“Rebecca was absolutely wonderful! I was fully confident in leaving Mousse with her after doing an initial meet and greet. It was very clear that Rebecca has a good sense of how dogs are and what they need. She was careful to point out that her stairway was sometimes a challenge for dogs and that it was important to make sure Mousse would be ok navigating them... and she'd thought out where to place the crate in her apartment so it wasn't in the sun. She sent regular check ins and Mousse was clearly having a great time in all the pictures :) In addition, Rebecca was very flexible and understanding when we were stuck in traffic and needed to delay pick up by a few hours. We hope to add Rebecca to our regular rotation of Rover sitters!”

“Maria was absolutely amazing taking care of Mac. She made sure he got enough exercise and playtime while also giving him space to wind down and relax. Mac ending up being on prescription diet during the boarding and Maria followed it perfectly! I was so thankful she was able to watch him and I will definitely be booking again. I also really appreciated the updates throughout the day about the various activities she did with Mac. Additionally, her dog Cookie was super playful with Mac despite the large difference in their size. Mac truly seemed like he was having a great time which brought me piece of mind for his stay.”

“I boarded my dog for a few days with Ann. She was a great communicator and took good care of my pup. Izzy got lots to attention and enjoyed the fenced in yard. Definitely recommend and will use again.”

“Dana was someone I know I can trust with my best friend, May. It was clear that she cared about May's well-being and kept us updated with pictures and text about May and took into consideration we were away from her and enjoyed knowing she was having fun, eating well and getting outside for a run or a walk. I liked the idea that I could text Dana and get feedback anytime! I would not hesitate to take May over for our 'week' down the shore or anywhere for that matter. Thank You Dana for being such a good friend to the best dog I ever loved.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Kat and Matt! They took great care of our two dogs over the weekend and made sure we always felt connected by sending regular photo updates. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our pups were happy, safe, and well loved. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely book with them again!”

“Joanna did an outstanding job taking care of Louie, especially on such short notice. She was incredibly accommodating, paid great attention to detail, and communicated clearly throughout, which gave us real peace of mind. Louie was well cared for and clearly comfortable in her care. We’re really glad to have met both Joanna and Henry, and would absolutely recommend her and look forward to booking with her again!”

“Lijuan took excellent care of our dog over a 5-day stay. She was communicative, responsive, and attentive throughout the entire experience. She promptly answered all of our questions and consistently provided updates, photos, and feedback, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that our dog was well cared for and comfortable in her care. We would absolutely book with Lijuan again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

“Host is a good communicator and very time conscious. He sent in pics and kept us informed of how the pups were doing. We left our Husky and Lab babies with Brian. They had plenty of exercise in the back yard with other dogs, a total of 6 when we boarded ours. We would definitely rebook with him !”

“Tielian did a great job taking care of our dog, as always. We’ve used her to watch our pup many times and she’s always dependable and kind. We will definitely use her again!”

“Patty is the absolute best! She took such great care of my dog Pippa for an extended stay. She was so kind and communicative. She treated my little girl like she was her own. She and her husband are truly dog whisperers.”

“Jennifer has been absolutely amazing with my 2yr old rescue. He’s a nervous little guy and he has done really well staying in her home. She consistently updates me with how he’s doing and pictures. She and her family have been so loving. I can’t recommend her enough.”

“Richard and his family were awesome! They treated Zoey with love and care! Sent pictures often and gave her lots of snuggles and love! I recommend him highly!!!”

“My dog, Pete, was so well taken care of while I was away. I am always apprehensive when leaving my dog in the care of another, but as soon as I met Nicolas, I knew Pete was in the most capable of hands. Nicolas is an experienced dog trainer and it shows. Pete warmed up to Nicolas instantly and I was very impressed with how he interacted with Pete. Nicolas gave him lots of walks took him to the dog park (with my permission) almost everyday. I received updates and pictures at least twice a day. The most impressive part was how Pete acted when I came to pick him up. I swear he was a better trained dog than when I dropped him off! This was such a positive experience for me and I will absolutely rebook with Nicolas the next time I go away. I highly recommend him; you won’t regret it!”

“I cannot speak highly enough of my expirience with Mel and Shilohs stay. I felt at ease knowing my dog was in such good hands. I received updates and photos of my dog while I was gone and saw how much fun ahe was having. Mel was a great help and I will plan to use her in the future!”

“Mary was an incredible dog watcher! I got multiple updates throughout the day with very cute pictures included. My dog needed to take medicine on a schedule and Mary made sure to communicate each time a dose was given. I could not have asked for a better host for my fur baby! 10/10 would recommend”

“Our dog Poncho stayed with Chonlada for a week while we were on vacation and we could not take him with us. She was very flexible and agreeable to a meet & greet beforehand. Poncho and her dog Tokie were similar in size, age, and activity level so they seemed to get along great. She has a large fenced property for the dogs to explore and run around. I got daily updates as well as pictures and videos of Poncho, which made my family and I feel better about leaving him. Chonlada and her family took great care of Poncho (spoiled him...lol) and made sure he ate his meals and slept comfortably. They also comforted him during a thunder storm, which he does not like. Chonlada even contacted me when she noticed that Poncho was licking his paws and had a small abrasion, which she treated and monitored. Thanks so much to Chonlada and her family and I would definitely recommend her for boarding and will use again when needed.”

“Tamikia was a breath of fresh air. She was very welcoming and cared for our Bella like one of her own..She gave updates and sent pictures the entire stay. I highly recommend her services. Bella also was taken for walks and fed great. We are glad we chose Tamikia. Don't hesitate with your pets for her care/ services.”

“Bryce was available on short notice and remained responsive over DMs throughout our interactions. I got lots of photos and updates on Wallace during his stay. I would recommend anyone to place their pet in Bryce's cade.”

Aimee and her husband were amazing, we received plenty of daily updates and pictures of our pup enjoying his time with them! Our dog usually gets very anxious when staying with new people but he felt right at home with Aimee! We will definitely be using her services in the future, if you’re looking for the perfect sitter for your pup, you’ve found them!

This is the first time boarding our 12 years old dog with Emma for over a week. We visited her first for a meet and greet and I was immediately comfortable. Emma has her own dogs and she has a dog training business. Her communication was very good and she sent pictures during the week. I would not hesitate to use Emma in the future.

Cindy is Absolutely an amazing cat sitter! She took such great care of my cat while I was away and went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and at home. She provided thoughtful little touches that made the experience so much easier for my cat, and I could tell she was truly cared for and loved. My cat came home happy, relaxed, and honestly a little spoiled in the best way possible! I really appreciated the kindness, attention, and love she gave her. I would 100% trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable and caring for their cat.

George was amazing with my pup. My 5-lb Yorkie is quite anxious, but seemed at ease with George from drop off. I received plenty of pics and updates. My dog was quite relaxed at pickup, and George worked with me as I was a bit early for my pickup window. Would highly recommend - George really does seem like a "dog whisperer". 5 stars!

Stephanie proved to be an outstanding sitter for our two Australian Labradoodles. Upon arrival at her home, one notes a massive fenced-in yard that provides people and pets a large area for play and recreation. Her home is beautiful, and upon meeting Stephanie, one immediately detects she is a warm and attentive sitter who sincerely loves pets. Her furry son, Piper, is extremely friendly toward human visitors and their pets. During our pets' stay, Stephanie made sure they spent plenty of time outdoors, and she took them on walks on multiple occasions. She sent us photos of them every day, and every photo demonstrated they were happy, comfortable, and content. My family members consistently felt our furry children were in superb and massively capable hands. Without one iota of hesitation or reservation, I strongly recommend Stephanie for all your pet sitting and other needs. You will be very glad you placed your precious pets in her care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
