About: I’ve had dogs for over 15 years and have always been very hands on with their care. I raised my Yorkie and Dachshund from puppies and cared for them throughout their entire lives. I’ve also watched other dogs, including Corgis, Maltese, and Beagles, and I’m most comfortable with small to medium sized dogs. My two dogs recently passed away after long, happy lives, and I’m not quite ready to have another dog of my own yet. I have always been an animal lover and genuinely love being around animals. I honestly can’t imagine my life without having an animal around, so caring for other people’s pets feels like a wonderful way for me to still have that companionship while giving their families peace of mind. I’m especially comfortable with senior dogs because I cared for my own senior dog through lymphoma, heart disease, kidney disease, and seizures. I’m used to the extra attention, patience, and observation they may need, and I’m comfortable giving medications, injections, or medication with food when needed. Most of all, I truly enjoy caring for animals and getting to know their individual personalities and routines. I know how much pets mean to their families, so when I watch someone’s pet, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and at home, not like they are simply being boarded somewhere. I work from home three days a week, so I’m around the house most of the time. On the days I do go into work, my office is only about a 15 minute drive away and my schedule is flexible, so I can come home when needed. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine and will do my best to keep the same feeding, potty, walking, and medication schedule they’re used to at home. I want your pet’s stay to feel as normal and comfortable as possible. Safety is always my top priority. I have a fenced backyard, so dogs can have safe outdoor time without being loose or unattended. Having recently cared for a senior dog with several health issues, I’m very used to paying attention to small changes in a dog’s behavior, appetite, energy, bathroom habits, or anything else that seems different. If I notice something unusual, I’ll let you know rather than assuming it’s nothing. My own dogs recently passed away, so when your dog stays with me, they are the only pet in the house. I’m also very careful about keeping things out of reach. My Dachshund was always somehow able to find things he was not supposed to eat, so I became very used to keeping food, small objects, and anything potentially unsafe put away.

“Absolutely marvellous! Electra and Crescent were an absolute delight to meet, and they treated our peewees with such care. Our original plans were for just boarding our little dog (which they did armirably!), but we couldn’t find anyone to care for our cats, or to provide medication to one with diabetes. Wellsiree, they went above and beyond, and kept us up to date with daily updates in photo and video. Our little dog adored staying with them, she got lots of cuddles and lots of exercise! And our cats were so well looked after they were spoiled rotten. We can’t say enough great things about this wonderful couple. They’re our first choice for excellent care and attention of our peewees.”

If your dog likes playing with there dogs, this is a great place for them. There is a big fenced in yard and Cooper was able to run around with her dogs (I think there are 5). “Ben has been a fantastic overnight sitter for my golden retriever. My dog stays at his house, where he also has two friendly dogs that get along great with mine. Ben sends regular updates and photos—usually of the dogs out on walks or my dog happily getting belly rubs—which I really appreciate. He also has a great fenced-in backyard where the dogs can safely play. The best sign of all was that my dog was genuinely excited to see Ben again on a repeat visit. About: I’ve had at least one pet in my house since I was a baby. At my peak as a teenager, we had 3 dogs and 2 cats. I’ve had a very sweet cat for the last 10 years and cared for many dogs in between. Knowledgeable in basic training skills for dogs as I had a hand in all our dog trainings growing up. My schedule varies, but can make most things work with advance notice. Evenings and weekends would be best! I do work full time and am looking to use Rover as an opportunity to meet lots of friendly pets more than a primary income. I am open to most pet care strategies and am willing to adjust to your needs. I have definitely had crated dogs in the past and totally understand that sometimes a muzzle or other restraint techniques is necessary as a dog gets used to their surroundings. I have experience with both friendly and not-so-friendly cats and understand how to meet their needs.

Ryan and his family took excellent care of Lina for the 11 days I was out of the country. I appreciated their willingness to arrange a meet-up prior to the booking as well as their communication throughout the stay (including regular photo updates). I felt very much at ease, knowing that Lina was in good hands and enjoying time on walks and outings, receiving lots of attention (including from the kids), and cuddling at home. Ryan clearly familiarized himself with Lina's care instructions in advance, and he had Lina's things packed and ready for pick-up. I would not hesitate to book Ryan as a sitter in the future.
Emma was fantastic with our 5 month old puppy, Tatum. Tatum typically follows me everywhere when we are at home. This was the first time leaving her somewhere so I was a little nervous about how she would do. When I went to pick Tatum up I thought she would be so excited to see me and I picked her up but she was itching to get down and play more with Tofu (Emma’s dog). 😂 I could tell she had a great time. We had a wonderful experience with Ena & Daniel. They watched our sweet pup while we went on a 5 day trip. It was our first time leaving our girl with a sitter. From the moment we connected, Ena & Daniel were super communicative. We met for a meet & greet and our pup and their Lucy hit it off. During our trip we received video and picture updates which helped ease any worries we had about leaving her. Our girl had a smile on her face and seemed to love her time with them.
