Professional Dog Trainer
I've been passionate about enriching the lives of dogs and cats, as well as exotic and large animals, for as long as I remember. I've helped care for the scaly and creepy crawlies of the world, special needs animals, and a variety of farm animals. I currently dedicate my personal time to training and competing with my personal dogs in sports like obedience, conformation, barn hunt, and protection. I also focus quite a bit on puppy imprinting, my schedule is very open to accommodate learning puppies or sensitive seniors. I train dogs full time through my business, Fetch Happens Dog Training, which gives me the flexibility to give your pets the individualised attention that they need, when they need it. When your dog is in my care they are my first priority.

My little guy had just arrived when I had to go out of town. I trusted Hart in Emma's care while I traveled. I could not have been more pleased that he was with her. She provided much love and attention along with wonderful advice. She communicated daily and shared lovely and fun pictures. Emma was our choice from the initial meeting. Emma is fantastic! I cannot rave enough about her! From our first meeting, I knew she was going to be the best person to entrust with the care of my fur babies from the many I interviewed. She was very communicative and provided great photo updates as well. It’s clear that her work with canines is a passion and a calling. Most importantly, my dogs could t wait to get inside on their FIRST visit, and they were very happy and tuckered out upon our return. We definitely hope to book with Emma next time we need care!

This is the first time boarding our 12 years old dog with Emma for over a week. We visited her first for a meet and greet and I was immediately comfortable. Emma has her own dogs and she has a dog training business. Her communication was very good and she sent pictures during the week. I would not hesitate to use Emma in the future.
emma was excellent with our pup’s first time away from home! he had an absolute blast! emma sent lots of pictures and was very responsive, I felt super confident leaving franklin in her hands. will definitely be booking her again!

Schedule
My schedule is extremely flexible, I typically schedule a maximum of two lessons per day with my training students with breaks in between so I always have time focus on the dogs in my care.

I’m committed to keeping both your pets and your home safe, I have a significant amount of experience managing escape artists and flight risks as well as an attention to detail when caring for pets in clients’ homes. While I welcome “quirky” or challenging dogs, please give me as many details as you can regarding your dog’s behavior and history so I can set them up for a low stress stay.

A typical day
A typical day can be customised to the routine that your pet is used to, however I’m always excited for an opportunity to get pups out hiking or joining me for training outings. Structure and relaxation time between excitement is a priority in this house as well!
