“Phenomenal dog sitter. I boarded my two dogs with Jeffrey for Christmas week. He provided updates and pictures each day in a consistent and clear manner. He took great care of my dogs, and my dogs always have fun with Jeffrey's dog, Lily. I will continue to hire Jeffrey as my main dog sitter for as long as possible.”

About: I have worked in the veterinary field for 4 years as a veterinary assistant. I started pet sitting for my family members and neighbors for their cats and dogs. I have pet sit and walked dogs of all sizes but I have the most experience dog walking medium sized dogs between 40-70lbs from labs to pit bulls. I’m currently attending the university of Delaware and have class Monday through Friday! I’m most available on Wednesday after 3, Thursdays after 2, and Fridays after 12. Sundays I’m free all day! I am well experienced with dogs and cats of all sizes from my experience working at a vets office. I will gladly play, walk, or just entertain and watch your pet as you deem necessary.
“Nicole & family took such great care of our two babies for their two night stay. She sent regular pictures and updates. The dogs loved getting some extra snacks and cuddles and enjoyed the backyard! Thank you so much!!”

“Iyana did an amazing job watching Murphy! She was very thorough with updates, and sent so many pictures😊 She took him on adventures and gave him fun activities. 10/10!”

“Mel was amazing with our pup! Yumi boarded overnight with her and her dog, they matched energies so well and had a great time together. Mel sent tons of pictures and kept us up to date on her eating habits since we have a pup with a sensitive tum. Would definitely recommend Mel and book again!”

“Amy was fantastic - we instantly felt comfortable with her husband and her (and, more importantly, so did the dog!). She was very detail oriented, sent pictures throughout Champ's short stay and made sure Champ got plenty of exercise. I also appreciated her policy not to take multiple dogs at once. We will definitely be repeating with Amy - the whole experience was great!”

“Rachel was fantastic! Bean, who can be a little nervous at first, warmed up to her immediately. Rachel was very communicative and send lots of photos - it looked like they had a great weekend! Will definitely use her again!”

“Winston had the best time with Fran and Curtis while we were away. Fran was great at providing daily updates and sending pictures/videos. Anytime I checked in she responded quickly. It’s clear they are both dog lovers! We will absolutely us them again!”

“Colin was fantastic! He kept us updated with pictures and notes. We did a meet and greet in advance and his dogs are lovely and got along great with ours! We will absolutely rebook!”

“Our dog Poncho stayed with Chonlada for a week while we were on vacation and we could not take him with us. She was very flexible and agreeable to a meet & greet beforehand. Poncho and her dog Tokie were similar in size, age, and activity level so they seemed to get along great. She has a large fenced property for the dogs to explore and run around. I got daily updates as well as pictures and videos of Poncho, which made my family and I feel better about leaving him. Chonlada and her family took great care of Poncho (spoiled him...lol) and made sure he ate his meals and slept comfortably. They also comforted him during a thunder storm, which he does not like. Chonlada even contacted me when she noticed that Poncho was licking his paws and had a small abrasion, which she treated and monitored. Thanks so much to Chonlada and her family and I would definitely recommend her for boarding and will use again when needed.”

“This was the first time I used Rover and Doug was great! He set up a meet and greet to make sure my Nina and his Tonka got along. He also sent a picture of Nina every day. I will definitely use him again!”

“My dogs were very happy and well cared for at Monae’s while I was out of town for the weekend! She sent a lot of photos, and I could tell they were loving playing with her dog in the yard. She is also very easy to communicate with as far as setting up pick up and drop off. Would definitely recommend for people looking for doggie daycare or boarding!”

“Felix was great with my dog nova. They made sure she was comfortable with the other animals in the house and stayed in communication throughout my trip. I have so many great photos from their walks and hanging out in the house. Felix is my first choice when I comes to Philly rovers”

“What wonderful service was provided. Rebecca was so great with my boy. He came home very happy. She took him on walks and gave him lots of cuddles. She was very quick with her response whenever I asked about my baby. I highly recommend. I can’t say enough nice things. Will definitely be using her again in the near future”

“Melanie was amazing!! I really appreciated that she asked lots of questions about my two boys because it gives me peace of mind that their doggy sitter will take the best care of them. Which was actually what happened! She sent lots of photos of updates during the stay. Her dog Pippa was also so sweet and got along great with Mr and Captain. We had a change of plans at the end and Melanie was so helpful in accommodating us. Would definitely recommend her to everyone!”

“Janelle, Zach and Bentley love Speckle and Speckle is always happy to tippy tap right in their home. Thank you all for taking care of our guy again. From walks to homemade Christmas treats, lots of lovies and lots of pictures. Speckle will be back!”

“I booked Kathleen for an overnight stay, and even though my dog was very nervous, she handled everything with so much patience and care. From the moment I dropped him off, she went above and beyond to help him feel safe and comfortable. She kept him calm, gave him space when he needed it, and reassured him throughout the night. By the time I picked him up the next day, it was clear she had truly cared for him like he was her own. I really appreciated the extra effort she put into easing his anxiety. I highly recommend Kathleen to anyone with a dog who may be shy, anxious, or slow to warm up. She is kind, attentive, and genuinely loves what she does. I will definitely book with her again!”

“Christine and Dan were absolutely incredible! From the moment I met Christine, she was so bubbly, warm, and friendly, and it was immediately clear that they were genuinely excited to spend time with Blizzard. They even offered to meet up before the weekend so that everyone, especially Blizzard, could get comfortable beforehand, which I really appreciated. While I was away, they took Blizzard on a long walk to a nearby park and kept me updated with pictures throughout the weekend. I felt completely at ease knowing she was in such caring hands. Christine and Dan truly went above and beyond, and I couldn’t recommend them more highly. I would have them watch Blizzard again in a heartbeat! I could tell Blizz was actually a little sad to leave them, so she clearly had an amazing time too!”

I highly recommend Maria for pet sitting! She took care of my 5 month old Golden Retriever puppy over the Fourth of July weekend and did an awesome job and he seemed very comfortable with her and her partner. She also sent videos of him a few times while I was away. I highly recommend her!

Jennifer provided an amazing and comfortable environment for our dog Blaze. I could tell instantly that Blaze was safe and happy in her care. Jennifer has lots of dogs that know how to play and have fun. Overall, it was a great experience and I can’t recommend Jennifer enough.

Finn had a great experience with Ed and his family. I appreciated the frequent photos and updates while I was away, and Finn came home a happy boy. I will definitely be working with Ed in the future. He is very conscientious and reliable and enjoys working with dogs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
