âChristin was great with Santos! He seemed so happy to be there. It was apparent that she is a natural dog lover who appreciates different canine personalities. She cared for him during the most trying times of doing so with any dog, involving historic cold weather. And went above and beyond the duty of just 'watching him'. Communication was great and I will not hesitate to use her againâ

âGregory was very responsive to my last minute request for boarding. My dog is little and anxious, and I was not sure how she would do with another dog as large as Koda, Gregoryâs dog. But Koda turned out to be very well trained and had a lovely calm demeanor. Maya was very comfortable and I will definitely be using Gregory again!â

âAllison and the girls took such great care of Cookie! As first time Rover users, Allison was patient with my husband and provided regular check-ins, updates and pictures! It was clear Cookie had a nice time and was much less stressed than when we typically board her. We look forward to booking again with Allison and Kevin in the future!â

âWe couldnât have asked for a better experience with Michael & Loraine! It was our first time leaving Bomi with someone outside of family, and they were so patient, kind, and reassuring from the start â answering all our questions and even inviting us to see their clean, spacious home before booking. While we were away, they kept in touch with thoughtful updates and photos, and it was clear Bomi was happy, comfortable, and loved like family. Weâre so grateful for their care, attention, and kindness, and would absolutely trust them with Bomi again. Highly recommend!â

âLynda is great! I 100% recommend her. This was my first time leaving my dog meatball somewhere else and I was very nervous since he is an anxious and hyperactive dog. Lynda was very patient with meatball and very communicative, she was also great when it came to introducing meatball with other dogs, meatball was so happy when I picked him up and tired (which is good).â

âI cannot speak highly enough of my expirience with Mel and Shilohs stay. I felt at ease knowing my dog was in such good hands. I received updates and photos of my dog while I was gone and saw how much fun ahe was having. Mel was a great help and I will plan to use her in the future!â

âMelanie was amazing!! I really appreciated that she asked lots of questions about my two boys because it gives me peace of mind that their doggy sitter will take the best care of them. Which was actually what happened! She sent lots of photos of updates during the stay. Her dog Pippa was also so sweet and got along great with Mr and Captain. We had a change of plans at the end and Melanie was so helpful in accommodating us. Would definitely recommend her to everyone!â

âT. Monee clearly cares very much for dogs and did a great job keeping me informed about how Alice was getting along. Her backyard is perfect for letting the dogs outside safely.â

âRyan was easy to communicate with and send photo/videos throughout the time my dog spent with him and his family. I would recommend them for sitting your dog.â

âVanessa and her family are terrific people and cared for our dog like she was part of the family. Will try and book with Vanessa first for all future travel!â

About: Hi, my name is Shandara. I live in Roxborough and I have a Standard poodle named Biscotti. Biscotti and I love to go on long walks and explore the neighborhood. If you live in the area, youâve probably seen us around! Biscotti is so adorable and we love to try fun haircuts, so he tends to attract a lot of attention. Iâve taken care of pets since I was a child. Growing up, my family had dogs, cats, bunnies, turtles, and fish. Iâve had my own dog now for 5 years and Iâve been trusted by many family members and friends to care for their pets. Having a fur baby myself, I understand the struggle and anxiety that come with needing to find the right care. We all hope for someone responsible and loving who will make our pet feel right at home. My hope is to be that person for you. My goal is to provide exceptional care so you can enjoy your time away knowing that your loved one is in good hands. I recently left my 9-5 in Investment Operations to pursue my dreams of working for myself. Iâm home all day, every day of the week, so I have plenty of availability to care for your fur baby. Finding the right caretaker is an investment and you can rest assured youâre making the right decision with me! I have a small fenced in yard and one friendly dog who would be happy to keep your fur baby company. Iâm happy to work with you to ensure your pet is safe & comfortable whether in your home or mine. Safety is a priority so pets are never left together unsupervised.
âYuka was great, she took care of Quila wonderfully and kept us up to date with her. She was caring and Quila came back super happy and well cared thanks to Yuka and her kids.â

âDaja was phenomenal with my pup Samson! Daja was very easy to coordinate with and was super communicative about how Samson was doing. My pup left with a smile on his face, so I will be rebooking with Daja in the future!!â

âZach had a good time while Dana took care of him. She did a great job working with his limited vision and keeping him active. She has a fenced area which was perfect for him to get outside. She kept me up to date with photos of him daily outside enjoying himself which was really appreciated.â
âSamantha was great! Very knowledgeable about dogs. She sent me a picture of her daughter reading Milo a book. Adorable! She kept me updated about Milo and informed me of a health condition with Milo. Very much appreciated!â

âDanielle was WONDERFUL!!! This was the first time we left Winnie with Danielle but it will not be the last. We got daily updates and felt Winnie was being loved like she was part of the family.â

âKristin was wonderful with Charlie, and when I had a slight change in plans was able to accommodate them very easily. Was always responsive and sent me lots of photos from the weekend. Will definitely send Charlie back!â

âIâm just not sure where to start to express my LOVE FOR LIZZY!!!!â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸I was new to Roover and my furbaby Zeus had never been outside of his home without međŠ. Lizzy calmed my anxiety so well. She was so warm and inviting and even allowed for us to do a brief meeting a few weeks before our boarding time was set to start. Zeus absolutely loves LizzyâŚ. She took care of my baby for 5 days. I looked forward the picture updates I was get from Lizzy, she did a wonderful job setting my mind at ease. I will certainly be booking with Lizzy for all our boarding needs.â¤ď¸â

âThis was my first time using Shamira. She took such good care of my little Nina and made her feel so comfortable. Nina is an older dog who is blind so she has special needs. Mary was an incredible host! I'm a returning pet guest and could not recommend Mary more! Mary is always very attentive and frequently updates. My dog could not have been more excited to see Mary when we dropped her off (this is our third time). 10/10 will contact Mary first for future sittings

I highly recommend Maria for pet sitting! She took care of my 5 month old Golden Retriever puppy over the Fourth of July weekend and did an awesome job and he seemed very comfortable with her and her partner. She also sent videos of him a few times while I was away. I highly recommend her!

I needed a backup sitter for the holiday weekend because I could not reach my primary sitter. I came across Jackieâs profile and instantly felt at ease. Jackie was very accommodating, agreeing to a meet-and-greet before booking, and she even picked up and dropped off my pup! Javier came home nice and tired, and I think he enjoyed the time away from his new puppy brother. Thanks, Jackie!

We couldn't be happier with the care our dogs received while we were on vacation! Bella was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared for our dogs as if they were her own. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our dogs in great hands. We are so grateful. We would absolutely recommend Bella to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter, and we'll definitely be booking with her again! Thank you for doing such a wonderful job! đž

Jennifer provided an amazing and comfortable environment for our dog Blaze. I could tell instantly that Blaze was safe and happy in her care. Jennifer has lots of dogs that know how to play and have fun. Overall, it was a great experience and I canât recommend Jennifer enough.

We had such a wonderful experience leaving our dog in Regina's care. From the very beginning, she was incredibly welcoming and made both us and our dog feel completely comfortable. The handoff process was seamless and stress-free, and it was clear right away that our dog settled in nicely with her. Throughout the stay, Regina was kind, thoughtful, and consistently kept us updated on how he was doing. We especially appreciated all the photos and messages she sent â seeing him happily playing, going on hikes in the parks, and enjoying himself gave us so much peace of mind. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about his well-being and treated him with so much attention and affection. Leaving your pet with someone else can be difficult, but Regina made us feel completely at ease the entire time. We are truly grateful for the care she provided. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter, and we will definitely be using her again in the future.

Our dog Halle had a wonderful stay with Brittany! She sent us pics and updates and we could tell that Halle was getting lots of walks, pets and love. Halle is dog-reactive and Brittany took great care handling her. It was so nice to return from vacation to a very happy dog. We would be delighted to have Brittany watch Halle for us again in the future.

Zoe is the best dog sitter!! Itâs clear she cares deeply about your pet and making sure they feel comfortable. This is our second time having her watch Wallace. We really appreciate the updates and cute pictures she sends us! Wallace absolutely loves her. We always feel comfortable with her watching him and will definitely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Roverâs reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
