For a lot of dogs that makes all the difference, and for a lot of owners it's one less thing to worry about. I have a truck so getting around is never an issue. Parks, trails, wherever your dog loves to go, we'll get there. I've got a lot of experience with big breeds specifically. The energy, the space they need, crate training, the whole thing. I know how to handle a strong dog and I know how to make one feel safe. Whatever your dog needs, patient and slow or active and social, they're going to get real attention and genuine care. My schedule is pretty open right now, which means your dog gets real time and attention, not a quick check-in between other commitments. I’m available most days for walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays at your home. The main exception is two weekends a month when I travel for work, but outside of that I’m flexible and responsive. Morning and evening walks are my default routine. I know fenced in spots around the area where dogs can actually run and roam without running into other dogs, which is great for high energy breeds that need to really burn it off. After every outdoor outing I wash paws before heading back inside. My preference is always to come to you. Your dog stays in their own environment, sleeps in their own bed, and keeps their normal routine intact. For most dogs that alone makes a noticeable difference in how comfortable and settled they feel while you're away. Once we've had a chance to meet and your dog is comfortable with me, boarding at my place is also an option. I have three dogs of my own so I'm thoughtful about who comes into that space, but for the right dog it can work really well. I'm comfortable with medication administration, crate training, grooming, and bathing. I have a truck for vet runs or anywhere else your dog needs to go, and I'm physically capable of handling and lifting large dogs up to 120 lbs, which matters more than people think when you have a big breed.
“Julia was amazing with Leo! She took great care of him, and her communication and frequent updates were outstanding, which gave me so much peace of mind. Leo is very friendly and clearly felt comfortable and happy with her. I will definitely be booking with Julia again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Sangeeta was just great with our little Leo! She was in touch with photos and kept us posted with the daily routine. Leo can be a picky eater sometimes especially when away from home but Sangeeta went above and beyond to make sure he was fed and tried all the different ways to do that! Im sure we will be leaving our Leo with her in the future. Thanks Sangeeta!”

“Abby spent a few times with Mathias and Courtney. She was well taken care of. It was a real vacation for her. She received so much attention from the kids. In particular, she fell in love with one of the children. We were a little jealous :). Mathias and Courtney were both lovely. Communication was great. Abby will be back.”

“Thank you, Malika, for taking care of Cookie. She sent me updates with pictures every day and followed the care instructions very well. Cookie seemed happy while staying there. I will use your service again!”
“This is our first time in having Leah watch over our Boba. Thank you for taking such great care of him and giving daily updates/pictures. We will definitely have Leah watch over our sweet boy again!”

Yoona and Minjae took such wonderful care of our Westie, Jasper, for a three day stay… thank you! He had a great time and was very well attended to. The updates provided were very timely, detailed and informative. Excellent communication and followed our guidance in watching Jasper. He is definitely looking forward to another stay soon!

Ashley and Arman took very good care of my dog. They were responsive and followed his schedule well. They were always with my dog and kept him company during the whole stay. I think my dog enjoyed his stay with them a lot. I would definitely book again with them in the future.

This is my 2nd time using Rover. Christopher is an awesome sitter!! He scheduled an initial meet-and-greet beforehand with Charlie & I to make sure it would be a good fit for my dog. He also sent daily photos and updates. I only had cats as pets before and Charlie is my 1st dog, so I’m inexperienced and trying to learn how to train him…. and I swear Christopher helped train my dog to clearly indicate when he would need to go out to go potty. It wasn’t as clear as it is now. THANK YOU!!!! 🙏🏼 I would most definitely try to book Christopher again if I need a sitter!

When I dropped my dog off at Jay's he started crying with anticipation he was so excited. To me, that is the best sign, especially with a challenging dog. Jay has taken the time and energy to really connect with our boy and it means the world to us to have so much peace of mind when we travel.
