âDouglas and Henry came back very happy from their stay with Ginger. She took excellent care of them and paid attention to the little nuances each dog needed. I highly recommend her!â

âKhaing took such good care of our beloved cat! As a first time Rover user, she was so helpful regarding processes on the booking itself, and of course how she would care for our Kitty. From her regular updates and photos, I can tell he had an absolutely delightful stay - and it was a vacation for him! Her set up is absolutely wonderful for a cat, with multiple cat trees and lots of engaging toys. Khaing is an excellent communicator, and a fantastic cat sitter with a big heart.â
âTim is great with Annie. She enjoys visiting him and is happy and comfortable at his place. He takes good care of her with walks and playtime.â

âUlku & Andrew are wonderful. Their home and yard are very pet friendly. They care for your pet. We will definitely continue to have them watch Zuzu for us.â

âI cannot speak highly enough of my expirience with Mel and Shilohs stay. I felt at ease knowing my dog was in such good hands. I received updates and photos of my dog while I was gone and saw how much fun ahe was having. Mel was a great help and I will plan to use her in the future!â

âMelanie was amazing!! I really appreciated that she asked lots of questions about my two boys because it gives me peace of mind that their doggy sitter will take the best care of them. Which was actually what happened! She sent lots of photos of updates during the stay. Her dog Pippa was also so sweet and got along great with Mr and Captain. We had a change of plans at the end and Melanie was so helpful in accommodating us. Would definitely recommend her to everyone!â

âGregory was very responsive to my last minute request for boarding. My dog is little and anxious, and I was not sure how she would do with another dog as large as Koda, Gregoryâs dog. But Koda turned out to be very well trained and had a lovely calm demeanor. Maya was very comfortable and I will definitely be using Gregory again!â

âI couldnât have asked for a better dog sitter for my two dogs. I received regular updates with photos throughout the day, and it was clear they were happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands.â

âAllison and the girls took such great care of Cookie! As first time Rover users, Allison was patient with my husband and provided regular check-ins, updates and pictures! It was clear Cookie had a nice time and was much less stressed than when we typically board her. We look forward to booking again with Allison and Kevin in the future!â

âWe had no worries dropping of our Golden Retriever at David's for the another week while we were out of town. She is always happy to see him when I drop her off and I am confident that she is in good hands. I have used David numerous times and we will be back when we take our next trip!â

âJasmine is perfect. I have used her services for boarding and dog walking. Both times were good experiences. I am able to relax because Jasmine keeps me constantly updated with pictures and video. Sprinkles put my dog at ease so that was super helpful.â

About: Hi, my name is Shandara. I live in Roxborough and I have a Standard poodle named Biscotti. Biscotti and I love to go on long walks and explore the neighborhood. If you live in the area, youâve probably seen us around! Biscotti is so adorable and we love to try fun haircuts, so he tends to attract a lot of attention. Iâve taken care of pets since I was a child. Growing up, my family had dogs, cats, bunnies, turtles, and fish. Iâve had my own dog now for 5 years and Iâve been trusted by many family members and friends to care for their pets. Having a fur baby myself, I understand the struggle and anxiety that come with needing to find the right care. We all hope for someone responsible and loving who will make our pet feel right at home. My hope is to be that person for you. My goal is to provide exceptional care so you can enjoy your time away knowing that your loved one is in good hands. I recently left my 9-5 in Investment Operations to pursue my dreams of working for myself. Iâm home all day, every day of the week, so I have plenty of availability to care for your fur baby. Finding the right caretaker is an investment and you can rest assured youâre making the right decision with me! I have a small fenced in yard and one friendly dog who would be happy to keep your fur baby company. Iâm happy to work with you to ensure your pet is safe & comfortable whether in your home or mine. Safety is a priority so pets are never left together unsupervised.
âThis was my first time leaving my dog, Aldo, for such a long period, so I was honestly a bit nervous at first. The first couple of days were the hardest for me, and I found myself checking in often. Donte was very understanding and kept me updated, which really helped. After the first few days, I started receiving regular videos, pictures, and even video calls, and that made a huge difference. I could see Aldo was not just okay, he was actually having a great time. Heâs normally the only dog at home, but during his stay, he had other dogs to interact with and played and enjoyed himself. It honestly felt like he was the one on vacation, not me. Aldo is a 12-year-old senior dog and can be a picky eater, so I was concerned about how he would adjust. Donte was very patient with him and made sure he was comfortable. When I picked him up, Aldo was completely himself, calm, normal, and clearly well taken care of. That meant a lot to me. I also really appreciated the home environment. There were always people around, which helped Aldo feel more at ease since heâs used to that at home. Overall, Iâm very grateful for the care and attention Aldo received. You can tell Donte genuinely cares about the dogs he watches. I would definitely trust him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.â

âAlice did a wonderful job taking care of Sandy and keeping us updated. She watched her for 2 weeks and made sure we received plenty of pictures and knew how Sandy was doing while we were away.â

âJake was very easy to communicate with and it was clear our pup was treated very well during her stay with him. We really appreciated him watching her on relatively short notice and we would definitely reach out to Jake again in the future.â

âZach had a good time while Dana took care of him. She did a great job working with his limited vision and keeping him active. She has a fenced area which was perfect for him to get outside. She kept me up to date with photos of him daily outside enjoying himself which was really appreciated.â
âCarismeldi watched my pup Prada from Friday to Sunday and she was great. She kept me in the loop with pics and updates throughout the day, which I really appreciated. Prada looked happy, comfortable, and totally at ease the whole time. She was easy to communicate with, super sweet, and you can tell she genuinely cares. Iâd definitely book with her again and recommend her to anyone needing a solid sitter.â

âDerek always takes such amazing care of Kobe! We are so appreciative of Derekâs consistent communication, endless love of Kobe, and willingness to accommodate Kobeâs needs.â

âLiam was fantastic with Maggie, and she loved playing with Jack! Liam was incredibly communicative providing updates and photos of Maggie which is so comforting when being away from your fur baby. We highly recommend booking with him!â

Katie and family were great with our dog, she stayed 8 days with them. They took her on walks, played with her, cuddled with her and kept us informed of how she was doing! It was easy to communicate with Katie and she responded promptly. They have a fenced backyard. We would definitely leave our dog with Katie again!

Brooke went above and beyond with our Phoebe! She took Phoebe on so many adventures and I knew she was having a great time. Brooke provided ample photos throughout her stay. Phoebe and Mochi got along really well. We would definitely have Brooke care for Phoebe in a future stay!

Su and her family did an amazing job taking care of Milo for our trip! I got daily updates and he looked like he was having a blast. I really appreciated how flexible they were with meet up times too. Weâll definitely be reaching out again when we need someone to watch him!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Roverâs reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
